  1. Was 99% sure this was a loss for OSU at halftime.

Great adjustments by Gundy.  He's a good coach.

Corndog almost threw the game away on an out-of-bounds INT and missed a few open guys in the second half, but those runs were clutch and the old man did hit a couple of big passes. Entire last drive was amazing.   Defense played well all game against a  Heisman hopeful QB.

    Very glad I was wrong.

Remind me why OSU fans don't like Cornelius? He's looked pretty good when I've seen him

He's very inaccurate.  Downfield passes, he's probably 2-30 this year.  And its very common to hear announcers talk about wide open receivers that he didn't see.  He threw 2 bad INT's that led to scores in this game, and almost threw a third that would have likely ended the game.

But he's a very solid runner.   And he'll have a series once a half, where he's accurate and good.

But he's overthrown dozens of automatic touchdowns and usually misses his target by several feet.

(Just look at the missed 2 pt conversion last week against OU)

  3. I absolutely hate the fade route in the endzone.   It's never worked all year.

Except today it's worked both times for 14 points.

    3 point game!

  4. Corndogged another game away.  lol

he was out of bounds barely.

Cannot wait for this year to be over.   Worst QB I've seen at OSU in the Mike Gundy era.

  5. Punt worked out great.  14 mins left in the game.   Despite everything, it isn't over yet.  OSU defense has played well considering how many times the offense/special teams has given WV the ball on the wrong side of the  50 yard line.

Gundy insists that Sanders is not ready. I’m inclined to believe the coach who keeps winning at a place that you shouldn’t be able to win.

I’m a Poke chick, so I might not be quite objective.

He's earned the benefit of the doubt.  He's also earned skepticism about who he starts at QB.

(remember when Weeden was the back-up to Alex Cate for most of a year...would have stayed that way, but Cate got injured)

Mike Holder is not telling him who to play at QB. If he is he’s worse than Jerry Jones and I wouldn’t blame Gundy for leaving. Their dispute was about pay and scheduling.

Pay and scheduling AND a dispute about recruiting, where Holder made very public comments criticizing Gundy.  (trended on ESPN for a day or so this year)

It would not be out of character for Holder to make comments privately (or publicly) about Gundy's personnel decisions.

The offensive line is weak, and Sanders has a tricky knee. I wouldn’t risk him as a freshman.

So don't play your potentially star players because they might get injured?

"Sorry, other 100+ guys on the team. ..we played the inferior quarterback all season because we thought there was a small chance the younger, better QB might get injured."

    Not buying it.

They weren’t going to win this year anyway. Might as well roll with the senior. Sanders’ mom needs to stay off Twitter.

If you're not going to win, why wouldn't you give the freshman the reps?

Not gonna happen. I agree he should play but Gundy is as Gundy does. He’s still a hell of a coach even if I disagree with his view on QB play.

He is a good coach.  It could be argued that he's thrown this season away with his QB choice, but he's earned the benefit of the doubt for at least one more season (from me anyway).

I do think the very public war with AD Mike Holder has taken its toll on him.  And is contributing to his stubbornness/refusal to let anyone else play QB.   I can imagine Holder telling Gundy he should give Sanders a look...and that guaranteeing that we won't see Sanders all year.

  11. If Gundy doesn't give his other QB's a look today, I might have to disembark the Gundy train.

This game is over and the season is a loss.  And you have 4 free games for your redshirt freshman.  If there was ever a time to give Spencer Sanders a look, this is it.    To continue throwing Cornelius out there at this point is just to prove you don't care what other people think because you're the ego in charge.

  12. 'Cornelius has NFL scouts looking at him'

-Conrelius throws an INT next play.

"Cornelius has a real calmness about him'

-Cornelius throws three balls in the dirt because he's afraid of throwing another INT.  Then throws an INT.

Please stop giving Cornelius compliments.  He's fucking terrible.

If the current rankings of an expanded playoff were real:

How fun would this be.  I wonder how many viewers they'd get with 15 CFB playoff games.  I'd watch every one of em.

As it is, I'll probably watch the 3 or 4 of the exhibition games.  (big 12 teams and UCF..maybe the pirate)   As for the 'playoff', if they put two SEC teams in, I might skip the entire thing.   I seriously can't make myself care about notre dame, bama, clemson...SEC #2.   I can't even generate enough hate to root against them at this point.   No Cinderellas, no darkhorses, no drama.

Fuck the exclusive invite-only 3 game 'playoff'.  Fuck it directly in the ass.  From the front.  With eye contact.

  14. "This is the impenetrable banality of “don’t be evil.” They believe that they are doing good. And that is a problem."

-from that Julian Assange article.    Rings true, since nobody thinks they're the bad guy.   Egotists always think they're doing the right thing.

Apparently, Google was doing its own CIA type operations in foreign countries.  (some of the thing they were doing did actually seem 'good'?)

The takeaway seems to be that Google is part of the US Government.  Which isn't new news, I guess.  But it's very interesting to read all of the dates and players and places.

I read a dystopian comedy novel called 'Making Monsters' recently.  It's set in a future where geographic states have been replaced by Corporate States.   I really don't think we're too far from that becoming reality.

At some point ,US corporations are going to get tired of using lobbyist/middlemen and they'll just buy themselves an amendment that makes them states and start electing their own congressmen.

They aren't the first to explore zombie nazis but they did a decent job.

When I heard about this, i had a similar reaction.  Over the last 10 years, I've probably watched 10-15 zombie-nazi movies. (I like horror films, so I end up watching a ton of truly awful movies)   And I've seen more than a hundred nazi-themed movies.  Seems like Hollywood kicks out a few evil nazi stories every year...for a while there, anything nazi-related was getting oscar attention, thought that's not really the case anymore.   Zombie-nazi movies are usually made by small budget indie types...or micro budget groups.   And they're almost universally stupid.    "Dead Snow" was funny in a few spots.  I can't remember anything specific about it, except I remember laughing a couple times.

Did the star wars movie wear burn Abrams out?   Is he going to start doing Grindhouse type films now?
