Educational purposes. Didn’t the government used to pay farmers to not grow their crops because they weren’t needed

In the 1980s in Texas it was called Payment In Kind (PIK). Don’t want to Cloak Room this shit up based on some of the dipshit comments downstream, but there are very legitimate reasons to intentionally not plant certain crops on a certain section….

I think these 19 are probably gone before pick #23

    Caleb Williams
    Drake Maye
    Jayden Daniels
    Marvin Harrison Jr
    Malik Nabers
    Joe Alt
    JJ McCarthy
    Rome Odunze
    Dallas Turner
    Quinyon Mitchell
    Terrion Arnold
    Brian Thomas Jr
    Olu Fashanu
    Taliese Fuaga
    Byron Murphy II
    Troy Fautanu
    Brock Bowers
    Amarius Mims
    Jared Verse

I’d move Mims and Thomas to the ‘maybe’ line and add Laiatu Latu to this list, but yeah pretty much everyone else is in play at 23. It’s too bad they don’t have the draft before free agency instead of afterward; I think most GMs would rather be able to just pick talent in the draft and plug roster holes in FA…

    Vegans.

Our new receptionist has dropped vegan into our conversation several times. Usually about trying a new vegan restaurant, or her family’s favorite vegan dish.

Next time she does that, I’m gonna tell her about the new BBQ joint or steakhouse just to see blue she reacts.

    Can’t Buy Me Love
CSB time. This movie was my first date. We were supposed to go to Busch Gardens for the day but it was raining so my Mom offered to drop us off at the theater.
It was the summer after my first year at a new middle school and she was the head cheerleader just like Cindy.
36 years later we are still friends and went to each others weddings.

Saw that at the old Northcross Mall theater my sophomore year at UT. As me and my girlfriend at the time were taking a left onto Anderson some completely shitfaced (it was like 4 in the afternoon in the middle of the week) fat chick in a Taurus blew through the light and t-boned us. We smacked heads, banged into the car in the opposite lane, was a fucking mess. Chick sprinted out of her car back toward Burnet immediately; girlfriend’s dad heard later from his insurance company that she’d already had like 4 DWIs…

Who was the last QB where on any given play you thought they could score a TD no matter where on the field?

Vince was like that. Tebow was like that due to that stacked Florida team. Manziel was like that due to scrambling and Mike Evans (no, I'm not saying he was one of the best). Cam was like that. Was Burrow? Actually Mayfield and OU put up so many points, I guess they were like that.

    Burrow definitely was in 2019…

I've been doing some research to track down missing data from the UT basketball media guide/official records and discovered this eight-game trip to El Paso from 1923-24.

I couldn't help but think of many of you "demanding a consistent level of play" when these were the results. A century later, and college kids are still college kids, and wins and losses can't be preordained by a coach's skill set. Seven wins in eight games away from home but you guys would have been bitching that ol' Doc Stewart isn't the guy to lead this program. I mean, how else can a team that beats someone 39-12 on Christmas Eve come back on the first day of Kwanzaa with a pathetic 15-point offensive output in a five-point loss???

    Dec. 24       at Aztec Club                                         W           39-12

    Dec. 25       at Sag Shea’s All-Stars                         W           32-19

Dec. 26       at Texas College of Mines (UTEP)     W           53-11

    Dec. 27       at Aztec Club                                         L             15-20

Dec. 28       at El Paso High School All-Stars        W           20-8

Dec. 29       at Colonia Dublan Mormons              W           35-15

Dec. 29       at Texas College of Mines (UTEP)     W           40-18

Dec. 31       at Colonia Dublan Mormons              W           45-15

I’m thinking whoever CDC’s peer was in 1923 fucked up by not snapping up the Aztec Club coach; look at that turnaround in only 3 days! You know that shit would have cost like $150…

I’d think Atlanta with Fields and having some pieces (decent OL, Bijan, Drake, Pitts) and getting rid of Arthur Smith would be solid.  Fields has shown a few flashes and is definite upgrade over whoever Atlanta played at QB last year

Yeah and if they were to pick up Odunze/Nabers at #8 that offense looks really solid. Most of my Dawg co-workers here in ATL are dying for them to cut Pitts loose and draft Bowers but I bet he goes to the Chargers…

Cam = 4327 total yards, 51 total TDs (1 receiving)

Vince = 4086 total yards, 38 total TDs

    Lol dude that’s ‘dwarfed’?

Our average margin of victory was 33.5 points that year; half of Auburn’s 14 games they didn’t hit 38 total. You think that spread in total TDs might not have had a bit to do with all but 3-4 of our games being over by halftime?

Uhh… did you not watch college football in 2010? Cam was fucking unstoppable. His stats that year are ridiculous and dwarf Vince’s best year. Vince had him (barely) beat only in passing yards.

You’re fucking hilarious man…please compare these stats and show us how one ‘dwarves’ the other…

6 or 11 would be the best opportunity for getting past the first weekend. That’s the one thing Penders truly understood. Avoid the 1 or 2 seed for as long as possible and hope someone else takes them out.

Hah are you claiming that Penders somehow guided the aircraft to those seeds strategically vs that just being our natural place in the rankings ? The best year we had under Penders we faced a #2 the second game of the tournament in front of 37K of their fans…

I would agree barring upsets happening around us.  Tech didn't have a big guy that could bully Disu. Even Shedrick kinda had his way.

you bully Disu(especially in the tourney where they let a lot more contact go) and smother Abmas or he has an off night which is about 60/40 and we don't have much else.

It is March though and....Kevin Garnett

RT is making the tourney which looked pretty sketchy after UCF. Good for him.

It’s a lot more difficult to bully a guy who can bring your ass 25 feet from the rim and shoot over you…

  14. Fucking Kurt Warner; what did your fucking college film look like, undrafted Arena League boy? Give Olympia Dukakis an extra thrust for me tonight, you fucking self-righteous jerkoff….
