Not sure why that made me laugh so much.

Seriously.  I really liked this show after the first episode, but LOVED it after the second.   This was the thing that put it over the top for me.

And yeah, Henry Winkler is killing it as the drama teacher.  "You're all paying for today" was so great.

The tone of this show is really interesting.... it's definitely like a dark comedy, but then it's also a bit of a drama.  The teeth filing scene was a perfect example.... the violence was actully scary and real, but then Stephen Root spitting out white pasty reminents of his teeth made me LOL.

Hadn't heard of Charlie Crockett before we got our tickets for Red Rocks.  Sometimes he sounds like he's got a mouthful of marbles but I'm really starting to like his songs.

I've seen him open for the Troubadours at least 2-3 times in the past couple of years. I like to watch him perform but don't really get into his music otherwise.

  3. Stop Making Sense is the gold standard, IMO.

I also love Wilco's "Ashes of American Flags" because the opening portion was at Cain's, and I was present for my first Wilco show ever.  And the opening credits sound check version of "Ashes of American Flags" inter-cutting between them playing in an empty Cain's and the bus driving toward Tulsa is fantastic:

This guy has been pretty good in everything i've seen him in. Should have let him do his thing and not try to clone him into Harrison Ford. I mean there is only one HF.

Yep.  That's pretty much what I said when this film was announced.

It's a terrible idea to try and ask another actor to try and replicate one of the top 10 iconic movie characters of all time.  You're just asking to get your ass kicked trying to pull something like that.

There's plenty of fantastic original Star Wars stories they can tell without having to resort to telling origin stories of one of the iconic characters.  Just stick to stuff like Rogue One or tell Clone Wars stories or something like Rebels.   Build compelling characters and compelling stories and people will love them.

And speaking of Solo -- it's crazy that the movie is like 6 weeks from release and there still is no full trailer, only the teaser trailer.  That can't be a good sign.

Hopefully no more Bedlam games off-campus with those capacity numbers.

Well, selfishly, I hope they do keep playing at least the games in Tulsa.  We regularly pack 9,000+ for the Bedlam baseball games and it's a great atmosphere.

If Holliday isn't the guy, OkSt is going to be one of the better jobs in the country when this opens.

Considering he already got us to the CWS with complete shit facilities, I think he's already proven his worth. :)

  6. Yeah I'm having a hard time understanding the center field glass/overhang thing.  Here's a video that has a lot of "fly through" shots of the renderings... the center field overhang things looks more or less obtrusive, depending on the rendering.

One of the things that Josh Holliday said in the presser yesterday was that the dimensions of the park have been specifically designed so that the park plays like TD Ameritrade in Omaha... I suppose that means it will be a pretty big park and certainly won't be the launching pad that Allie P. is.  Also maybe that means it would take like a 470-foot bomb to hit that overhang in center.

Overall I couldn't be more excited. This thing will be among the best 5-10 college baseball facilities in the country. Can't wait to see it in two years.

Yea, whoa. The draw ups / plans look real state of the art. Looks like a fun road trip for 2021

It's about 15-20 years overdue.  Allie P. Reynolds was considered one of the best (if not the best) college baseball stadium when it first opened.

It's looking like this new stadium is going to be pretty sweet.  We'll see at the announcement today, but my little birdies are telling me it's going to have roughly 3,200 permanent seats plus suites.  The concourse will run all the way around like ONEOK Field in Tulsa and it will have tiered outfield berm seating that, in addition to standing room "party decks" on the concourse, would boost capacity to upwards of 6,000 for big games/regionals/super regionals.
