  1. I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne. “Let my armies be the rocks and the trees and the birds in the sky…”
  2. Gotta love those shit-eating grins from Toto.
  3. Are you fucking kidding me, George?? Wow!!!
  4. How about Joan? Ah come on, I'm eating here.
  5. look at this…they are redoing the Cloud Club!
  6. I'm still anxiously waiting on my rejection to come in. Figure it will be tomorrow or over the weekend.
  7. That's more or less where I'm at. Did Monte Carlo this past May and will wait until 2024 to do that again. I'll probably just forgo F1 on this trip, as you said plenty of other stuff to do if the race experiences aren't going to be worth it.
  8. Serious question…any of you ever attend Paul Ricard? Thoughts? We’re going over next July and I’ve mostly talked myself out of attempting Austria. Thinking about a few days on the Riviera and going to PC for the race weekend.
  9. Someone I recently met from Glasgow recommended this, too...they also said to get a driver. Also, check out the Witchery Restaurant/Hotel.
  10. Like the scene from Major League...doesn't matter, nobody is watching anyways.
  11. Nothing wrong IMO with 2-3 countries and capitals over 2 weeks...especially with kids 11 and 14. As others have said, picking one country and staying for longer periods is always going to be MUCH more preferable but depending on how often you get to travel over there, I completely understand wanting to see as much as possible (finding the right balance and keeping the wife/kids entertained is a major trick). What did your kids like about London and what is it that appeals to you re: Amsterdam? I'm not sure anywhere in Europe is dealing with more significant travel clusterfucks right now...especially at Schiphol. Check out the Italy and France threads too if you haven't, lots of great info in those.
  12. You don't have to worry about anything UFCU related...once you have an open account with them (or any federally-insured CU for that matter), you can live pretty much anywhere and retain your accounts so long as they remain in good standing. Is the work thing permanent? If so, I'd just buckle up and make the changes to everything if you want any kind of peace of mind with things like your taxes and insurance...to name a couple. You can obviously keep everything in TX of course, but legally I'd consider CA your primary residence if that's truly what it is now.
  13. “A proper hand grenade of an engine blowup.” Lol Brundle.
  14. Looks like Ferrari’s day. Max might, might even struggle to make the podium now sans a safety car.
  15. Don't think so...just 8 points to 1st place down to 1 point for 8th place.
  16. Part of me feels bad for Griner but come on, asking for mercy from Russia since you didn't "intend" to break any laws? While showing up at court wearing Nipsey Hussle and Jimi Hendrix t-shirts? WTF does she think she's doing? IMO it's sad that such a high % of affluent kids under say 30 or even 35 just aren't accustomed to dealing with consequences for their actions, and therefore they seem to put themselves into precarious situations thinking they'll just get away with it like they do at home. We see these stories all the time...yet it continues happening. Warmbier, those three people who "hiked" into Iran...now Griner...etc...what compels these people to enter and/or take risks in such anti-west (or anti-American) countries or territories?

    London

Just takes a few more $$ and it's glorious. When searching AirBnB or VRBO in summer months, you've got to make sure units have A/C even if the chances are 50/50 you'll need it.
