Our DBs cant turn and run like I hoped we'd be able to. DL played poorly, but the QB run and missed tackles really ruined the defense today.

We didn't do enough to get Gabriel uncomfortable. PK would definitely like to have this game back.

I think PK thought the D-Line could win straight up, and protect the sticks. Once Catalon went down, the outside stuff became much more viable. Having Watts & Catalon would have been nice for this matchup. At the same time you have to give credit to OU for effort. There’s no reason why Lil Stoops should be successfully setting edges consistently.

Definitely a ton of effort issues. We played like shit, but OU wanted the game more. Their WRs were always looking for a hat. Their defensive line brought it every snap.

  3. Quinn is a pretty great distributor of the ball, but I don’t think he’s quite there yet as a true difference maker. Drives stall if execution isn’t perfect. He is sort of on that CJ Stroud development curve. CJ didn’t really turn it on until late into his 2nd year at Ohio State.

Oh cool the Nazca mummy shit is back again, so another generation of media illiterate dipshits will be immediately fooled and shit up our timelines.

Can you elaborate on this? I read a bunch academic articles attempting to debunk the mummies back in like 2019, but it appears none of them actually physically examined them or did their own DNA Analysis. The appearance of the mummies look remarkably human, but the X-Ray anatomy resembles reptiles and birds.

Kris Ross looked more explosive than expected for someone who I thought was a transfer candidate. Definitely more explosive than Finkley. I thought that had to be Jaray Bledsoe at first.

I think the Bledsoe & Collins hype train this fall was the product of our interior offensive line. Rice moved those guys pretty easily too. Ross looked like a player.

  6. Regardless of our performance Saturday, this is a tough outing for Saban. Our defense can keep us in this game if we can just stay ahead of the chains. I also believe we can alleviate some of our weaknesses with formations. Go empty some Sark. There’s no secondary in the country this WR group cant create separation against. Instead of making Quinn drop or turn his back to the defense, just let that bitch sling it some. You already know interior pressure is going to be there all game, get that ball out quick. Give the Blue the start, he’s not Bijan or Roschon, but hes compatible with non-existent rush lanes. He’s not going to block a soul in pass protection, but why would we run slow developing plays in the first place? Goodness, I’m just yapping, I’m hyped for this game.

  7. I watched many lesser talents on lesser talented teams connect on deep balls all Saturday afternoon. It’s kind of mind boggling that a D1 starting QB would consistently struggle with that type of thing. Though Sark knows his offense becomes much easier to defend without it, so he forces it regardless. If you’re starting QB needs the perfect conditions each snap to execute, it’s hard to picture an efficient offensive attack in college football. That being said, this team is tough out for Alabama. I think this team is talented enough to win in the Big12 without a super efficient offense. As a Texas fan, I think you will find much of your enjoyment this season coming from the defense body slamming opposing QBs.

  8. I think you got to start Neto at LG & maybe even slide Cole back in at RG if he can go. Hayden just doesn’t knock anyone off the ball, and he’s terrible pulling. Ewers is a mechanical nightmare, but I think some of that is him not trusting the interior enough to step up in the pocket. We can win this game if we stay ahead of the chains.

  9. Bama is a team we can beat. Though you can’t be encouraged by our ground game, especially in short down scenarios. You also got to think Quinn’s deep ball issues continue with even more pressure in his grill. It will be an interesting matchup for sure.
