This woman is off the rails. Fitlumps mom?

Speaking of Voldemort, I was in Austin this past weekend and looking for a place to watch the MLR semifinals with my kids.  Called Little Woodrow's in the TechRidge area and I was told that kids weren't allowed there anymore, because some mom drove off drunk with her daughter in the car.  I just knew.

Gonna have to do more to catch up when down a few wickets, than just one hit for six. Rather, you need to stabilize with a strong batting partnership marked by timely hitting and good running in between the wickets.

The thread policing shit is so fucking old it hurts. The status of the staff is directly related to recruiting. Coaching and talent acquisition are inexorable and claiming otherwise is either disingenuous or ignorant.

You assholes have made me go and agree with ctj

I'd say Beck getting to work with the talent at Nebraska and Ohio State is a pretty fucking big advantage compared to working with the talent at Utah State and Houston.

But...aren't they playing stronger talent each week than Houston and Utah State?  So, doesn't that kind of cancel out?

None of the OL cared that they got a new OL coach. I can promise you the WRs wouldn't give a shit.  Mehringer/Beck's god awful rotation of WRs is more harmful than changing position coaches.

Beck was a terrible hire when it happened, and he's still a bad OC. He's likely going to get let go at hte end of the year, so why leave a bad coach in place? I don't usually advocate for change, but when the coach has been poor everywhere he's gone and he was poor for your team last year, what evidence do you have to expect a better result this year?

Everywhere he has gone as offensive coordinator his offense has averaged better results per S&P metrics than Orlando's defenses have when he was defensive coordinator.  Now, you might can attribute it to Beck having more talent than some places than Orlando did or small sample size, but you can't deny that Orlando has been poor some, too.  However, he gets the free pass.  Why?  Because of the part of your sentence "last year."  Orlando's results say he may throw out a stinker, but you feel that he is on an upward trajectory because his most recent results have been good.

Maybe, just maybe, Todd Orlando is getting better at his job the longer he does it.  This is year 17 for him as a defensive coordinator.  Maybe he is continuing to learn and grow.  Maybe Beck in his 8th year as OC will start to have similar luck.  Maybe he won't.  We were all pretty damn sure that Manny _iaz was a fool just a few short years ago.  The guy wondering if we can hold onto Orlando for five more years might be wanting to seem him fired after game 1 next year.

To sum up, I don't think anyone on this staff deserves kudos or a firing based on what they did last year.

I want to know how long thanos has been trying to get the infinity stones. Because he shows up with one, and things progress rather quickly for him during the film.

He's been wanting them a while, but he waited until a great time to do it.  Odin dead.  Ego dead.  Avengers split.  Asgard destroyed.

  7. Cue the Surly weightlifting form experts.

People always critique maximum effort lifts like it’s a 3x8 at 65% kind of day. Backs round on deadlifts, knees go in on squats, and there are uneven lockouts on bench. It happens at the highest levels.
  8. EJ after dark: Another Cali visitor?

    — Per a source close to his recruitment, four-star Mayfair (Calif.) defensive back Chris Adimora plans to make it to Austin this weekend for the Longhorns spring game. Adimora picked up an offer from Texas in February, and the Longhorns are pushing for his services. USC is currently considered the frontrunner in his recruitment, but he is open to exploring schools further away from home.
    — According to a source close to the recruitment of Amite (La.) defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher, the five-star recruit was contemplating making a visit to Texas this weekend. Sopsher will not make it in, but he will likely be on the Forty Acres in the summer. With all of this said, Alabama and LSU seem to be the leaders in this recruitment.
    — Texas recently missed out on top tight end target Baylor Cupp. So where do the Longhorns go from here? I’m told there is legitimate interest from Tampa Jesuit (Fla.) tight end Larry Hodges. In fact, I have heard that Oklahoma and Texas will likely receive official visits and might be the two schools that are the biggest threats to pry him away from the Hurricanes.
    — Texas recently hosted grad transfer slot receiver Tabari Hines for an official visit. Hines has been pretty quiet since his trip to Austin, but he did make another official visit to Oregon over the weekend. Hines will be at USC this weekend and will make a decision soon after. Right now, I am hearing that Oregon has the lead in this recruitment. I don’t feel like Hines will land at Texas at this time.

This seems awfully similar to the articles we make fun of Perroni for. Essentially, “here are some names...none of them are actually going to sign with Texas.”
