  1. Fusca has been throwing up pretty much every meal for the last week. Took her to the vet for blood tests and x-rays. $700 later and not much answers. She is acting pretty normal otherwise. Might be an obstruction. We just spent $5k on her ligament surgery. Bought her for $20 from the pound. I guess that’s how it goes. But I don’t regret it. She is an incredible companion.

I had an issue with my lab after we took away his manhood. He threw up every meal for a couple days before I took him back to the vet. Similar situation where they didn’t find anything concrete. Little research when I got home and found that it’s common for their esophageal sphincter to relax when put under for surgery, so stomach acids are able to come back up and cause vomiting after eating. We put him on a low fat soft food diet and gave sulcrafate tablets 3x daily and he was back to normal in a few days.
  2. Y’all help me understand something I should know the answer to - if a company has WTI hedges and a Mid-Cush basis swap of +1, but they have physical difficulty getting their volumes out of the Permian, what do they do?

On one hand this is a basic question but on the other it’s multi-faceted. In this particular instance, they have 4 wells recently (mostly) drilled and a completion decision will come later in May when prices become more apparent. It’d make a lot of sense in a vacuum to NOT complete these wells, as curtailment could cause shut-ins and as you can guess these are large hz wells where you can’t predict how they’ll come back on when they do. However, in this instance they have a very high NRI and these wells are economic at a much lower price than anyone would think.

From an operations standpoint there are a lot of things to consider in deciding whether or not you want to go ahead with completing and bringing the well online.

What is the initial form of artificial lift? Are they tailing resin during the frac job or do they anticipate a good amount of sand with the initial production?

  3. He’s about as worthless as tits on a boar hog.

Colder than a witches tit out here.

Shines like a diamond in a goats ass.

Poor girl would make a train take a dirt road.

My wife and I both come from the sticks, and our fathers are full of these sayings. We were just laughing about it last night at dinner.

  4. I was passing through Huntsville and saw the HEB there had a HEB BBQ joint attached to hit.  Has anyone else seen this concept yet?  No clue on the quality, but could be useful as a sandwich option for lunches.

The Midland HEB has some pretty great bbq. I assume the concept is the same, give it a go.
