Some of the amazon mattresses just tell you to call salvation army to pick it up if you're getting a refund. I want to know more about the memory foam mattresses at costco. Like your mom, I'm looking for something firm.
It’s firm and fucking awesome. Worst move I made was spending the last year in my deteriorating pillowtop. Best was ordering my current Costco memory foam. It’s very firm, wife thought she’d hate that but it’s been fantastic. Around $1000 iirc for a king.

Attending the funeral of a friend who died too young, and seeing his grieving widow crying uncontrollably.
Happened today.
Sorry to hear that Superhero.
I, unfortunately, lived that last year. Except it wasn’t his widow, she was prepared thru the sickness. It was his little boys crying uncontrollably that broke me.
Not much other than my girls. And it doesn’t take much with them.

From my post upthread, no one has any experience getting their prop re-worked? Figured this would be common on the lakes?
This was my first one and I guess I was just expecting more, especially from a reputable shop.

That academy pump you linked sucks ass. I’ve broke a few of them, and I’m semi gentle on things.

I work with about 50 of them.
They don't mince words, at all.
They are tall af.
Ive yet to find a good looking Dutch woman.
If you aren't Dutch, you aren't much.
And as they will tell you, on the 8th day, God created the Dutch.
They are also tremendously smarter than Americans, legends in their own minds.

Lowe's (Kobalt) also sells one that has both a 12V DC and a 120V AC plug built in, so you can use it at home. I have one and it's pretty solid. Fifty bucks I think.
My old man has that one. Has been very solid with digital pressures etc as well.

I use one I got from Lowe’s for the last few years. We use it once every few weeks to top off the bike tires etc for the kids. I’ve used it for the boat once or twice, but those were away from home deals.
Sort of like this

60 hours is a screaming deal. Most people put that in on work days on top of their fee, at least in Tx.

Great thread idea. I keep an eye out every year. One of these days I'm going to pull the trigger if I can find the right place.

Question to those who've ever had a prop "re-worked".
I had a 26" Bravo 1 that would put my boat with full load at 64.5mph when new. It was my "everyday" prop for hauling 3-4 people with strong holeshot. I put about 250 hours on the prop, and it was down to about 61 or so with a load. Decided to have it freshened up from a very reputable prop guy in Houston. He even commented on how great it looked for the hours when I was chatting with him. Got it back and now I can't pull over 59 with it with medium load. It still revs exactly same (not over/underrevving) which leads me to believe he didn't adjust the pitch any. The hole shot is not appreciably different, better or worse. It has a removable and new hub in it, so not slipping. The speed is just gone. This was the first time I've ever had one freshened up. Before I take it back asking wtf, I thought I'd ask any of those who've been thru the process. I was expecting some increase from where I was, especially since he started with a pretty damn good prop (no dings, nothing bent, not shallow holeshot abused).
tldr - I paid a very reputable shop a few hundred bucks to lose speed.
I'm ordering a new 28" B1FS to take this ones place but still would like to at least get what I paid for.

Curious why you guys looking for deeper draft bay boats aren't considering Blue Waves? My BIL has one he runs down in Galveston and it's been a good boat. I've always been partial to Pathfinders for no reason except how they look.
Because they are nearly as expensive as a PF with much less of the resale benefits, and about 10 years ago they were an entry level bay boat built in Oklahoma. It's hard to shake that reputation imo.
Of the previous list, the PF, SW, and Ranger will hold the best value. Bay rangers aren't all that popular in TX, can't speak to Fla.

Ethanol free is pretty easy to find here. There's at least one station on the four different routes I take to the ramp(s).
Thinking about a 22-24ft bay boat. 2009 or newer. I'd prefer 200+hp but I'd probably settle for 150. Thinking: Ranger/Pathfinder/Triton/Skeeter/Shearwater and maybe a Sportsman on an outside chance. Undecided on T-top or no T-top.
The sportsmans don't have the build quality of the others you listed imo. PF/SW, then Ranger/Triton/Skeeter.
Being in Fla, I'd add a L&B Backwater to the list, I've always liked those. I'm a firm proponent as putting the biggest reliable motor you can on the stern.
Or you can skip your kids going to college and get a Morada...

Starting DTs in Spring practice are Madubuike and Keke. Mack not even starting heading into his SR year.
Talk about a bust.
I was so upset when they flirted here then stuck with aggy. There's a very good reason I don't do this shit for a living.

Sorry for your loss Vox. I lost one of my best friends last year to it. 42 yo and left two small boys behind. Still hurts tremendously.

I always enjoyed pacing cars down the Brazos and Sabine. I knew I was done with slow boats when I had one pace me from Golden Meadow to Fourchon at ~70.
I do miss the super shallow flats tho.

You couldn't pay me enough to deal with 10W in the evenings. I live on the west side of town but don't have to deal with that, luckily. Like someone said earlier, leaving at 1530 is fine. You leave at 1600 and it's a 90+ minute ordeal to Cinco. And it's only getting worse with everything still expanding west rapidly.

been using this for last few years. Didn't know if I would like it, coming from a very large wallet. Will buy actual gator when this one wears out. Been a great wallet so far.

What's on your current gun "grocery list" ....not necessarily a bucket list but what are you shopping for or clearing safe space for now?
Winchester 70 Super Grade .300 win mag or .338 win mag
I’m in process of putting together a model 70 from a really nice supergrade stock I picked up. Will be a .270 with some custom massages.
I think I’m going to build one more in 22-250 after the .270
Then im back to saving my pennies for a Joel Etchen 687. I’m going to end up putting off an AR until something happens and they go away. I need to get me one or two of them at some point.
