Stepped on the scale today and 241 was looking back up at me. It's sad/funny that at almost 20 pounds lost it's almost not noticeable. Oh well, a couple more times of doing that and it will be noticeable. As some friends of mine say "Easy Does It".

Good job. I'm now down 11lbs in 5 days.. and I've checked it on 2 different scales. Sitting at 223 now.  First goal is in site at 215, then 200.

Gonna start doing an hour of cardio in the morning and fast 16 hours till lunch to try and ramp up the HGH and metobolic levels...starting on monday.

I know I wont keep losing that much, but damn happy about it so far.

  5. Samford and Son is up 4-1 on FSU in Tallahassee in the 5th, still bases loaded with 1 out.  (For those of us without LHN.  DIAF Comcast.)

    Make that 6-1.
Wow... Damnit we really blew it today...

  6. NSIAP-but what's going on in Oxford right now?  Rain?  Tennessee Tech/Mizz State haven't started yet and that was slated to begin two hours ago.
Prediction-one of those two teams wins that Regional.  And our town will be awash in their fanbase at this precise moment 7 days from now.
Storms and not done yet either

  9. That's not necessarily true.
Are you doing Keto for fat loss? Then after your induction period, you don't need to eat a bunch of fat.  Your body is going to burn a certain amount of calories.  Once you're in ketosis, it will seek out fat to burn.  If you are giving it 1600 calories worth of fat off your plate, that is 1600 calories of fat that it won't take off your gut.
If you're doing Keto for other reasons, and are already at your maintenance weight, then you will need to eat more fat since you don't have as much on your body to metabolize.
Keto for fat loss. Planning to lose around 50 pounds. I was planning once I got past my induction period to do mostly 16-8,20-4 or longer periods of IF. Today I actually wasn't hungry at all until after I did an hour of cardio. So a 22 hour fast.

  10. My apologies.  Your comment about having a chance to win a national championship at MSU rubbed me the wrong way because he came damn close to doing that at TCU more than once.  Could have been last year with a healthy Luken Baker.
No worries dude. Didn't even catch till now you were a frog. Yall will end up with a good coach if you hold on to your current pitching coach.
Considering everything we will have going for the program and the fact recruiting is getting better and will continue to improve... John Cohen got this program back in the right direction and took us to higher heights then ever when we played for the National Championship.
Now anyone can rag on me for saying i believe Schloss can win a national championship at MSU... But i do believe it. Considering how much he achieved at tcu in the postseason with the limitations he had.

Come on Monday... This is the worst kept secret... And tcu likely hires a coach this weekend if not tomorrow I've heard.

Tried it last night. Was indeed tasty. Picked up a single of all the others. Wasn't impressed with watermelon but might not of been cold enough. really enjoyed the "fancier" version I picked up yesterday "Alta Palla" from whole foods.. Peach flavor. It's "Organic" ooooohhhh

Just be careful about your protein because too much can knock you out of ketosis just like too many carbs. Good luck, the diet works, just need to get into the routine of it.

Yea... did some reading on that this morning. Since I doubt I was actually in ketosis yet being day 2.. likely didn't hurt but didn't help. I'll get more strict on the protein intake going forward. Damnit. Gotta make some fatballs and bring some cheese to work.

  14. Day 2 was good. Ate way too much protein I think. Whole foods has rotisserie chickens for $6 if you have amazon prime. So between half a chicken and only a small salad and grilled veggies with it.. pushed my daily protein higher than my fat intake. But made up with it for dinner by eating some triple creme cheese. Started feeling a little bit of heaviness in the stomach last night. Just meant I needed to go make myself poop. So far today, I'm not hungry at all.. so just gonna skip breakfast and I guess thats technically my first 16-8 fast. Skipped my Apple cider vinegar this morning. Nothing but water and some Stur water drops (stevia) and not even hungry. Hell maybe will just skip lunch if I'm not hungry and go straight to a longer fast.

and No I'm not gonna post every damn day like a Diary.. just trying to figure out what works.

