  1. If it makes it go down any easier, I think the only way you get your party back is if Trump loses.
  2. That, and an assassin or meteor would really dampen my celebration of his death. I am looking forward to that day and I don't want anything to mitigate that joy.
  3. Total guess on my part: With Harris running as a moderate and Trump running as a nutcase, I think the Dems will pick up seats. In purple districts (which are the only ones we care about), the Republican candidate has to walk a tighter line on supporting Trump's policies than the Democratic candidate does on supporting Harris policies. Heaven help the Republican candidate who does fully support Trump or his policies. They are one tweet away from campaign implosion.
  4. Well, a grand wizard, but it’s just an honorary title.
  5. Pretty good article on Latino immigrants in small town Nebraska, which I imagine has parallels to Haitian immigrants in small town Ohio.
  6. Any time she rallies in a town, she makes the local news. Usually it will come with a view of the crowd, maybe a shot of long lines going into the venue, and maybe a brief clip of her saying something interesting/inspirational. She also gets a headshot in the local paper. It also drives discussion about her on social media for the residents. There is a lot of earned media with every rally. Also, something the campaign is making a point of is contrasting her schedule with Trump's schedule. She is demonstrating that she is younger and has more energy. If Trump tries to match her schedule, he will get even more unstable. I think interviews with media outlets that have paywalls (NYT, WSJ, WaPo) are practically worthless. If anyone is paying for those services, they already know who they are voting for. Interviews on CNN, NBC, etc. will reach more people, but still have limited value for similar reasons I like that she gave an interview to a local station in Pennsylvania. I think local news is less associated with national politics, and therefore can reach a wider cross-section of a particular city/region. I would like to see more of that. I don't know much about the podcast stuff. I am old.
  7. While you may be correct, in comparing the statements, it is amazing how much more professional and diplomatic the 34 year old pop star is than the 78 year old former president.
  8. With the vast menagerie of weirdos over the last 8 years, I had completely forgotten a Milo existed. I take it it's this Milo (from Wikipedia).
  9. I've never listened to Rogan, but to me it is seems like his problem is being too accommodating to his guests, many of whom are dangerous nutballs. Is he shitty to people he doesn't agree with? If not, it seems like a pretty low risk interview. But, I don't know if you get backlash from giving Rogan more legitimacy?
  10. I've watched that like 5 times now. It just keeps getting funnier.
  11. The Loomer thing is definitely entertaining. I’m a little torn on whether to be happy about it. In the short term, I think she is more damaging than Trumps debate. She is directly attacking Republicans, and viciously so. Openly calling MTG’s infidelity and Ladybug’s sexuality - that is not just politics. And it’s not good politics. For the last 8 years I’ve believed that Trumpism only ends when the Republicans have a civil war and the adults win. She is definitely starting that war. But, in the long term, she may be the most likely heir to the Trump throne. Everything that was perceived about Trump 8 years ago applies to her. He was too racist, too stupid, too bombastic with other Republicans. She pushes the bar even lower.
  12. So, I was watching Livenow from Fox....Trump was wandering the "spin room" trying to salvage his performance. They couldn't get decent audio or video on him because it's basically just a crowd. Then they cut over to Harris, who was on a stage, with a microphone, talking to her supporters and giving in a mini-rally. It was a fitting contrast.
  13. Scary black immigrants (Haitians) eat cats. JD Vance has given speeches on it. Trump thought it was something he could attack Harris on. Goes without saying, it is a racist lie. This is America in 2024.
  14. And during the immigration question. Instead of hammering his winning point, he went on a tangent.
  15. Right? And, during the primaries, a goal is to avoid alienating the supporters of candidates that are likely to drop out.
  16. Come on man, he’s already survived one assassination attempt.
  17. I'm sure she has a bunch of dick picks to use as leverage. For example:
  18. The name I am waiting to resurface is John Solomon. He keeps turning up like a bad penny. After being a big part of Rudy's attempt to get Ukraine to smear Biden with the Burisma deal, he and The Hill went their separate ways and Solomon started his own media company/podcast. He was also involved in Trump's confidential documents case, serving as one of Trump's representatives with the National Archive. He just seems to live in that Venn diagram of Trump/Russia/media and I imagine his income has decrease considerably over the last ten years.
  19. And for those who don't remember the signs from their Milwaukee store, a few blocks from the RNC: ...then when Harris spoke at the same venue during DNC:
  20. Nice. Penzeys has been in the battle for a while. They certainly lose some customers by their open fuck-MAGA stance. Good to see Kamala give them some love. And that clip is going to be all over left wing/activist social media because Penzeys is a great follow.
