Oh and by the way, go ahead and put yourself through an entire week of benzo withdrawals and then see if you still have it in you to talk shit about anyone who decides to continue using as opposed to the alternative. A lot of times nowadays you can't even get into a program without first being hospitalized for withdrawals.
Benzos are what I had to deal with. Not me, but my wife. The funny thing is, that at first, they really helped her. Problem is they were her monster, and by the time she realized it, she was physically addicted. Once that happens, the doctors want nothing else to do with you. They prescribed it but they don't help when you can't stop taking it. It took three attempts, each terrible, for her to finally get clear of them. There really isn't help. The "make the call" bullshit you see on TV commercials is just a grab for the 30 days most insurance will cover for a "program." Worthless, and unavailable to the uninsured. The community based places want you to go in-patient, but have no room for months. They also expect complete buy in to their 12 step thing, which is great for many people, but not everyone. All I'm saying is until you see how it slowly stops becoming a choice and instead becomes something the person has to do just to avoid the agony of with drawl, you really shouldn't preach. It is very humbling to see a strong person go through the process. I'm sorry for anyone who is in any stage of it.

Is that how you lost a leg?
Nope. Got drunk and a bus ran over me. No, that was the chicken. It was a turtle.

The addicted are not "partying" anymore at that stage. They're just trying to keep the monster at bay. Maybe they got that way partying or maybe they got that way being prescribed addictive drugs. Doesn't matter. The overdose is accidental because the substance is unregulated and there's no way to gauge potency. Be careful preaching about addiction. Sometimes people haven't encountered the substance that will turn into their monster. Get into a bad accident or have a major surgery and you may discover your monster.

Two stupid base running brain farts. Brantley could be at the plate with a runner on second. WTF? Stretching for 3rd with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th?

I hope that's JFF's office and when he opens those blinds, he looks at a Wendy's across a hot, asphalt, parking lot, in Euless. And I can only hope that they make him wear that organ grinder's monkey suit, every fucking day.

He's a lot closer to being a Jose Altuve than a Drew Brees. Several inches closer.

Doesn't look like Sophomore film, especially the blocking. Kid is a monster.

I've always wondered when teams are looking at a player like Springer and trying to make business decisions, how do they evaluate the popularity with the fans, the effect a trade would have on the club house, and just karma generally. It's not a number they can feed into the computer, but a trade that makes sense mathematically could potentially do a lot of harm. I guess that's the art of it as opposed to the science?

Not meaning any disrespect to Brantley, because he's pretty pony-like, too.

Getting Verlander when we did was like a little girl getting a pony for her birthday. We want another pony. How are the Stros going to follow up that monster pony they went out and got us?

The live mascots are in great peril.

Bregman has a gf / steady side piece
Per friend’s that have seen them at a very out of the way place, multiple times
Does that mean 1 woman handling both roles, or 2 women?

So college football is turning into the NBA? Neat. If only there was some governing body that could create, and enforce, a set of rules pertaining to recruiting players and their commitments, that could be uniformly applied. I understand that Kliffy burned the kid, but this is going to get out of hand.

If i'm ever going to need a pinch runner, I'm thinking Kemp. He's also more versatile and cheaper on uniforms and snacks.

I’m sure Herbie, as trusted QB, captain, and senior-year MVP heard not a whisper about this during his years there.
Its hard to hear anything when your face down on the examining table and doc is checking for deep hemorrhoids.

My response, Joe Fucking Buck. Joy.

Amazing. When the season started, I thought we had some scrappy, hard playing kids that would out work some of the more talented competition, and over achieve. WTF happened? It makes last season seem all the more unlikely. Wow. Just, wow.

Wrestling just isn't that popular in Texas, and you know, I'm alright with that. And, if I'm a big, strapping wrestler, and doc wants to give me a hand job, I'm gonna fuck doc up, and not the way he wants me to. The whole thing is just too creepy weird.

Erxleben waited until he was out of the NFL, didn't he?

The last game of the series it sounded like the microphone around the plate was turned down or moved. I could see DDA mouthing his absurdity and hear it faintly, but it wasn't drowning out everything else like it did the first two games. I also didn't hear the catchers mitts popping like usual. Anyone else notice it?

So you're saying he's already had his share of bad luck.

A man with that kind of money picks Pampa for his palace? I don't get it. Flat, hot and cold. Lots of rattlesnakes. Guess he couldn't afford White Deer.
