Yeah, exactly. I take it all with a grain of salt. He legitimately deserves it. He's shown since the Sugar Bowl he's gonna be a monster in the league. He oozes confidence and talent.
He’ll absolutely crush the combine and they’ll project him as a guy who can add 20 lean pounds easily....

If he stays healthy and leaves we will get a 3rd. If he was traded any pick would have been conditioned on him staying healthy.
That’s assuming he doesn’t tear an ACL brushing his teeth tonight, miss the rest of the regular season, and get a league-minimum FA contract that nets a 7th rounder...

I have another friend who is a “pro-life” Dem, both her and her husband.
She explained like this: She herself will never have an abortion, but they don’t’ believe the government should be telling women what to do with their bodies. Her and her husband are pro-life for their family. What other people do is their business, but the government shouldn’t be involved.
They are also pro BLM, pro LGBTQ, pro 2nd but want gun reform, and they are Catholic.
I’m originally friends with her, and she cusses and drinks like a sailor.
To quote Glen Puddy, “What do I care; you’re the one who’s going to Hell...”

Lulz yeah from personal experience if you’re a naturally ‘husky’ dude it’s way easier to pop 10 lbs on than it is to take them off...

My wife’s whole family are simple people of the land. Both in-laws grew up farming and ranching, so they are straight ticket team R. My MIL has been pretty brainwashed by Fox, etc because she sits around the house all day with nothing to do. My FIL has a ranch to run and doesn’t have time for any of that shit. He’s told me he doesn’t care for Trump and it’s the racism and “build the wall” stuff that’s turned him off. He’s spent his entire professional career in ag, as a rancher and county extension agent, and he knows how badly the ag industry relies on immigrant labor. He also knows tons of Mexican rancher types personally and enjoys their company. My hope with him is that he votes R in all the down ballot stuff and leaves President blank.
You just described both sides of my family tree. You and I differ on what we hope for as far as their voting, but it is an interesting dichotomy - people who are otherwise conservative but can’t get worked up about illegals because they’re not only a fundamental part of that economy for 100 years, but also (over time) like another extension of the family. My grandad’s head hand, Jesse, and his family had Thanksgiving dinner with us every year; he was a pallbearer at his funeral.

This is potentially good news...potentially. As long as they actually do apply the process to the GM as well and not just give it to Easterby. I’d love to see them pluck a young GM from Pittsburgh or Baltimore...two organizations I respect immensely.Yeah my fear is that they conduct this thorough search and end up hiring Easterby as GM and Josh McDaniels as coach. Similar to when the B12 interviews like 18 G5 teams for their alleged expansion and decided they were doing what they wanted to do all along....

Glad he found a landing spot; his bad luck to be drafted by a team with a young, talented and incredibly stable backfield situation for years to come. Simply no room for him on the Texans roster....

A lot of people ignore how bad Charlie's tenure was and act like Herman is more of the same. Herman needs to go because it's become apparent that his ceiling is not the ceiling that Texas strives for. Charlie needed to go because he somehow found a lower floor than any of us thought possible at Texas. Charlie had a God-damn losing record here. At Texas. Herman has given us a bunch of mediocre football but good God at least we have almost 2 wins for every loss under him.
Urban could come in and win 11 or 12 games next year with this roster and a decent recruiting class. Urban could not have come in and done that in 2017. Nor could he have come in and done that in 2014.
The biggest issue right now - by far - is our coaching. In the last years of Mack and under Charlie a huge auxiliary issue was that our rosters were head-scratchingly terrible and our recruiting was a mess. That isn't the case anymore.
Not to argue about which of these losers was the worse coach, but I dare say if Charlie Strong could have plugged Sam in at QB his entire time on the 40 his record would have approximated Tom's...

It's not like people are excited to play or coach for the 49ers because of Joe Montana. But hat kind of stuff does happen in College Football.
So...We're Texas and all of these badass recruits are beating our door down because we had a transcendent QB 15 years ago?
What fucking planet do you live on?

Lulz I drunkenly texted the LT comparison to like 10 different people last night.
I want Herman gone as much as the next guy and we totally didn’t deserve that win yesterday (although we 100% earned it if that makes sense), but goddamn it’s nice to see a DLineman wearing Burnt Orange tearing motherfuckers a new asshole on a consistent basis.
In summary - Joseph motherfucking Ossai....

