We were in Belize and my wife injured her ankle to the point where we thought it was broken.

Our driver took us to the clinic and I took care of the check-in.  Of course, our health insurance was useless and they told me they don't take credit cards.  I was worried about the cost but the person at sign in told me it wouldn't be expensive compared to our US prices.

Doctor, x-rays, ace bandage (just a bad sprain), crutches and a prescription.  $98 and change.  That is how bloated the health care costs are in the US.

When my kids were born overseas, I paid the hospital bill each time via one trip to the ATM machine downstairs - I think the more expensive delivery was about $350.  And this was in one of those swanky Bangkok hospitals the UAE / Qatar dudes use for medical tourism.

"Susie who? I never knew her. She might have taken my coat once or maybe brought me a Diet Coke when I pushed the button on my desk. Anyway she's useless. A horrible person. Bad judgment. Nobody I asked seems to remember her but they didn't like her. And frankly she was ugly. Next question. "

You left out 'nasty'.  Anytime a woman gets cross threaded with the dotard, she is 'nasty'.

I’m not paying $20-$30 shipping for my wife’s ford brongo cargo liner Christmas gift when I can drive 10 min down the road from work to pick it up for free.

You’re not getting laid on Christmas.

If I do, it's because I don't trust my subjective interpretation of what he said.  I'm biased against him, even if I/we may be right.

If what he actually said was horrible, I like to point that out.

Even at this stage of things, there's a fair amount of misquoting and taking things out of context, especially on social media.

    You're doing it again.

    Stop it.

I rarely call my wife. Always text her, so in the rare event that I call she gets her hopes up for a few seconds.

Anytime the overall internet is slower than usual or clunky as hell, I think "Well, maybe today's the day."

Summer Creek is also in that same district (23-6A) with North Shore and CE King. That district and 11-6A (the DeSoto-Duncanville district) are the two best districts in the state by a wide wide margin.

Atascocita is in 23-6A as well.  They stacked.

Does CE King stand any chance against DeSoto? Never heard of this school. I see they are in the same district as North Shore, so both 6A State games are between 2 districts.

Can't remember who DeSoto played 2 years ago in state but it was over after the 1st qtr. Not sure if this game will go the same way.

King's head coach spent 10 years at North Shore as their offensive line / strength and conditioning coach.  He was promoted to head coach at CE King back in January.

As mentioned upthread, these dudes are fast, fast, fast.  The DCTF guys say this will be one of those rare instances where Desoto won't be the fastest team on the field.  Both teams can give up some points but I don't think either will run away from the other.

I think that picture was taken from closer to the field than my seats.  We were third from the top row of the end zone upper deck.  Strange thing is, you could see everything great but it was damn quiet way up there.  Ice is right, you got to take this in if ever given the opportunity.  The march in is awesome.

    Congrats Navy.

Monkin got skeered again, for the 58th time this season.

Frustrating game, they kept trying to give us the game, but we refused to take it.  I figured when we settled for three FGs it wasn’t going to work out.  Oh well, had a good time would do it again.

Given how the NFL has cracked down on things like the Houston Cougars powder blues, I would think they defend their marks pretty hard and any group would have a hard time proving anything about the mark being abandon.

I got a ‘Houston’ powder blue shirt. The NFL can go fuck itself.
