  1. Chicken Station
This place is affordable and delicious. It's the same chef that used to run Latin Bites when it was downtown. He left Houston for a couple of years and is back. It's a bit out of the way at 7001 Harrisburg Boulevard.

had to look up where this is. i’ve lived in houston for 30 years and don’t think i’ve ever been within 2 miles of that spot.
  2. winter warmer/christmas ale check in.

    st arnolds

    legal holiday

    breckenridge christmas

cant find jubleale or anchor yet...anyone?

any others to add to the list?

several good ones already listed. the only Great Divide beer i buy all year is their winter warmer, Hibernation. love that beer.

also, didn’t see it above, and not a malt-forward beer, but Sierra Nevada Celebration should be in every beer drinker’s fridge this time of year.

  5. Anybody know how import beers have done during the craft beer surge? I can't even remember the last import I drank. It's probably been at least 5 years with the exception of a few Mexican beers here and there.

    very well
  6. Is Karbach's 2018 Yule Shoot Your Eye Out their worst offering yet?
I'd say yes. RIP to one of former favorites.

one would have to still be buying their offerings to opine on your question

  7. Does anyone else have a soft spot for Budwesier? It's so goddamn consistent and 5% booze and cheap and drinkable. It's nothing worth writing home about but knowing you can be anywhere on the map and hammer back 7 of em easily is a nice feeling. It's like enjoying the occasional Johnny Walker or Grey Goose.

    nope

  8. Toppling Goliath is selling tickets to their 2018 KBBS release party. Can’t find what the ticket price is, but IF you’re able to score a ticket, you are entitled to purchase one 12oz bottle for just $100. Good luck everyone!

Unrelated, Great Heights Brewing is having an anniversary party Saturday November 17. We’ll have new beers, special glassware, and a couple of bands. No ticket required.
