no, they aren't. Nothing except from the ex-general who tweets occasionally are even remotely good and he does a great job of keeping random speculation out of it and just goes off of this is how this works type tweets.

There are plenty of good lists on X that post updates worth reading and sharing . If you are scrolling through the “for you” on X then you are doing it wrong.

  2. I remember a few of my roommates who were rangers fans almost dying of alcohol poisoning watching the rangers choke away a World Series or two.

That could be good to see in the ALCS. Although I’d prefer an Astros sweep to save their decade older livers.

I'm honestly just thankful that my team's transgressions were merely on the field, and not (hypothetically, of course) the systemic sexual abuse of minor leaguers.  I can't imagine the shame I would have felt had that been the case.

So my crazy, annoying, thief of an aunt (trust me....none of you want to see pics) moved  from MN to Spring Hill, FL a little over 5 years ago. Since she's lived there she's done nothing but post on FB about how amazing the weather is, the lack of cold/snow, etc. In particular, she loves to chime in when her friends that still live in MN are stuck in a blizzard or arctic blast with posts like "I was sitting on our lanai and just happened to see the forecast. I hope you're all ok and this is just another reason why I fled the state before the law caught up with the dozen or so scams I've been running over the past 30+ years left MN."

The past 24 hours her friends are checking in, wanting to know if she's safe or being forced to evacuate. She's chosen the "God is my protector" hurricane preparedness plan. Just giving y'all a heads up in case a pasty white, obese, 66 YO woman with a funny accent ends up on the TV after she's been evacuated from the roof of her house via helicopter.

I dunno, I think you are mixing up concepts here. I mean there probably is some emotion for some EV drivers but I doubt that's the norm. From my perspective EVs are purely practical, emotionally there's much more connection to ICE vehicles. My play toy is ICE, my EV is purely utilitarian for work. The fact that it's objectively better for what it's used for is the whole reason i bought it, certainly not because it is inspiring or anything.

I agree 100% with the utilitarian aspect of an EV and that’s why I’m very happy with the Y I purchased.

I’ve never understood the emotional aspect with a vehicle but that’s probably because I started flying planes early on. And yes those are combustion engines too. I could not afford planes and nice cars.

And they have to help take care of their parents.  Which could be a job I guess.

A couple things in this world you just can’t bullshit your way around. Physics and demographics.

Lots of talk in the news about the first California tropical storm since 1939.  You know what else happened in 1939?  Whoop!

That’s enough correlation without causation for me to believe.
