  1. Not me but the wife signed up for Co-Ed softball at work and was playing 1st base when the first batter on the first pitch of the first game of the season hit a scorching one bouncer that glanced off the top of her glove and right smack in her face near her eye.  I got some dirty looks in the ER waiting room from folks thinking I hit her. Poor guy felt horrible, don’t think he played anymore that season.

I’ll try to be more gentle next time.

Pretty much a blubbering wuss to just about anything these days, getting older sucks.  Movie wise, the Home video at the end of Philadelphia gets me along with the Neil Young tune.

Anyone watching this rockets / lakers game? Lakers have a guy named Ingram playing on a 10 day contract. He's 32 years old and its his first career, NBA game. Played over 380 games in development and minor leagues. Dude drilled his first three pointer. Good for him.

Watched a bit of it last night, great story and loved the Bench’s reaction when he scored.

  4. UA fans were one of the reasons I was excited for their inclusion to the SEC, folks said they were great during the ‘78 FF.  Hogs made the FF in ‘78 and damn near again in ‘79 had it not been for some scrub from Indiana St.

Fuck that, it was great, especially in the early 80s!

Phi Slamma Jamma at Houston.  Joe Kleine, Alvin Robertson, and Darrell Walker at Arky.  SMU had some really good years.  Bubba Jennings and Sean Gay at Tech could beat you by themselves.  The Dennis Nutt Horned Frogs were tough.

Best of all, you had Frank Fallon and Rudy Davalos calling the Raycom Game of the Week.

The Hogs had the Triplets late 70s, SMU with Jon Koncak, Aggies with Britton and Smith, Abe wanting to rip Eddie’s Sunday clothes

San Marcos is damn near an extended suburb of Austin now. Thd build out in Buda and Kyle is huge. Heck going north the development extends PAST Georgetown and Liberty Hill not long before it is in Jarrel which already is in varying stages of development.

That whole I-35 corridor blends in together but I’ve always liked SM, it’s certainly changed from when I worked down there in the mid 80s.
