I am not doubting your intel, I just didn’t know if it was a Bama specific issue with Davis or an SEC head office decision and he was being grandfathered in when Texas joins the SEC. But if he can leave Texas for LSU then that answers my question.

Guys, read between the lines.  Bo Davis fucked the President of the University of Alabama's wife.

Imagine watching Mitchell this year and then spitting out this dumb bullshit.

Hey motherfucker, I never said not to get Mitchell.  I wouldn't want to start or rely on true freshman this year either.  So it was great we got Whittington to come back.  These guys aren't true freshman next year.  We got Golden.  Which is great.  Do we need to keep this fucking dream going of getting Evan Stewart?  No, I don't think so.  That's all I'm trying to say.

Cook will start next season. Wingo may as well. If you want to know why we'd bring in Golden and play him over Moore and Niblett then I don't know what to tell you.

I love the Golden pick up, but now we want more?  If there are wr's that are available better than the ones we have and they are interested in us.  Sure, let's get them.  If not, then let's see what we have.

Probably. I can’t help thinking that if we don’t get another reliable vet we are going to have problems. Would need a floor setter for sure.

Can we ever let the players we recruit play the games?  We get so excited about the recruits when they commit and sign, but then we have this ever burning desire to get transfers to play ahead of them.  How about we let Cook, Moore, Niblett, Wingo, et al get some experience.

New Aggie DL coach Sean Spencer recruited him at UF.

He flipped from UF to Miami last week. And apparently forgot he was even committed to Miami. (He deleted is first errant tweet)

Committed to 3 schools in 2 weeks.  I'm sure this will work out well.

I love seeing these guys who passed on Texas that went to another school and it didn’t work out. They have to go to a small place because they aren’t good enough to crack the 2 deep at the school they thought they were better than. It truly warms my heart to see this.

I’m just happy we got Simmons. I watched a little of last years state game and was wondering who that was. Learned he was a 2024 not 23 and that he was leaning LSU.
We haven’t got guys like that in awhile. Haven’t watched any highlights or games this year so hopefully he is still the dominant player I saw lol.

He was the Defensive MVP of the state championship game again this year.  So, I think it's safe to say that he is still good.

Sorry, I don't have highlights for you.  Here is an article:

    https://longhornswire.usatoday.com/2023/12/17/texas-longhorns-football-recruiting-colin-simmons-state-championship-win-stats-recap/

Colin Simmons, a five-star recruit committed to Texas, led Duncanville to their second consecutive State Championship win against North Shore with a final score of 49-33.

Simmons finished the game with eight tackles, three sacks, three tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. He was a wrecking ball, and the North Shore offensive line couldn’t stop him from getting to the backfield.

If you had told Evan Stewart as he was entering his freshman year that he would he still be in school for his 4th year; he would have laughed in your face.  Guys like him are 3 and done.  The fact that he is in this situation should be proof that he made the wrong choice taking the bigger bag and hitching his wagon to Jimbo.  FAFO

Very weird. It's possible that contract negotiations are ongoing and there's some sticking point that hasn't been finalized.

...which if it was salary, would be totally hilarious. Bjork is exactly the kind of guy who would mess up the most important item in a term sheet.

Legit question from somebody who only casually follows recruiting..

Is TyAnthony Smith a big deal?   3 star recruit aggie has a few higher rated LBs in that class alone..

Is it the message that we flipped somebody?   A special position of need?

It's not just a perception thing.  Smith will be good.  He is better than his rating.  Plus, as others have said he will be the only LB recruit this class.

There are two different sets of turf for Jerry world. There's the one only the Cowboys play on, and then the one for everyone else. Watch the B12 championship and you'll see guys hit the dirt like a sniper took them out. The quality of the turf, the black rubber shit they spread and the quality of how they spread it are very subpar. Still beats old Texas Stadium, but it's pretty shitty.

I clearly remember Adonai Mitchell on the long pass running away from 3 defenders.  He makes a slight move and just fell completely.  Glad he wasn't hurt.

I definitely think one of the insiders got too far over the skis, reported it too early, and now Smith is doing everything he can to throw water on that fire. Agree that a secret visit would absolutely be the way to go.

I believe it was Aggie insiders that posted it first.  One of them basically conceded that he had flipped already.  Looks like their strategy to stir shit up works.

I think that has to be a bs story to try to explain something that I don't think has ever happened before to this extent.  I can't imagine he's doing anything to help the team right now and he's gone in 2 weeks.  You're gonna pay him to stay around and steal players so that maybe a couple malcontents stick around until the next transfer period in the Spring?

Nobody said their decision was logical.  That's just their way.

With Matthew Golden looking like a lock to UT, do y'all still think Baron Browning from Kentucky will be the 2nd portal WR that UT takes? With UT losing 3 bigger body X WRs after this season to the portal & NFL Draft, you'd think UT would want a portal WR in that mold.

Barion Brown.  I think you get the best players available regardless of mold.

ETA: Ryan Wingo is the big body X if you need one.
