It looks stunning.
My #1 love is boats, and you can bet every screw head (thru bolts) are all clocked the same. Just an OCD habit of mine. Same with the switch covers in my house. OCD brainworms on my end.
Haha, you made me look...totally get it flattie.

That’s gorgeous but the screws are giving my OCD fits. How did you find that particular smith? I assume he is known for his work with those?
Followed his build of a similar lever on a hunting site I frequent. He's not famous, yet. Just a guy with skills and good tools. One of the screws is the punch safety delete. Looks better to me and I use the hammer de-cock for safety. Holler should you ever want his contact info....great guy to deal with and fair.

Sent the 1895 45-70 Big Loop to a smith in Nevada for some work. Removed checkering and slimmed the wrist and fore end & darkened the laminate stain. Polished the internals, took the edges off the loop, removed the front sight and machined a brake, lightened the trigger pull., and bead blasted the metal.

Yes, ke this:
This guitar has really grown on me over time, even though it has a little wider neck than some of my other Gibsons. I just can't play it out because my wife/kid got it for me brand new and I don't want to ding it up. I also can't seem to find a used one cheap. My only gripe about it is the vibrola. I love all that chrome, but man does the vibrola suck. The guitar stays in tune so long as you don't touch that thing, then all of a sudden you've got some sort of Thurston Moore/Sonic Youth alt tuning vibe going quite unintentionally.
Beautiful....

@noharleyyet, I (like most) had always thought Sturgill had a real Waylon vibe to his vocals, but in that live take I hear more Danny Joe Brown (Molly Hatchet).
I only hear Sturgil....like most I heard Waylon out of the box but realized he's so much more. Have watched that video 3 times for the guitar work...my gawd what a front man....that vibrato, wow.

I love the Tele headstock, femininity and all....& I don't hate PRS aesthetics.
I so dislike Mayer's monologues and guitar face...but that sunza can play.

$1799. Still hating I didn't grab one of the last run about 15 years ago. Got them to throw in a setup and oil the fretboard.
Rep said they have the shipment tracking to the warehouse tomorrow and will ship after he contacts with the weights. Told him I don't want a boat anchor.
Good price range for a heavy relic'd...paint 3 of the guard screws rusty black

We drove to Taos for a stag ski weekend bash in a dolled up Good Times Chevy van. Started hitting the Crown and Coca Cola (important distinction) a little too early and snagged the ground effects on the railroad 'peak' in Clayton, NM.
. . . kept rolling. That thing was awesome.

Do any of y'all have an outdoor chair with no arms that is good for guitar playing on the porch? I've been thinking that's something that might get me to play more on mornings and evenings. But all my chairs have hard arms that get in the way. Need something that would withstand weather.
Lag bolt or wedge anchor this bad boy down...weatherproof and sturdy. Your neighbors will love it.