Couple of other things I stocked up on at first were butter, heavy cream, large bags of frozen veggies (throw in water, ready in minutes), salad dressing and toppings (just no croutons) and pickles. As time went on I figured out how long certain items would last and amended my shopping habits as needed but I didn't need an unwanted trip to the supermercado upsetting my diet plans. Too easy to get derailed for me. Now it's just routine but it wasn't at first.

I actually went to Tom Thumb last night to grab some hamburger meat but ended up stocking up on a bunch of different proteins that were discounted. Will go to Central market tonight to load up on Veggies. I can't do frozen veg because of the texture.  most veg i eat is roasted or steamed.  Already keep a steady supply of Kerrygold around so good on Butter.

Day 1 lesson was Dairy is more carb heavy than I thought...which is gonna suck. I'll slam a big mug of Raw Milk like it's nothing. Or eat a big bowl of Yogurt. Gotta have better control on those.

Started last night with a tsp of Apple cider Vinegar to see if I could stand the taste..wasnt bad and helped with the hunger late at night.. so took a full tsp this morning with water. I'll add lemon tonight with it to help the taste a little but it's not bad.. I drink Sour beers all the time already so the flavor isn't off putting to me.

And for shits and giggles I did step on the scale last night... and was down 2lb's but that's all the water I'm pissing out.

The plan for this week is get 3-4 days in of steady keto diet (i haven't peed on a strip yet). I might keep doing that through the weekend or go ahead and move to 16-8 fast. Either way, I',m planning to be doing a 16-8 on Monday. I'll get an hour of cardio in early in the morning during the fast and then break my fast at lunch time..several hours post workout. Read some interesting info about how effective Cardio is while fasting. And also how your HGH is highest in the morning during a fast and it's best to not eat immediately after working out because you will get the best results fat burning wish by not breaking the fast immediately with a post-workout drink.

  16. Day 1 done of Keto. Hey it's a damn start. came within 50cals of goal today. Carbs went a little higher than I meant (mid 30's).  Gotta start making some food myself.. can't eat a Roti steak salad every day. Plus Ham, cheese, and egg will get old quick .... starting weights around 235. Goal over next couple months is hit 215 as a start. ultimate goal is 185 area but I know getting under 200 will be a damn big accomplishment for me.

How so? John made it clear that we were going to get a Championship level coach.. It wasn't completely pointed towards Schloss. and that's bullshit for you to say he should have waited.. we were in a unique situation of some of the TOP Coaches in the country reaching out to us over the past 3 months that the job has been opened. Hell if this falls apart we likely end up with Dan McDonnell.. Kendall was one of the first to confirm Schloss was a candidate.. but still hasn't confirmed anything is signed. As of 4 hours ago he said he was leaning Schloss but could still end up being McDonnell.

I would think that TCU would keep a successful coach compensated and happy and I'm a bit surprised that Schloss would leave there. He's been good for their program, no doubt.

It won't be about compensation.. even though he will be one of the top 5? paid coaches if it works out. It's because of the difficulty in getting athletes in under the 11.7 rules. An athlete has to borrow $20k a year to make up the difference at TCU, vs that amount for 3-4 years at MSU. It's the fact we will have the nicest college baseball facility in America in 9 months. It's that we have some of the best fan support in the nation. It's because he has a chance to come to MSU and win a National Championship.

Something weird is going on with Schloss.  He could have been the Texas coach....and now headed to Miss St?   Does not add up.

From what I'm putting together, the timing was wrong with the kids and He didn't want to be the guy to follow a legend. Now if your job was open right now.. who knows. Or if it opens up in 5 years... would he leave MSU (if he is hired) for UT? Who knows?

All I know is I'm damn excited about it..and have been for weeks... I'm finally believing Schloss will be our next head coach.. It's by the far the biggest Coaching hire in MSU history and can likely set the tone for the future of the program.
