The nfl refs (bills-chiefs) just called the exact hold OU was allowed to get away with against sweat on those two big counter TDs

Referees are like 'opinions', they never call anything as accurate/ the same...

The old saying is keep the game out of the hands (or calls) by the refs also...

It’s crazy to say that the offense failed us when we put up 48 points, but I think it’s the truth. We had way too many 3-4 plays drives consecutively in the 3rd and 4th quarters which forced our defense to be on the field for ~25 more plays than the OU defense. Our starting front 7 are not world beaters to begin with, it becomes a big problem when they are gassed. All we needed to do was score a TD at some point during the 3Q and keep momentum from completely swinging. And even with the offensive failures, OU took 3-4 true miracle plays along with a massive helping from officials to pull it off.

Both of our lines basically suck. This is understood. But I think that we have a CHANCE to win out and make the title game. It’s going to take continued high level play tomorrow Casey and Bijan, plus at least competent play on the OL and DL but all is not lost at this point in the season. Vegas had our win total at 7.5 to start the year. If we can get 9 or 10 regular season wins, I would say the year is a success.

Hey man, I will say it is human nature or something, as I witnessed 'taking the foot off the gas' vs both Kansas State & Iowa State last year for OU...
When you get so far ahead that you think the game is over (with a three score lead) it's harder to get amped back up when you see it close again..?

It could happen quicker with portal on offensive side. Looks at our recruits on defense in 2022 class. They all have the frame and arm length we need. Look at our linebacker prospects that we’re recruiting. They’re completely different looking players than the ones currently at their positions in the roster. Look at 2023 guys we’re pushing for and 2024 offers we’ve given out. You see it.

Both are not that far off & can compete in SEC on day 1, now winning the thing, well that'll take the steps you mentioned... Casey will be great for UT...
As well as Caleb for OU, the biggest question now is how to "tinker" the ego of Rattler not to do the same as the LSU running back that came (& left)...

When it was 28-7, a friend told me online, "You have to be feeling pretty good." To which I replied, "In this game, I'm never confident until the clock reads 0:00." I knew it would tighten up, but I didn't think we'd actually lose with that kind of lead.

There are lots of things to fix. Unfortunately, not all can be with the current roster. But I'm decorated we can and will beat OSU.

              Scoring Summary (Final)

Hey, in the long run, that game yesterday was about the same as Stoops vs Brown in 1999, as the new guy built up  a lead & the other rallied...

Look at the fronts on both of those teams. Look at the fronts of auburn/Georgia. Then look at ours. We aren’t built or ready for the SEC. hopefully we can overhaul. We just have the wrong body types and size.

I getcha, it's going to take a while maybe a year or 2 to get adjusted, but I think Riley & Sark can get it done, hell even Jimbo has acclimated a bit to SEC...
The trenches are going to be spots both teams need to adjust, we as fans have to turn it up week in & week out when the move is made, it's gonna 'rock'...

  6. I kept watching the game of A&M and 'Bama (while on split screen of 'Husker and GoBlue) and I thought, Tide will this out, they built for this...

After thinking of the atmosphere of the OU-UT game, I realized, both of our programs are going to need to "recalibrate" SEC intensity/ noise...
On a flip side both programs should be even more prepped to "dominate"  vs ACC/ B1G/ PAC & whoever else, in nonconference & bowls also...

Yeah, upon a search, apparently vacated wins were originally imposed. I mostly remember firings and criminal charges. Also limits on recruiting, postseason bans, and freedom for any player who wanted to to transfer. Things that caught Bill O’Brien by surprise and caused him to bolt for the NFL.

Now with NIL, why isn’t tOSU AD Gene Smith suing the NCAA to get back the vacated wins after “Tattoogate?” The most galling one was the Sugar Bowl win against Arkansas, a game which was approved by the NCAA after the scandal. And then taken away.

Yeah, nothin' about that whole process was on the up & up, NCAA needs to be dismantled & MarchMadness in the hands of "P4"...

    fuck it

I thought ESPN said the game time [way back in the month of August] hell, I like morning corny dogs...

Maybe the early kick will gum-up UT on offense, Lord knows OU needs all the help it can get in 2021.?!

  9. Unless Scott can pull off the mild upset vs Sparty tonite, NU record in top 25:

Wins vs top 25 teams: Arkansas Sam Pittman (in 13 games) - 3 wins/ 5 losses...
Wins vs top 25 teams: Nebraska Scott Frost (in 37 games) - 0 wins/ 10 losses...

Fuck the PAC if you wanted to go there you’re a big stupid head!

Hey, hey, hey! There's no reason to get nasty.

    What popped in my noggin...

Anyway, I was fine with PAC for OU & UT (if keeping a core of rivals in a "merger"), but I am glad about move to SEC with Texas [vs B1G move w/ KU]...

  11. ACC & PAC have an "attitude" problem long term..? How to fix whole coast (other than Clemson/ Oregon & Florida State/ USC who are "meh" on football..?
I wouldn't be too surprised if in 2024 we look up & USC is indy/ Colorado joins B1G with Kansas, and suddenly PAC is behind both ACC & XII in relevance...

Not good. Kansas showing traits of inner-Baylor

Wow... I was gonna give KU some 'credit' for being allowed better tv slots so far this season vs that of in state rival Kansas State...

But I'll need to see, this must have been a hoops player to cause all this uproar... Anyway Kansas State is set for a move to MWC..?
