I was at the game and could not see the ball hit the runner. The ball didn’t change trajectory or slow down. I’ve seen some of y’all say it did hit the runner so I’ll take your word for it, but it’s completely reasonable for Pierce to react the way he did. I was reacting about the same. Initially the home plate umpire was as asking Saarloos if he wanted to challenge
the umpires fucked that up six ways from sunday. just review it and be done.

Bizarro season. 1-5 on conference Fridays. 5-1 in conference series’. Nightmare non-conference performance. They certainly know how to turn it on when things are on the line, but it’s hardly enough to dig out of holes they create for themselves
while bizarro is somewhat true, I think you are overestimating how they can turn it on when things are on the line. This conference sucks ass which is why we are muddling our way through some of the series.
I'll take the series wins but they don't really tell us much due to the competition.

the clippers are the new spurs. every shot is a foul and every foul we get is wrong with the "Tim Duncan face"

This game is over. Go enjoy your afternoon gentlemen.
rest Luka and Irving and be done with it. this doesn't shock me. sure if Luka and Irving are lights out we win but the rest of the team is pretty weak mentally.

done. moving on to next game.

horrible call on that breaking ball.
and another on the fastball. Kennedy got screwed.
we better get that 6 inch off the outside corner.

Feels a lot like the start of late era Barnes. he's had 1 bad year, 1 not good year, 1 meh year, 1 good year and 3 CWS appearances. this year is looking to be in the not good or even bad pile.
The issue is he's going the wrong way at the absolute wrong time and the ship could sink. he chose to be the pitching coach and it is a decision he will have to live with.

It certainly is possible that a call from Texas to Canham wouldn't result in him leaving but besides swimming and diving, baseball is the one sport that call/opening means a ton.
Our AD is not a shitshow like it was when we hired Pierce and the conference situation might make him think about it pretty hard.
-
I would like to thank one Rodney Terry who was good enough this year that our AD won't need to be distracted and can be fully focused on firing David Pierce and hiring his replacement. holy shit.

It was pretty boring after 12 but Scottie is kind of making it boring right now.
They are gonna need to initiate a "press" option on the final hole.

He is so consistent it is actually a bit boring to watch.
We already have one Texas Ex coaster, which is the fastest and highest in the land. we don't need another.

I mean, I guess.
If the show had started at 8:45 and had the arena been at a comfortable temperature, I think the show would've been ok. But when she doesn't start until 10:30 on a Sunday night and doesn't want the a/c turned on, it's kind of easy to be put into a foul mood off the bat.
Probably half the songs she played were some serious B-side shit. I mean, I know all of Madonna's hits. And she has a lot. I'm from the 80s, goddamnit. But I didn't know a lot of the stuff she played (and judging from the crowd reactions, I wasn't alone). And then she had two 15- or 20-minute little soliloquies, where she was trying to be deep and thought-providing, but was just vapid and trite and dull. I mean, that's a lot of content to have to slog through to get her to sing the songs you showed up to hear her sing.
When she does sing those songs, it's pretty entertaining. She's not much of a dancer anymore, but her backup dancers are entertaining. And the whole staging is often pretty cool. But on the whole, . . . meh.
she's trying to be Taylor Swift....
wife went and came home at 2PM and said well I guess I can knock seeing Madonna off the list. that was apparently the highlight while you have 50 year old women in stifling heat.

It is so ridiculous the world series champ has to roll with this loser as the closer. there is enough data to pull the rip cord.

went last night. show was surprisingly good. hard to believe he is 69. the setlist was great and the eclectic nature of his/ants catalogue didn't make it feel like a greatest hits fest. The old Ants stuff actually stands a bit of the test of time. most everyone on the floor stood the entire show which says something.
The band was finominal which made the concert to be honest. I was worried he'd be off due to being 3rd night in a row but he was good enough.