This will kill you; give me one mulligan (AJ in 2003) and in the 1st round of each of the Texans’ first 6 drafts, instead of taking the dude they took, take the guy picked immediately after:
2002 - Julius Peppers over David Carr
2004 - Roethlisberger over Dunta Robinson (who was solid)
2005 - (original slot) Thomas Davis (3x Pro Bowler) over Travis Johnson.
2006 - I know, I know. Still:
Reggie Bush over Mario Williams ( call this one a push)
2007 - Patrick Willis over Amobi Okoye
if this draft happens, we never chase the endless parade of bullshit QBs. Assuming we still draft DeMeco Ryans where we did, we have the best LB corps in football and likely mKe the playoffs two years earlier. 2012 is a serious Super Bowl contender, etc, etc...

budget? will determine everything else (speakers most important besides tv)
Expensive: Klipsch THX in walls are great for home theater but run a grand a piece. You only really need to spend real money on the front three speakers (L/C/R). All of the Atmos and surround can be filled with cheap in wall speakers (monoprice 6.5in or 5.25 aprx $80 each). All of the speakers do not need to be the same brand, but most prefer the L/C/Rs to be timbre matched
Cheap: Monoprice, polk, and some better brands lower lines like Revel etc
https://www.klipsch.com/custom-install/in-wall/thx-cinema-series
7.2.4 is the basic standard on most new AVRs regardless of brand. Denon and Marantz are both nice. Look for a 9 channel set up or a 7 channel with pre-out capability to upgrade to 9 or 11 channels with external amp.
you can also find the non-THX version of the Klipsch on Amazon for about half price each.
Don't forget the subwoofer or 2.
You will get the most out of your budget and experience in order:
1. TV/Projector (if projector, screen just as important)
2. Speakers (tires on the Road)
3. Subwoofer (with no floor standing, will be a requirement and will make a huge home theater experience ie pressurize the room)
Thanks; great info. Given that I’m looking at around $3,200 for the projector and 1,700 for the receiver, I’d like to stay in the 2K range for speakers, though if there’s a noticeable bump up going somewhat higher I’d be OK. This excludes the subs as I already have two Hsu Research subs that I freaking love....

Right. Which is why the coach and players at Texas need to understand that you're getting every team's best shot every week. That is not true of Kansas.
Can we lose this “We’re Texas” shit as an excuse for why we’ve been mediocre for a decade? We’re not losing because we’re everyone’s Super Bowl, we’re losing because we can’t lead or develop players. Teams can get up for us as much as they do Kansas State and beat us.....

El Paso is getting rocked by covid right now. they've added nearly 3,000 cases in the last 2 days. They are nearly out of ICU beds in west Texas so its not a good place to be at this time.
If Margot Robbie sex slave clones with $100 bills stuffing their orifices (orifi?) were falling from the sky in a CV-free world, El Paso would still be not a good place to be at this time.
Like the opposite of the old Most Interesting Man In The World radio commercials - whatever side of the tracks he’s on....that the right side of the tracks.

Interim head coach Romeo Crennel wants to keep his Houston Texans roster together past the Nov. 3 trade deadline despite rumors swirling that the team could be sellers.
"Like I told the players, I'm trying to win games, and I'm not trying to trade players," Crennel said, according to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports. "So, I want to keep as many good players as I can."
SMDH
Every coaching stain from BoB era needs to go, ASAP.
The Seahawks need a pass rusher. Trade JJ before he gets hurt.Thankfully, this innovative organization is thinking way outside the box by actually separating the functions of building a roster vs coaching a roster.
i don’t really expect Romeo to say anything else, and it’s not like he has the authority to make or even seek trades; he knows he’s done forever as a head coach after this season anyway...

Liability for this on a debit card is capped at $50 if you dispute within two days, $500 within 60 days, and uncapped after that. Unless your bank really likes you they're probably going to wash their hands of it by "advising" that you work through the merchant (who you can't reach) to work this out.
tl;dr - don't use a debit card for anything but getting cash out of an ATM...

You can pop an RCA connector on that coax to connect to your sub if the other end of it is in a good area.
Anyine have recs on in-wall/ceiling speakers? Looking to set up a 7.1.4 Atmos setup in a house we’re building and for various reasons (mainly wife related) wold prefer those to free standing. These would be almost 100% for TV viewing (sports, movies); any music being played over them wouldn’t impact the buying decision, and no gamers in the house. I’m looking at an Epson 5050 projector and whichever model of Denon receiver it is that handles 7.1.4 natively...

Yeah plus he’s got to sign a good-sized contract for his position and play a certain percentage of snaps in 2021. If he has a play great in 9 games/miss 7 other games Will Fuller season it’s probably a 5th rounder. Banking on that 3rd rounder is a big risk for a guy with his history; don’t know if it got offered, but I would have taken a third rounder this year. Bird in the hand...
