SMU? They may still hold a grudge from their death penalty days. They were selling THE LIES OF TEXAS ARE UPON US T-shirts and bumpers stickers even after the NCAA reported that they gathered incriminating evidence from almost 20 schools.

    Porsches, Polos, Ponies, and Probation….

I heard the “seat donation” on one in the last couple years was 100k a year with a 10yr commit. + the cost fo the tickets (and catering) I assume

That’s the catch - on its face it’s dirt cheap but the catering is where they get you….

Let's say #3 UGA loses the CCG and is (12-1). And let's say #15 KSU is 9-3 and wins the Big 12, gets a first round bye, and plays UGA in round two. KSU then defeats UGA.

I suspect UGA will complain that KSU had an undeserved advantage because of the bye. They'll argue it was undeserved because KSU is lower ranked.

Substitute any BIG/SEC team and any XII/ACC team. I suspect it'll happen within the first few years.

To NeverMarry’s point above, in this scenario Georgia would have had a week off after the B12 title game, so the argument is ‘they got 2 weeks off and we only got 1’. I don’t think they get much sympathy, plus if you want the bye, win the fucking CCG…

Related:  5AM flight this morning.  2 different random pairs who just met on the plane, just yammering on about nothing important for 45min/ hour.

Small talk is a waste of time.  Hearing others do it is even more painful.   Shut your pie hole and stop droning on for crisake.

    Fucking this….

OK, i am going to probably come off as a penny pinching rube here, but I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years and have never made a donation - just payed the base price on the invoice. Been in the same 4 seats for about 10 years and happy.

Section 102 between rows 18-40, so in Tier 3.

is that somehow different this year? Now to get my same seats, i need to pay $385 and $150 per seat to keep my seat location? If i dont pay the additional $150, i get pushed to Tier 4?

i find the whole seat donation thing intentionally vague.

Nothing vague about it; they’re going to make you start paying a donation to keep your seats or they’re going to downgrade them.

Thank you for using Tex - goodbye, and good luck!

At least it wasn't an Oiler's-level choke job.

That was among the worst of the Moon era playoff teams. The KC loss and the Denver loss were far worse. At the time of the KC loss we were the best team in the NFL…

No, Mack was pissed because the fucking Big 12 refs starting tossing 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalties on good Roy Williams and others when they were giving the horn fans sections in the away game endzone a hook 'em after scoring a TD.  and the moron refs starting calling that a taunting penalty.

In what game did one of our players throwing Horns to the crowd result in a taunting penalty? I don’t remember that ever happening.

    I’m 57, BTW…

PFF has a contract projection of 2/22/15 for Barkley; I would absolutely do that, as it’s essentially a 1-year commitment with a Year 2 cap savings of $4MM if things go south. If he’s healthy he’s a true #1 RB, and he’s always been known as a leader and great locker room guy….

You might be right, but which of the 5 CBs I have in the 1st round would you take him over?  He's definitely got speed, but he played at Toledo, so the NFL will be a huge jump.  I trust big-time production in big-time leagues over group of 5 potential.  But to your point, history has shown teams will overvalue workout wonders.

I think zone-heavy teams will value him more, especially ones with a solid CB in place already on the other side. I’d love for Houston to grab him at 23…

I'll throw my Mock 2.0 in here for y'all to pick apart...note there are several projected trades.  Mostly by the Bears trading back to accumulate picks.  I have the Steelers trading the No. 22 pick for Justin Fields.  I also think Denver could trade up to get Bo Nix.  I'm not a huge Nix fan, but he seems like a perfect fit for Sean Payton's system.

I also have Carolina trading back into the 1st round to pick a CB, and the Bears using some of their draft stockpile to take the Panthers' pick to take JJ McCarthy.

    I see the 1st being WR heavy since it's a QB/WR league.

The reason Drake Maye is #1 is because I think he's a better fit for Atlanta's new OC.

No way Quinton Mitchell from Toledo lasts until the 2nd round, especially after the numbers he’s going to put up at the combine…

opponents grabbing 32% of their missed shots has been very hard to watch as well.

Remove the two UofH games and that probably drops into the low 20s…they’ve destroyed us on the offensive glass

Let’s get our taxonomy of the various peoples indigenous to SEC Country straight.

Hillbillies are known as such because they live in the hills, mountains, and hollers of Appalachia or the Ozarks. These are primarily the fans of Tennessee and Kentucky, as well as some portions of the Arkansas and Missouri nations.

Rednecks got their name from working in the fields of the coastal plains or Deep South, where the backs of their necks would become sunburned. These are your South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama/Auburn, and Mississippi school fans.

Crackers are mostly located in Florida, and are a vanishing breed with all the in-migration to the state since the advent of air conditioning, but still can be seen in Gainesville on game days in their jort-wearing  glory.

LSU fans are traditionally known as “coon-asses,” or more recently “corn-dogs” due to their pervasive odor.

Solid recap, but living in Atlanta I think UGa’s fan base leans more crackuh than redneck…

Hey, don't knock band nerd girls. Not only knew some absolute knockouts from the band, but the lower on the scale the instrument is, the better she is at kissing. If you ever get to swap tongues with a bass trombone or tuba player, you'll spend the rest of your life chasing that.

    One time at band camp….

once they show they don't let the loss column rule all (save the freak FSU QB Injury situation this year) it will have changed.

Seems like that happened this year with only a 4-team playoff. Without our win over Bama we don’t get in, definitely not over Georgia and probably not even over FSU…

I doubt we get a home and home with a blue blood any time soon after 2027 though.

If that ends up being the case and if the SEC goes with the 8-team bullshit, I’d prefer:

    Open with Rice at DKR

1-and-done with mid-level P4 team (UVA, Illinois, Stanford, etc) at DKR

dogshit directional Louisiana or likewise team at DKR the week before aggy. I see no reason not to do whatever every other team in the SEC does, plus it pushes one of these type of games from the September broiler to November

2 for 1 with an FBS school that may suck but is a good travel destination, kind of like we did with Tulane or UCF. UNLV, South Florida, Colorado State in Denver, Army, Boston College, etc

How about no neutral site games because we have the best one ever so let's just play in DKR or their stadium?

I’m good opening a season in Dublin against Notre Dame…

  17. I think Madubuike next to Anderson would be worth 30 sacks/year between them alone. PFF forecasts that the amount is would take to resign Rankins and Schultz would be enough for JM; I’d do that in a heartbeat, don’t GAF that he’s aggy…

Why is there no game until Saturday this week?

Everyone gets one mid-week bye once conference play starts. That’s why some teams have played 11 conference games vs 10 so far…
