Yep. That’s what my playing partner and I got sloshed on while winning the Epic Fail Trophy for finishing last place at the Inaugural Shaggybevo (RIP) Open at Mo Willy, circa….fuck I can’t even remember. I only really recall getting cart stuck in mud and my buddy form tackling me on the 18th green.

for you old timers, I believe Snow Dog was one of our foursome.

What happened to Snow Dog?  Haven’t seen him in forever.

Interestingly enough, so did my pledge brother Charlie Hodge, who’s one of the funniest people on the planet.

Randomly partied with him and a bachelor party group he was with July Fourth weekend in South Padre around 2003ish.  He was super nice and pretty chill actually compared to others in the group.  Or he just wasn’t coked out of his mind like a few of the others were.

  3. The KC offense wasn’t very good this year and they still made it. They desperately need WR’s and some RB’s, but unless Mahomes regresses a lot they probably go on a NE type run.  Personally I’m already tired of watching them in every Super Bowl

So yes cheese or no cheese? I don’t doubt they’ll be better than the sausage stuffed ones but my Cajun wife is a little skeptical. The brisket ones kick all kinds of ass though. They didn’t have them at my heb today

I’d go with a pepper jack with boudin, but not the shredded.  Off a block of three pepper.

85 and humid in Houston right now.

It better be cool this summer.

    Please?

    the Farmer’s Almanac says no…

The Farmers' Almanac predicts a “Thunder and Zing Spring” for 2025, with wet, stormy weather across much of the United States and South, despite warmer-than-normal conditions.

Texas and Oklahoma are expected to remain mostly dry, though the states will start spring with below-normal temperatures. Then, the Almanac states May will bring warmer-than-usual conditions, and above-average heat is expected through summer, with rainfall staying slightly below to near normal.

This warming trend coincides with the peak of Solar Cycle 25, expected in July 2025. While high solar activity has historically been linked to warmer global temperatures, this connection has weakened in recent decades. Notably, Solar Cycle 25 has already surpassed the peak intensity of Solar Cycle 24, indicating a particularly active cycle.

"A fairly active severe weather season is expected, with the potential for damaging winds, hail and tornadoes—especially in the Deep South, which is forecast to see a wetter-than-normal spring and more frequent thunderstorms," the Almanac states.

coaches want to win games.  you got benched because you were a shitty player.

My favorite excuse in a small town is “my kid doesn’t play because his last name isn’t x, y or z”.  No, little Johnny doesn’t play because he drops half his passes in practice.

His younger brother, who I think also played at Texas, coached me in football and baseball my freshman year. Dude was a true shitbag, old school meathead coach. He told me that I needed to quit baseball and focus on football and then literally benched me for the entire season to make a point. He got hired away to the Midland area after that and I think he became a HC and AD down the line. I’m sure he’s fucked plenty of other people over as he’s advanced. They seem like a great family.

We had multiple people quit football because he was too tough, most of them were also gen Z type soft before that was a thing though.

He married DeLoss Dodds daughter, not sure for how long

His wife when he was our coach was also a student when he was a coach at a previous school, she was hot as hell.

If you want to do like for like, I think Bill Boy Bryant should be in consideration.

He was my coach in high school for a bit.  He was a bit ahead of his time trying to run the spread offense we see everywhere now in 1995.  Then he had sex with a student and got fired.

  9. I started on January 20th, no booze, diet of basically chicken breast, turkey, fish and vegetables.  I've worked out 15 of the last 16 days after not doing much of anything the last 6 months. I feel great and can already tell a big difference in the amount of cardio I can do. Haven’t weighed in yet, waiting for the three week mark of working out but I can see changes already.  Thinking of pushing the strict diet and no booze to 60 days minimum.

SEC+ is the same exact thing as LHN.

I just enjoyed the ease of just turning on my TV instead of signing up for another streaming service on top of the countless ones I already pay for and from what I’ve seen of SEC announcers during football, I think I might actually prefer Lowell over them…

How do you find a good therapist? I've been down the online rabbit hole a few times and wound up with people that were...ok. Decent ideas but clearly not committed to following through. I'm mad at myself for trusting people that ultimately didn't care.

Where are you located?  Here’s a site that has ratings for therapists.
