Or CSU was tired from playing on Tuesday then traveling. You’re missing a lot of context.

Good point; that meat grinder against Virginia followed by a 90 minute chartered flight from a private airstrip would wear any team of in-shape 21 year olds down…

Check out Jalen Green hitting his stride right before becoming eligible for a contract extension this offseason.

What are the Rockets supposed to do with him? He's looked like everything from a complete bust to a budding superstar.

I mean, the guy was still 21 last month; maybe he’s still learning? Regardless, he’s taken it to another level the last month and if he finishes he season on this roll no way you let him walk. I’m also loving Amen starting and FVV coming off the bench; has made both units stronger….

  3. Been here a million times for work, but Charlotte is the most bland, personality-less ‘major city’ in the US.

Lot of Tennessee fans around but of course almost everyone here is a ‘Heel, although the few NC State fans are incredibly vocal. Have seen one table of CSU fans but what they lack in volume they make up in not being able to hold their Fireball..

Our history as a No. 7 seed isn't great regardless.

    So we’re 2-1 as a favorite and 0-2 as a dog?

That 1999 team was just worn the fuck out by the end of the year. We started 0-4 but got things turned around with a short bench, and by mid-February we were playing as well as anyone. It caught up to us in the end; we lost to Missouri at home with a chance to win the conference, struggled against a shitty Colorado team and lost to Okie Lite in the B12 tourney, and dropped this game in Boston. Was a great season, but the light roster was just done by March.

That Duke game pissed me off; I’m not generally one to blame officiating for a loss, but they were particularly bad this game, even more so on any call on either end of the floor involving Damian James. The 2014 team was completely overmatched against Michigan, the better team definitely won that game…

Bitch you can just ignore it. It’s not a rule. But our fanbase does what they do so…

Jesus Christ man, stop taking yourself so fucking seriously. It’s a fucking internet fan board; you could take your own advice and ignore what people here say, since the vast majority of it offends your clearly superior basketball intellect.

They put up similar stats last year, but Nico doesn't cost 18 million. Nico also needs a chance to be the #1 this year to earn that big fat extension next offseason. Allen turns 32 in a few weeks and has had a plenty of injuries in his past, as well as an ACL tear. I personally don't think he's worth 18m + a multiyear extension + a 4th to get him, but if you do, great for you. No need to be a twat about it.  I don't think WR is our top need, and I would rather see DT, Safety and CB addressed. There are still some good options out there that could be had at multiple positions for a portion of that 18m.

Was more around the notion that a guy who has averaged 95 catches a year since 2017 (and that’s with one year of 66) is ‘always hurt’ than the value of the $18MM or the extension. Dick comment though; I’m mostly full of shit.

I hope Nico has taken that next step in his 3rd year like so many WRs do, and that Tank completely recovers and shows the explosiveness he showed over the 11 games he played last year.

Still, I think we have to keep in mind that our receiver room is a guy who hadn’t had 40 catches or 500 yards before last year; a guy who will be 32 in week 1, is known for his blocking and is 5 years removed from a 1,000 yard season; a guy still trying to come back from beating leukemia; and two guys who were prepping for their pro day this time last year. There is absolutely potential in this group, but given that we have a generational QB who apparently needs 2 weeks to get used to the pro game, I’d like to prioritize putting playmakers around him above everything and let DeMeco scheme around weaknesses on D. Shit, worse comes to worse he looks like he could suit up and give us 30 snaps a game….

Thank you chicago. Was thinking an offense of Fields, swift, kmet, moore, Allen and Harrison Jr would’ve been tough to stops

Now it’s no Harrison Jr and a rookie QB

Eh, wide receivers are a dime a dozen, right?

He probably would have held out if they weren’t  going to extend him.  I doubt he goes anywhere with just one year left.

As opposed to staying in LA with one year left? Post a list of all the 30+ year old non-QBs in NFL history who have held out of an $18MM deal…

Keenan Allen is always hurt, would have been a waste of 18m.

Did you watch the NFL last year? Compare Keenan Allen’s numbers to Nico; this would have been a hell of a one-year rental. He missed some time with injury in 2022; other than that he’s caught at least 95 passes every year since 2016. It didn’t work out, but a dude like this on a one-year deal would be huge for CJ’s development. This is real football, not your fucking fantasy team….
