Zwerneman not being A&M enough for them is so funny to me.

He went to SHSU and played baseball. but he has written 4 books about A&M. covered the team for 15+ years. he was selected as the person to break Texas/OU to the SEC. he broke the Fran "newsletter". was literally named the national beat writer of the year by the Football Writers Association of America in 2021

he literally met his wife at the Dixie Chicken.

Yeah, but does he have a jizz jar?

Yeah, I meant to go back and edit that, but I waited too late.  I left out the line that was in my head..."The Big 12 has chosen to have a championship game to determine it's champion, and in the future..."

I know I'm getting old...I think I type the stuff that's in my head, and then I go back and see that I didn't.

Hah I was just messing.  I just like to point out the absurdity of having a conference championship game in a conference that plays a round robin schedule.

Well, you're kind of making our point as well and I don't think you realize it.

TCU won a playoff game...that's it.  They brought home no hardware.  Now, if their coaches hadn't gotten stupid, they could've won the Big 12 championship game.  Don't you think they wish they had won that game?  Big 12 Championship trophy in the case, Big 12 champs billboards all over DFW, put it on the stadium, etc.?  Do you think they really wish there hadn't been a Big 12 championship game??  That game didn't prevent them from winning their semi-final playoff game, and it sure as heck had no bearing on them getting their asses whooped by Georgia.

You could make the case that the Big 12 championship game screwed them because they went undefeated...and in the past (SWC), doing that would win you the conference.  But when you get to 12 teams, you have to have a championship game, and there will always need to be one going forward.

Might as well go ahead and post a spring update on ATM here. Probably do it on the football board too.

Some of my friends that know people and players in and around the ATM program have always called it straight on ATM. I know some folks that read my ATM posts regularly know that, but others that don't or think I'm wishcasting, I'll just point out that I foretold of what was coming from ATM in the 2022 class back in the winter of 20/21 when they starting pushing chips in, and it wasn't funny or happy shit for us. So do with this what you may, but this isn't fan fiction even if it reads like it.

Fisher hasn't changed a thing with the offense. They're running the same shit and Petrino is being forced to learn the playbook so the illusion of him calling plays on gameday can exist. There have been no new installations of scheme whatsoever on either side of the ball.

Coaches are infighting, to the point that people are talking shit in the open at practices. Coley is completely iced from any relevance whatsoever and has no say in anything but is moneywhipped into shutting the fuck up, keeping his fancy title and worrying over tight end development.

Blackwell is apparently shellshocked. I'm interested in seeing if he stays for more than a year. Addazio and Craig apparently hate each other. Petrino and Fisher aren't feigning to be friendly in front of others.

There are still a number of weed-smoking mercenaries on the team, some of whom may not make it out of the spring. Going to class is a bug, not a feature. Smoking weed before practice is a ritual among a portion of the players.

One highly rated defensive player's parents thinks the program dysfunction is complete. But, hey, the money's right. For everyone.

If this is all true and we are as good as I think we will be...  This is going to be a great year for the aggy tears thread.  Get your popcorn ready, boys.

Okay, so let me get this straight.  He thinks that Alabama will take a step back but Notre Dame will step up because Tommy Rees who was underrated left Notre Dame and went to Alabama....

Fucking Looch.  Why they put so much stock into this fucking twerp I'm sure I'll never know.  Also, color me skeptical that a true freshman from New Jersey comes in and starts at a tackle spot on a power 5 school.  Nvm, their OL sucks.  He probably will start.

JSN was either hurt all year or quit on his team in 2022, depending on what you believe. Either would be justification for teams to drop him on their boards (probably not second round, but who knows). The teams have tape of him putting up stats against Big10 secondaries when he was college WR3 and defenses were focused on stopping Stroud, Wilson, and Olave. Can an NFL team expect him to dominate against NFL DBs when he is WR1?

In the 2021 Rose Bowl vs Utah both Olave and Wilson sat out.  JSN had 15 receptions for 347 yards and 3 td's.  That seems good.

Time for sharing….Going on 20 years ago when I got divorced, a buddy of mine, Charlie,  and I went to Sugars at 11 AM on like a Wednesday. I had decided to have a fire sale on everything my ex wife and I owned- house, car, furniture. This was also the first day that the house was on the market.  My real estate agent was trying to show my house, but could not get in touch with me. He ended up sending his assistant, who came to get my keys, but ended up getting a few lap dances and drinks instead (They ended up selling the house to that buyer). Charlie and I spent hours with one kind, older stripper on the weekday lunch shift.  We spent…. a lot. Charlie and I walked out into the bright early afternoon sunshine only to meet the manager,  who was waiting outside for us. She called us a cab. We got in the cab, and had the cabbie make one round out of the parking lot, and then drop us off next door. Giggling, we snuck up to my car, only to find the manager sitting on my car hood, again waiting for us.  Not her first rodeo, and thank God for her. She called another cab. Got home and piled all of my exs clothes together, and urinated all over them, while stirring them with a coat hanger (see revenge of the nerds for the inspiration). It was at that point, I knew I was gonna be ok.  Everyone needs a buddy named Charlie, who is down for that lunchtime strip club when you need it.

Wait, is your friend named Charlie a Vietnamese man by chance?
