    You went full retard

You must be new to watching the NBA. He was considered a defensive liability for the first few years of his career, slowly morphing into average towards the end of his tenure with OKC. He didn't get recognition for being good to very good until he went to the Warriors, which was my point.

I did perhaps overlook the possibility that he got better when he left the Thunder because Oklahoma sucks, so there's that.

That looks right. You must be a google search guru, I looked all over searching "false front clips" and never came across that. Nice - thanks.

Thought about just buying new ones but I'm so sick of those cabinets after pulling 20+ doors off plus drawers, sanding, 7 layers of gel stain and 3 layers of topcoat that I would pay $50 for one of those clamps just to not have to take any more shit apart.

  3. I pulled off my cabinets to re-stain them. This is from the sort of false-drawer things that go directly below the sink - it's what connects them back to the actual face of the cabinets. One of the little C clamp looking things broke off when I pulled the false drawer off, and now I have no idea where to find a new one. Looked all over the cabinets/hardware/fasteners section at Home Depot, no dice. Any ideas? Pic attached

  4. Curious as to everyone's thoughts as to why players who are average or below defensively suddenly look capable on defense when they go to GSW. For a specific example, I'd refer to you to Kevin Durant.

Draymond's numbers would surely go down a bit if he left the Warriors, but the flipside to that is that the Warriors defensive stats (and general ability) would drop significantly across the board. Durant is an average defender who has suddenly looked good since he went to the Warriors. Curry was a turnstile who is adequate now. All of those would revert to the mean and the Warriors team would suffer quite a bit. They'd likely be a rich man's version of the Baron Davis Warriors teams who would score stupid numbers of points and also give them up, rather than the balanced two-way team they've become.

I fucking hate Draymond Green but he's a tremendous basketball player and I agree with the notion that he's the 2nd most important player on their team. Not 2nd best, but 2nd most valuable, behind Steph. If you can't see Draymond's value then you probably never played basketball outside of your neighborhood pick-up chucking threes game. That loud, childish mother fucker impacts the game on just about every single play. Hate the dude but respect his game, as anyone who knows anything should.

We'll probably never "settle" this argument because there's no way the Warriors let him walk in free agency. Klay probably, but they'll do what they need to do to keep Draymond next year. They know.

You sound fancy. I recommend you head over to Bolivar so you can rub elbows with the elite at the Ship’s Wheel.

I think you mis-read my post. If you could guarantee me midgets playing pool, I'm there all day every day.

That looks fucking great. Nice selection of draft beers ($1 Lone Star drafts too) and a driving range? Hell yeah. Looks to be about 20 minutes from where we're staying, but that's good enough for me as I won't be driving.

^^^ text box won't allow me to type for some reason.  do any of the west end places fit that description?

Not sure if you mean me, but Woody's and Buck's both look decent. Second pic I can find of the Oaks has a midget playing pool, so I mean, there's that.

Thanks. Been to the one at the Marina. Was cool, but remember being a bit blown away by the tab, something like $6 beer bottles and $12 shots.

Which of the ones that you guys are suggesting in that area are the least skeezy? Got the women folk with us, including one pregnant one.

Checked out the Mexican places. Taquilo's looks like the best bet. Does look like the waiter is going to roll out with 37 pieces of flair and try to upsell me on fish bowl margaritas with 151 floaters, but that's alright. We have some in the crowd from small town Texas that will probably think that's high-fallutin. Appreciate all the suggestions.

  9. Any recs for Mexican? Looking for something I guess semi-upscale (at least for Mexican food). I guess atmosphere less like Enchiladas y Mas, and more like Guero's or Matt's.

Basically need something bougie with good food for an odd mixed group. Strong drinks for me is a bonus.

  10. Y'all crazy. We lost three average to below average players and a guy that didn't play last year and added a top 25 guy, a good prospect, and a pick. We win 50+ next year.

Sure, it's not going to matter because the Warriors are going to blow everyone out of the water, but there's nothing the spurs could have reasonably done about that. Enjoy the ride, another winning season and playoff run, and save the concern trolling for what the hell we're going to do when the GOAT coach decides to retire. Because then we're a bottom 5 free agent destination with an owner that won't go deep into the tax, sans the best coach of all time.

Just enjoy this shit. In 4 years we'll miss 47 wins. Have fun while its here. Cant wait to watch our boy LMA continue his renaissance and Demar, Rudy, DJ and Lonnie be the most athletic spurs team we've had in awhile.

Damn, I wouldn't mind seeing head and the heart,  but don't want to deal with cota.

At least this year they're offering in and outs. Back when I thought I was going, plan was to load a cooler in the car and make a few trips out there to hang and drink beer during sets I didn't really care about. Make it a little more bearable, and I'd be buzzed..

Davis is injured almost every year, has made it out of the 1st round of playoffs once.

Wall's team played better without him this last year.

Cousins is a malcontent and coming off a horrible injury for a basketball player.

Towns was thoroughly outplayed by Capela when the games mattered most.

Booker is the best player for one of the worst franchises in the league.

Now do the rest of the 12 lottery picks and 7 other 1st round picks. 5 out of 24 is a pretty shitty percentage. Even then, Davis is really the only guy most NBA franchises would claim as their foundational player.

So far these 5 players have accounted for a 934-1329 record in the NBA, 32-35 in the playoffs. Not one has lead their team to a conference finals.

God damn this is a stupid fucking argument. I have no ties to Kentucky and the only player on this list that I actually like is Davis. But Jesus Christ.

"Davis is injured almost every year, has made it out of the 1st round of playoffs once."
    - AD is a top five player in the NBA. There is nobody seriously involved with or knowledgeable about NBA basketball that wouldn't have Davis in their top 5 players. The injury thing, beyond just being stupid (he averages 68 games played per year), has nothing to do with his time at Kentucky whatsoever.

Wall's team played better without him this last year.
    - They did not. This is easy to quantify and verify, but I'll let you do your own research (narrator: he won't)

Cousins is a malcontent and coming off a horrible injury for a basketball player.
    - So fucking what? What does his injury have to do with Kentucky? You're saying that Cousins getting hurt somehow proves that Kentucky doesn't put stars into the NBA? Jesus Christ. He's a top 3 center in the league.

Towns was thoroughly outplayed by Capela when the games mattered most.
    - So fucking what? David Robinson was thoroughly outplayed by Hakeem Olajuwon in the playoffs. Clearly Robinson is a scrub.

Booker is the best player for one of the worst franchises in the league.
    - Not even sure what your point is here.

You're flailing around and throwing whatever shit you can find at the wall to see what sticks. This is bottom of the barrel, low-effort nonsense. Your post is the type of hot take you'll hear at the bar in Applebee's in Tyler Texas at 1:30 in the morning during a $2 margarita happy hour.  Dreck.
