Let's be very clear about something: Parsons is 6-3" 250, runs a sub-4.4 and has a 35" vertical.

Very few humans have existed who are on his level physically.

If he stepped onto an NBA court against a team of 6-7"+ skilled defenders, he would get smothered without mercy.

He would get a few buckets I think, but wouldn't get close to 20 once, much less on average.

Stroud's side here is on point.

In the modern era (i.e. since I was ‘young’), Antonio Gates is probably the best college basketball player to ever play in the NFL, and he only averaged 16PPG at Kent State. Fuckin’ Micah Parsons is trippin’ more than Kevin who thinks he’d win a fight with a chimp…

Seriously though, Georgia game is in DKR and likely hot as fuck that day which has to give us an advantage. Yes it gets hot in Athens, but the heat hits different in Texas.

Absolutely. Lived in Austin for 30 years and Atlanta the last 4; a ‘bad’ summer in ATL would feel like a warm fucking spring in Austin….

I order parking for my ticket group  Fortunately for me, I live downtown so I walk or ride a bike to games and don't have to deal with the parking garage bullshit. Or pay for it...$305 this year (San Jacinto lot). Yeesh.

Also, we're gonna have an extra in our season tickets this year (due to a family member who can't attend due to health reasons). Exploring options to offload it. It's a single, so not ideal for selling third-party, but we're in prime seats (lower west side, 45 yard line, row in the 20s).

So I was just playing around with numbers on the relative value of each game. For a theoretical total price of $1000 (it's actually more than that) this is what I roughly got. Could probably jack up the UGA game and practically pay for the rest of the season based on current listings on third-party sites. Curious what others thought.

    Total 100.00% $1,000.00
    CSU 9.00% $90.00
    UTSA 7.00% $70.00
    ULM 7.00% $70.00
    MSU 15.00% $150.00
    UGA 31.00% $310.00
    UF 16.00% $160.00
    UK 15.00% $150.00

You don’t want the dude willing to pay $70 for a UTSA single anywhere within 5  rows….

Latz has been a pleasant surprise so far in the bullpen.  Latz/Sborz/Robertson/Yates so far has been better than any combination of four from last year.

…and Chapman with 1.70 WHIP and 5.40 ERA. Josh Hader looking strong at 1.50/6.39…

  5. I haven’t bought parking passes since I moved from Austin 7 years ago, but went back in this year. Do they still send you pieces of cardboard or is there some kind of scan system? I’m going to make 5 games this year but probably sell the other 2…

Or just park and get in a nice walk for free, you could also flag down a pedicab for $10 and it would still be cheaper.

A ‘nice walk’? How many games did we play last year that didn’t hit at least 90, 1 or 2?

It's also beneficial to wait until roster cuts in the fall because it doesn't count against the comp formula, which is why some teams (Baltimore in particular) will wait until then to fill in holes

That timeframe for compensatory pick purposes used to start with the first day of free agency and end the Tuesday after the draft; not sure if that’s still the case or not…

sorry for not cropping out the douche on the right.

Stevie was hot, but her voice sounded like a goat being strangled. She was only the 3rd-best female vocalist in her own band, behind Christine McVie and Lindsey…

  9. One of my favorite UT game days was finishing off Pittsburgh was a Jason Reeves pick-6 and sprinting to my car to head down to Southpark Meadows in 1995 to check out the PJ show.

Unpopular opinion - Yield is a top 3 PJ album….

  10. It’s a shitty intersection and it shouldn’t be this way, but the guy turning right has the obligation to watch the fuck out for all the shit around him. There is a similar setup near where I live in Atlanta and there’s a honking/middle finger situation there every other cycle and a collision at least once a week….

And that’s a wrap. Seems like a depth draft. Don’t see many, if any, immediate starters in this group.

I’ll be disappointed if Lassiter isn’t a starter by the end of the year (I don’t expect any 2nd rounder to start out of camp). I’m hopeful on Bullock, and if Fisher can show enough at RT to slide Tytus inside, that really shores up our OL. Patterson and Scruggs taking the next step in year 2 is going to be critical; one of them has to be the starter at C, and the other a heavy rotation piece if not a starter at G…

  12. Hey a defensive tackle!!

Expect we’ll use some of that cap $$ on a veteran one year deal, maybe one of the remaining FAs or a low-level trade. Calais Campbell might not retire and William Gholston is still out there, those are solid rotation pieces.

I have yet to see an objective metric that says the SEC is significantly better than (or even better than) the Big 12.  Their obsession with the idea that Texas players couldn't excel in the SEC is nuts.  Three supporting data points:  1-0 vs UGA, 1-1 vs 'bama (and we got royally horsefucked by the refs on that loss).

All that bullshit from those morons is going to end after this season. I can’t motherfucking wait for the last game of the regular season…
