Yeah, that's it. I've seen them on several Food Network shows. I'm going, I don't care what my wife says, we can go get her a veracruz salmon salad somewhere else, I want some of those tacos.

LMAO at the "look at me I'm leaving" posts. How 'bout you just go away, you pussy?

What's the local chain with the drenched flautas? I gotta try that.

I was shocked he actually apologized about that one. Not that it makes him any less of a piece of shit.
Not that I think you disagree, but that kind of comment cannot be walked back. He was very clear. These vermin believe this shit.

I can't imagine playing such meh music for 6 decades. I mean, they had their moments, but it just doesn't look remotely fun at this point.
I fully understand that artists and athletes are driven by more than money but once you have enough money it had better be fun.

I had forgotten about Charlie Kirk's finger pointing at the Austin fire chief and blaming him for some of the Kerr County flood deaths. The SHORTEST line one can draw between Camp Mystic and the City of Austin is over 100 miles, but that doesn't matter, black guy responsible.

Should be required lyrics for all genres. Including opera.
Opera, you say? Truck references would have been awesome:

Thanks for all the tips, I booked a night at Paso del Norte. I love those classic large hotels, my wife, not so much, so I get to stay in a teepee in Terlingua another night. If you hear of a couple getting eaten by mountain lions in Big Bend, that was us. Go Arch.

Holy shit. That Moreland tune . . .
EDIT: look at every face in that crowd. THAT'S a song that connects. Everyone in the audience had lived that. Wow. I need to check out more of his music.

Some of this thread seems to not match my expectations, but whatever. I think this song is brilliant. It captures the essence of a brief affair and its permanent consequences but it paints it all in the context of every day life. The dude is a genius:
-
Holy hell, we don't play Florida for 3 weeks and they're turning into what we expected. Yeah, if Arch plays like he did yesterday that's gonna kill our season, but it's not as if most of those were forced errors. This mostly comes down to fixing his fucked head. We'll see if that's possible, but this is not a talent or coaching issue, not by a long shot.

Good article on the yips.
That is good, thanks.

I assume anyone who doesn't know what the yips are never played golf. I was a below average golfer, but even with that meager game there where periods where basic skills just evaded me, and it was definitely in my head.

So you're mad nobody replied to your PR thread about "the blues" and this chick (who seems quite talented), so you post a link that doesn't appear to link a sad song?

His complete fundamentals breakdown is definitely mental. Throwing late over the middle is definitely mental and not just complete garbage QB play.
Then why did you assert this?
Enough with this bullshit yips mental shit. That shit is okay for isolated stretch in a game, not 3 game stretches especially vs bad competition.
It wouldn't shock me if he has some injury that isn't helping, but that guy is clearly in his own head. See (for instance) Chuck Knoblach.

I stayed there a few months ago for work and my flight landed late. Was still busy in the area, well lit, etc. There will be enough people around to feel "safe," but I wouldn't necessarily be walking around down there after midnight.
My guess is that midnight would be the return leg. I'm not calling a rideshare for a block, though. The driver would probably shank us.

Hotel Paso Del Norte is historic, nice and near your event. Marriott property if that matters to you.
That's the one I was aiming for. Is it a safe walk at night? My wife & I. I am a very large, threatening man. Maybe.

We're going to a concert in El Paso on October 1. It's at the Abraham Chavez Theater, in an area with nearby museums, a ballpark, etc. There's also a nearby Greyhound bus station, which seems suboptimal.
Anyway, we'd like to stay within walking distance of the theater but not if that area is some dystopian hellscape. If it IS a dystopian hellscape, where should we look for hotels within reasonable Uber/Lyft distance?
Theater is blue marker, nearest (apparently) decent hotel is red marker, part of the Marriott chain:
