  1. In Corpus Christi the highway has one of those electronic billboards from TXDOT that says something like “don’t speed…sooner is not better in Texas”. I wonder if there’s a double meaning there.

I hate him for both and because he’s such a butthurt bitch that he continues to mention Mack Brown to this day. He’s the least likable good QB. Cam Newton is more likable. But you seem like you’re here to defend him. So what do you have to say?

I’m not defending him. I had no idea that so many people hated him. Is he liked by his teammates?

read this.  one of the greatest posts in the history of Longhorn message boards.  i'm glad hornfans still has it archived.  you'll see some familiar posters in there.

So in 2004 there was a vote for something, and Mack Brown whined about it, and I’m guessing that Texas got the nod, and Aaron Rodgers bitched about it, and Texas fans have been hating on him since then? Is that it?

Seems like the anti-vaxx crowd's favorite hangout---Cracker Barrel was 5+ years ahead of its time:

Serving potable bleach to customers in order to prep their bodies to defeat Covid-19, in lieu of a vaccine.  Sure they got sued and now have to pay out a nearly 8-figure settlement...but isn't that a small price to pay for owning science, the other team, and being just in general---the best place to eat if you're a total fucking moronic piece of shit?

    Wrong thread, asshole.

I mean I don't think it's CR , actually the complete opposite. I'm here for the sport, not the jingoism.

Same here. I do not appreciate the national anthems in sports.

The most obvious and probably correct answer is that bitcoin/crypto is stealing some or all of gold’s value as an inflation hedge. Doesn’t mean it won’t have its day, but I’m not sure how else to interpret the highest inflation in 40 years and gold being flat/down over the last year. I’d like to hear other potential explanations though. For sure gold price is easier to keep down due to all the paper markets out there.

    Couple of thoughts:

    1) there’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for why gold is NOT a good inflation hedge. I don’t know it, but I know it’s out there. It has to do with bullion banking and paper gold.

    2) ask yourself this: what’s underground in Ft. Knox laying very still until the day that it’s needed: cryptocurrencies, or cold, hard gold?
