Let's go ahead and bump this up to 8 AM mkay?
Can’t find CTJ original post but you would think they would have already told Ewers about this NIL news? -
I live 2 hours from Lubbock. I will take shaggy bevo to the airport if I need too.
Lubbock is a shithole. How does Columbus compare? -

Banks please-

Damn. Lol. -
I agree with this, unless OU allows Venables/Lebby to use the bag game that Clemson/Ole Miss have employed.
No way OU'd ever take Kiffin. I'm actually surprised Lebby is accepted.
OU is like us with the bag game right? Don’t see how they wouldn’t let Riley and all of a sudden Venables. -
Yeah I feel like if there is the much smoke with tech, they’re not just using it for leverage.
-
I understand Tech isn't UTRGV, but we are the number one cash cow in college sports and supposedly have one of the top 2 NIL programs up and running. We shouldn’t be losing out to anyone because of resources.
And it seems like we always do.
Texas must have Dave Ramsey as their accountant.-

They are the saying the expected OC is Lebby
-
Yeah, and Sark wasn’t a good hire based on resume.
Texas and OU can both make bad hires.
True.
They can come down to the abyss with us.-

So now we’re getting money-whipped by Tech?
Don’t underestimate the oil money and mahomes Heinz money -
If I was the type to read tea leaves and such.....I might draw some conclusions from the fact that our resident "insiders" haven't come anywhere near this thread in the last 24 hours.
Certainly CTJ or Barbacoa would have shown up to rain on our parade if he wasn't coming to Texas....
CTJ did says yesterday that it was an alleged street fight for Ewers.
And has IT said anything yesterday? TFB and other 9.95ers made it seem like it was tech but didn’t know if IT conceded as well. -
There's a chance Lanning turns into a great coach just like every other coach with no head coaching experience. 90% of the time these type hires fail.
Texas would get roasted if they hired somebody like Lanning.
Yes but at the same time Texas got an OC with shitty head coaching experience. -
-
This is pathetic but also…
He was following 400 people yesterday and 401 today. Not sure how to see who the most recent follower is. -
His gf in high school went to OU.

TFB:
SpoilerThere has not been much new information on my end, however I will share that I believe it to be a two team race for the elite QB.
Texas and Texas Tech will battle it out.
I do not have a timetable on a decision, though I imagine both schools will push for one as soon as I can with NSD looming.
From what I gather, it is no guarantee Ewers picks Texas. And I will reiterate again, Texas Tech is going to be tough to beat.
I will update when I have more on the matter.
“ Texas tech will be tough to beat.” So that means they are in front right now.
I won’t be mad when he picks tech. Because it’s tech. I’ll be mad that we have to sit here with sark for at least 2 more years, while USC got Riley LSU got Kelly, and jimbo is paying outrageous money for recruits and we are stuck. Texas football is a hell of a drug.-

FWIW (not much), there are quite a few posters on 247 claiming to have Southlake connections and all saying it's definitely Texas. Obviously tend to ignore those people and assume they're trolls but the quantity and consistency of them is interesting
Funny thing is, we won’t believe it until he’s actually here. But if they were all saying it’s tech we’d 100% believe them lol.-

Yes. His family had quietly let some folks know that he would be gone once the season ended. They didn’t state definitively that it would be Texas. Now it’s a street fight, I guess.
BTW, obviously part of my network isn’t Mike Roach.
A street fight with Tech. This is crazy lol. -
-
Roach mentioned he thinks it happens early next week? If so, I’d assume he knows where he’s going. Sea to be Texas but we’re so fucking fragile over this season & recruiting, oh and the 12 years of suck.
-
That tells you a lot regarding the Ewers thing IMO...I'd take him back tbh
Justin Wells:
Inside Texas gathers news and notes on some of UT's priority prospects - Evan Stewart, Armani Winfield, and Malik Agbo. Enjoy the morning edition.
WR Evan Stewart, Liberty (Frisco, TX) (TEXAS A&M) - 2022: It’s been less than a week since the 6-foot, 180-pound On3 No. 1 overall wide receiver for 2022 committed to Texas A&M.
One of the most polarizing prospects in this cycle was down to UT, Alabama, and the Aggies. While it remains to be seen how much Nick Saban is pushing, Texas and coach Jeff Banks aren’t going down without a fight.
Sources tells IT after Stewart’s pledge on Tuesday night, he spoke with Banks for two hours. And since then, the two have been in touch regularly.
Texas isn’t going to stop recruiting the five-star receiver until the NSD fax comes in. There’s also other variables in place that certainly benefit the Longhorns, and we’ll continue to follow that trend line.
WR Armani Winfield, Lewisville (Lewisville, TX) - 2022: The On3 four-star pass-catcher and one-time Texas pledge recently de-committed from the Horns in the middle of the UT-KSU game with most still coming out of Thanksgiving Day comas. Not ideal in Steve Sarkisian’s eyes.
He’d been convinced, with help from Michigan State, that he would be better off keeping his options open. Sources tell IT that Winfield would welcome an opportunity back in UT’s Class of 2022.
He was Sarkisian’s first pledge after he joined the Horns, and remains close to the Longhorns prospects in this class.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back in Austin, if the staff believes he’s ready to put pen-to-paper. We’re monitoring this.
OL Malik Agbo, Todd Beamer (Federal Way, WA) - 2022: The 6-foot-5.5, 320-pound On3 consensus four-star is one of the nicest, most out-going prospects on the Texas radar. His official trip to Austin couldn’t have gone much better aside from losing the game, and he’s a regular in group chats with the Texas commits.
His decision is December 15th and it appears to be a Texas-Auburn battle. IT believes Agbo is a strong candidate to end up in the 2022 group. He's built a nice bond with the UT commits in this cycle and that might help put the Horns over the top.
Michigan state doesn’t want him
Anymore?
Ewers or Bust- Lord have mercy I’m bout to bust
