  1. hmm, i wonder when that was written? if publishers would date their articles maybe we could know.
  2. beer trading is a pretty big thing on the internets. beeradvocate, reddit, instagram, beerexchange, etc all have means of facilitating trades. where you’re located and what you have access to will determine what beers are obtainable for you.
  3. i haven’t visited, didn’t realize there was a restaurant involved. edit: i’m an idiot, i thought you were talking about celis, not nxnw south. carry on.
  4. meaning the taproom? it costs nothing to run a taproom. i don’t see how that could possibly make sense if you’re keeping the building.
  5. tucker is classified as a rookie for 2019 season.
  6. Coincidentally, I just got wind today about Strange Land selling some equipment. Have no actual info on the status of the business.
  7. i’ve also had solid beers from baileson. not one i considered sub-par. haven’t had beer from most on greenspoint’s list, but he did name a couple i would agree with. by the way, greenspoint, have you had a GHBC beer since your visit during our first month?
  8. taproom is kind of weird, being an old mexican restaurant, but the beer is fantastic.
  9. their IPA game is lacking, but 5 o’clock pilz and summer pils are great. i still enjoy spring bock and christmas ale, and the bishop’s barrel is as good a clean (non-funky) barrel aged program as any in Texas. i’m also still a sucker for pumpkinator. edit: to add that eureka’s mini boss is easily the best canned Houston IPA. it laps art car (same guy created both recipes).
  10. either of those guys could get easily get $35M per if they were willing to sign a 3 year deal.
  11. i would be shocked if they’re not even checking in with boras periodically.
  12. it’s the Hall’s fault for their stupid ass max-10 rule
  13. i probably drink about 10-12 beers a week and i’m at a brewery minimum 6 days a week.
  14. why would anyone want to do this? and why would you want those people in your bar?
  15. this is 99.5% true opening and running a brewery is extraordinarily expensive. unless you catch absolute fire, you’re not paying 2-3 full time salaries on taproom sales alone. maaaybe if you’re an industry name and sell some upfront equity at a high valuation before you open with zero debt.
  16. danny is a moron. i don’t mind him on the hardline. he’s kind of funny and has good stories, but if he has to actually discuss anything other music, he’s fucking clueless. corby and jake are both 10x smarter than danny.
  17. New Heights and Bearded Iris in Nashville.
