Haji played a good half. He was basically being used as a false 9 and distracting their CBs.

Agreed on the former.  He played wide most of the time, and I still say Reyna could do everything Haji did but more.

  2. Tactically one of the best halves I’ve seen GGG coach. Still believe we are wasting space on the field with a true 9 since we provide absolutely no service to a striker. I don’t think we would miss the holdup play versus having another player like Reyna or Aaronson on the field that can advance the ball through the middle. We don’t have any real strategy in the final third, so the more guys that can produce individual magic on the field the better.

We're playing scared. Someone needs to attempt something downfield.

We are sitting deep and trying to counter. Solid strat against a better team. The majority of englands possession is just swinging it around the back.

With the Iran result do we now rest Zimmerman and/or Dest to avoid that second yellow?

I’d sit Dest regardless. Have Yedlin defend for 60 and then bring in Dest for 30 minutes of lung busting. Not sure we can hide his defensive weakness regardless, England is pretty deep.

  5. Watched the Germany game but got busy and couldn’t post until now. Japan is the model for what the US should be doing, but GGG just isn’t capable of that level of coaching. Japan plays to their strengths, and mitigates their weaknesses. It’s so simple but you have to be able to identify what you are good at and be brave enough to play systems and players that amplify those strengths.

  6. At this point I’m not sure why we even play a striker since we do nothing to provide service to them. Play Reyna up top and let him and CP just interplay off each other, bring AARon on for the first guy that gets tired. We weren’t going to win in the air against Wales, and it won’t be any better against England. Might as well try to cut them up with speed.

People are just overreacting. This is the "FIRE SARK" phase of the loss. The party will regroup after Trump announces and I think his faction will prevail. Interestingly a bunch of MAGA guys have backstabbed Trump alongside the "nevertrump" limpdicks, and Trump sucks at many things but is great at holding grudges. It's gonna get interesting. A great time for hangers-on to weasel their way into his festering inner circle. They are entering a world of pain and almost certainly will regret doing it, but this is the time to do it.

Regardless, it’s a game of chicken and once it’s clear Trump still maintains a more than zero percentage of the R base, the party will back him if he refuses to back out. Rs know they can’t win shit with a split party vote. The R fear to alienate any of his base is paralyzing to the party leadership. Mitch hates Trump as much as many Ds, but he still tap dances around directly confronting the problem, because party uber alles.

Dems need the Georgia seat badly no matter what happens in NV and AZ. The senate map is so terrible in 2024. I doubt the dems winning the senate will damper our enthusiasm. We will still get our base in and around Atlanta to show up. Dem Voters were mainly showing up to support Warnock while republicans were mainly showing up to vote for Kemp.

I don’t think the majority of voters look at shit like that. If the senate is already locked up for Ds, the enthusiasm from Rs will pop like a balloon. Many Rs were already holding their nose to vote for him. They aren’t going to stand in line in the cold to do it for no immediate value.

Hoping like crazy Mrs GED gets the boot, but even if she does lose she's not really going anywhere. She'll be a constant guest on the Fox, Newsmax, OANN circuit, right? Dotard might even allow her at some of his rallies. Even though he hates being around losers, she'll just scream about election fraud during the rallies and suck his mushroom dick after.

Yea, no one is shitting their pants more than Kari Lake rn.  She was on the fast track to a VP ticket with Trump, but now she’ll be lucky to get a gig with OAN. Trump doesn’t tolerate losers.

Do you activate your security when you are at home? Or just before going to bed? Do you arm it, or does your spouse? People get complacent, and also make mistakes.

Any of these possibilities is more likely than a false flag deal, with brain surgery consequences.

We sell alarm services. Most people only arm their systems in away mode. Stay mode is rare, and is almost entirely by single women or female spouses with male spouses not home. Standard security has its limitations and even if armed, has openings unless someone really is paranoid and layers a lot of devices.  Standard door/window contacts only trip if opened, so if you just kick in glass and step through the hole, that sensor isn’t tripped. Glass break sensors cover a pretty small area, and most people don’t spring for having them cover every piece of glass in the home. It’s entirely possible that the system was armed, but this guy used a hammer and knocked out a bedroom window that was not in range of a glass break sensor and crawled through the opening instead of popping a pane and unlocking/opening the window to get in.

Houses are really easy to break into, and even the best security system isn’t going to stop someone with intent.
