I just can't understand how a kid who grew up with two HOF uncles who both won SB's, who were both great QB's, who has known nothing but how to play the game, throw the ball, hold the ball, and can't even fucking hit his man right there in front of him. Dirt has more catches than any WR or RB on our entire roster. You would think he's trying to understand the Pythagoras theorem formula instead of just throwing a fucking accurate pass.

This is why we know it's between the ears.

  2. Yeah, that's it.  I've seen them on several Food Network shows.  I'm going, I don't care what my wife says, we can go get her a veracruz salmon salad somewhere else, I want some of those tacos.

  3. Thanks for all the tips, I booked a night at Paso del Norte.  I love those classic large hotels, my wife, not so much, so I get to stay in a teepee in Terlingua another night.  If you hear of a couple getting eaten by mountain lions in Big Bend, that was us.  Go Arch.

  4. Some of this thread seems to not match my expectations, but whatever.  I think this song is brilliant.  It captures the essence of a brief affair and its permanent consequences but it paints it all in the context of every day life.  The dude is a genius:

  5. Holy hell, we don't play Florida for 3 weeks and they're turning into what we expected.  Yeah, if Arch plays like he did yesterday that's gonna kill our season, but it's not as if most of those were forced errors.  This mostly comes down to fixing his fucked head.  We'll see if that's possible, but this is not a talent or coaching issue, not by a long shot.

His complete fundamentals breakdown is definitely mental. Throwing late over the middle is definitely mental and not just complete garbage QB play.

Then why did you assert this?

Enough with this bullshit yips mental shit. That shit is okay for isolated stretch in a game, not 3 game stretches especially vs bad competition.

It wouldn't shock me if he has some injury that isn't helping, but that guy is clearly in his own head.  See (for instance) Chuck Knoblach.

I stayed there a few months ago for work and my flight landed late. Was still busy in the area, well lit, etc. There will be enough people around to feel "safe," but I wouldn't necessarily be walking around down there after midnight.

My guess is that midnight would be the return leg.  I'm not calling a rideshare for a block, though.  The driver would probably shank us.

Hotel Paso Del Norte is historic, nice and near your event. Marriott property if that matters to you.

That's the one I was aiming for.  Is it a safe walk at night?  My wife & I.  I am a very large, threatening man.  Maybe.

  9. We're going to a concert in El Paso on October 1.  It's at the Abraham Chavez Theater, in an area with nearby museums, a ballpark, etc.  There's also a nearby Greyhound bus station, which seems suboptimal.

Anyway, we'd like to stay within walking distance of the theater but not if that area is some dystopian hellscape.  If it IS a dystopian hellscape, where should we look for hotels within reasonable Uber/Lyft distance?

Theater is blue marker, nearest (apparently) decent hotel is red marker, part of the Marriott chain:

That was a brutal no call. At the point of attack, isolated, and critical to the play. Funny that it happened to ND but my god, incompetence.

Would have been 4th and goal from the 21.
