Our bank just went off Windows XP less than two years ago after running the same software for over 15 years.  both my OCC and FDIC regulators told me we had to make the switch for security reasons as we embarked on some Fintech ventures and they didn't care what it cost us.  I guess I'm glad we did it.  Of course we're still running FiServe Precision as our core processor, which itself is run in Milwaukee on Windows XP.

People think bringing down our financial system happens through shitty loans or a bad week on Wall Street or crippling our electrical grid.  One well placed virus inside of FiServ and Jack Henry software systems and every bank transaction in this country is locked out, including every digital payment, credit card, debit card, auto-draft, settling of every public markets transaction to cash, even the inter-bank activity all the way up to the Federal Reserve system.  Those two companies handle the movement of a couple trillion dollars a day and while the Federal Reserve bank system is the most buttoned-up security system in the world...FiServ and Jack Henry can be broken into by a bored Chinese teenager  with an Apple Newton.

Lol, I work for FIserv and First Data prior to that; you have no idea how many times a day we get attacked. Not saying we’re impervious (nobody is) but if it were as simple as you claim shit would have happened a long, long time ago....

I don't see why anyone would go to an NFL stadium wearing the opposing teams' gear any more in this day and age:

What am I doing wrong in regards to embedding a tweet into the post?

As long as you don’t act like superfan who screams at the top of their lungs about every 6-yard game and/or engages every single person who throws a “<Your team> sucks” your way, you’ll be fine. I’ve been to probably 30 away games over the years and 7 in the last four wearing a Texans shirt (no jersey), and haven’t had shit happen. This includes Philly, Buffalo, and against each of the NY teams. Fucking Steelers fans are like going to a game in Lincoln as a visiting fan....

Wrong. Kick the PAT and we are up 8. They need to score a TD and one shot for a 2pt conversion. Odds are much better that we get at least a stop before they score a TD or blow up the 2pt conversion. You put the pressure to be perfect on THEM

You don’t have to be perfect to do that against this defense....

  4. aggy will likely pull it out, but Arkansas might give them a tougher game than in recent years. They played Georgia tough into the third quarter and their only other loss was close. They held a team that racked up 500+ yards on Alabama to 21 points today....

Ramonce Taylor.  Maybe I'm partial because I'm from Belton, but the couple times I saw him play in high school, I remember thinking I had never seen a high school kid move with the fluidity that he did.  He was fun to watch.  Glad he ended up at Texas, but I think he could have done a lot more here, maybe in the NFL, if he had his head on straight back then.

Ramonce as a freshman was more explosive than Jamaal Charles as freshman on the same team, and that’s no slight on Jamaal. RT could have had his number retired at UT if he’d kept his head screwed on...

Ced Benson, Shaud Williams and Bubba Franks. If you can't figure out from that list that I grew up in West Texas, not sure what to tell you.

Hah, Shaud Williams from Andrews. Back in my day Andrews had a QB named Keith Brooks who was the USA Today athlete of the year; guy was phenomenal. He went to SMU and ended up playing safety for the death penalty-enducing Ponies...

It's because of the tech game. The defense was absolute shit, we scored a zillion points, and we still barely won. After that, the defense has shown improvement. It's still not Muschamp 2008 or whatever, but it's moving in the right direction and is not our biggest problem. Nevertheless, the narrative was written after the tech game and it's taking time to fix. It doesn't help that we've lost two games such that everybody wants to burn the whole thing down.

We’ve given up 31 points and over 450 yards in regulation since the Tech game, and that includes a TCU offense that got throttled the next game. Saying the defense isn’t a problem or has ‘improved’ because we haven’t replicated the Lubbock debacle is a ‘narrative’....

It's "the OU game" when talking about our schedule. It's "Texas/OU" when talking about the weekend or the rivalry or speaking to any outsiders.

Not if said outsiders are college football fans; they’ll figure it out. And if they’re not college football fans don’t talk to them about college football, it’ll just be annoying...

For a small town Snyder at one point had a ton oF milfs. Is it still the same?

Dude I’m 53; every small town girl under 30 who hasn’t had 5 kids is hot these days.

But, fortunately, haven’t lived out there since literally the day after my high school graduation when I moved into Dobie for summer school....

  10. Tony DeGrate; he played at Snyder which was in our district, but (fortunately) was 4 years older than me. My cousin who was that age played on the O-Line against Tony annually from the time he was in 7th grade and got regularly beaten like a red headed rented step-mule. Watching him play against all of these 5’10” 170lb farm boys was like watching Bluto knock out people left and right in a Popeye cartoon...
