  1. Maybe this is deserving of its own thread, but is there a way to analyze the acumen of the quarterback commits/recruits for schools that run the triple? Obviously the services are going to look at QBs committed to GT or an academy and see their game is deficient in passing ability, but proficient in the ability to run an offense that nobody else does.

It's a very niche prospect for fewer than ten schools. Is there a way a big school, maybe not Texas but P5, could look to recruit QBs who run the triple and put them into the offense somewhere other than QB? Or are they usually just classified as "athletes" and are some other schools actually picking them up to play other positions and I'm just not looking hard enough? I guess Keenan Reynolds is an example of this translating from the college-to-pro ranks, but he seems like he was transcendent as far as triple QBs go.

this is hilarious. "this thread is obviously where nuance goes to die." says the guy chastising everyone who wants to actually go deeper than "but did we win the game?!?!?!" and actually critique the qb with any modicum of honesty. this is the thread where objectivity and the freedom to speak honestly about our ab goes to die.

You must not have finished reading after die because the last three pages have been you saying “HE’S NOT COLT.”

  3. Anderson/Cosmi this year is a lot better than the disaster Okafor/Nickelson was for most of last year, though Nickelson has certainly endeered himself some to the fanbase with his post-career demeanor.

Anderson also probably lets Okafor redshirt, which yay! An overall improvement.

  4. The fragility of this fanbase.

2018 Texas got its first win one entire month earlier than 2017 Texas.  They won in Manhattan and beat TCU.

Sam Ehlinger is better and functioning within the role the coaches and offense asks him to do, but a lot is left to be desired. That’s okay. It is not bad. It is not great.

The question becomes if a coach and true sophomore can improve over the course of that players career, and within the scope of the 2018 season with a huge rivalry game ahead. There’s a good amount of time considering the QB just recently cracked double digit appearances at Texas that progress to the former can benefit the latter

This thread is obviously where nuance goes to die, and where memories of elite years past come home to roost in the fixtures of the now.

I absolutely love how our big dumb lovable legendary cow’s cow brain thinks he’s about to ram into something when he’s just running through vapor. It warms my human heart

Perrin was loyal to the brand, as I recall he saw more upside with the UT brand tied to Nike, than in revenue tied in stock with Under Armour...

Understandable. I’m not one of the people who constantly looks for something to be #madonline about regarding Longhorn sports like everyone who complains about Burnt orange.

  7. I prefer Nike for a multitude of reasons, but I feel like if we had gone with Under Armour we would have uniforms that everyone would like. I’m basing that solely off the fact they fixed UCLA’s, didn’t screw up Wisconsin, does well with Auburn, and aside from the once a year alternate the school approves, has done well with ND.

Oh well. We’ve seen Nike can make the good stuff like from the 2015 KU game. Maybe again. I know Tom likes having “TEXAS” across the chest and has said as much.
