As in the pro wrestling family?

Not sure.  Bobby Duncum Jr died in 2000, but this kid could be a nephew named after him or something.  Not many Duncums out there in the world.

Why in the world does 247's website not allow you to search by high school name? And if it does, why can't you just click on the high school name on a player's profile?

You can.  Go to "Player Search" and under the space where you type their name there is an option for "Recruitment Filters".  Searching by high school is one of the options.

  4. Yeah? Well as long as were fantasizing about shit,  I want jedi powers and a lightsaber so i can cut down all the bru mccoy tards on this thread. And allison brie on call for three ways with my wife whenever i want. Ill take a powerball winner as well.

I feel like monster nose tackles, much less ones worth a shit, just don’t “pop up” on the radar this late in the game. You’re probably better off wishing for that pony you’ve been wanting since you were a kid.

Married? Huh, I figured you for a high school kid or college freshman by the way you post (lingo and bravado). Way wrong on that one.

Look, I hope Dele becomes an All American and I think everyone else does as well. You shouldn't get frustrated with a poster passing on info when he has a track record of having solid info and he's showing no other agenda than being active in the discussion here. Fud's drier, more matter of fact and less dramatic than I'd like, but he's got his shit together as a poster and deserves better than being called a "bitch" for passing a data point on. You can disagree and still account for helpful accumulation of data around any subject.

That all said, since it has come up, I've been sitting on this for a while, as has Sydney, but to concur with Fud, Dele is the slowest guy on the team not playing OL or DL. His upside is special teams and being a between the tackles thumper in running situations. I'm hopeful on being wrong, but it's not a bad roster fit for Texas if what we've heard is proven out.

In all fairness, I would expect your MLB type to be near the top of that next slowest group, along with QB (sometimes), TEs, and Kicker/Punter.  It's not as damning as it might seem.  I would thoroughly expect our RBs and WRs to be faster than him.  I'm not trying to say he will be a good player for the Horns, but another factor at LB to evaluate is reaction time to a read.  Malik Jefferson could have outrun 90% of the roster, but his slow reactions to the play developing resulted in him catching a lot of blocks.

As I said, he might be Demarco Boyd.  He might be Anthony Wheeler.  I just don't think it's safe to write him off just yet.

I'm not even a coach, I know.  Skinny suys with narrow waists and shoulders don't usually put on 40 or 50 pounds of muscle though.

I know it's different positions, but a lot of people talked about how LJH would never be able to put on muscle and weight because of his small waist.

  7. How the hell did a QB get ejected for targeting?
My 80 year old mom is a Puncher, planning her travels to the semis once location is announced.  I try to keep her up on details.

My 80 year-old aunt raised Puncher girls. Sherley Poston.
  8. Used to love seeing those hits... now I cringe and hope the player is ok. And when they happen in HS games I can't help but think how stupid/dangerous the sport is, and the risk of playing is no where worth it for 95% of the kids.

Yeah, I’m the same way, and I have been for a while. It happened before my son got a concussion, but seeing what he went through made it even clearer.

Seeing my son at the dinner table crying because of the headache, seeing him take twice as long to do homework, seeing him not wanting to go outside because of the light, it was rough. I don’t wish that on any kid or parent.

  9. Who was it back at the Shag who had the overly critical review of Polley's game and then became absolutely apopletic when we missed on Polley and offered Cosmi?  That was fun.

All of us. I never, ever thought Cosmi could play. I held out hope that Polley could. Cosmi totally fooled me, and I’ll eat that crow.
