  1. They are playing like the Yankees offense in the playoffs this year.
  2. John McClain agreed with the signing of Montero. With that in mind I call it the worst deal of all time.
  3. I'm just trying to look on the bright side but I hear you
  4. Also let's just say everyone in the bullpen does well including Martinez and maybe another minor leaguer like Enoli the Astros can deal from depth at the deadline to fill a hole that might have opened up during the season.
  5. He also was 14/16 with save opportunities when Pressly was out.
  6. What do we think about Conforto? Too risky or worth it on a prove it deal?
  7. I don't feel as bad now that I compared it to Robert Suarez's deal. Montero pitched something like 20 more innings also
  8. Yeah I've just never seen it consistent even at 96 for a whole start
  9. He averaged 93-94 this year. That is high 90s?
  10. Kershaw back to LAD on a 1 year deal
  11. Well the over $60 million the Astros paid him was insured for injury so it cost Crane nothing other than putting them closer to the luxury tax
  12. Am I missing something on why the Yankees are in the field section?
  13. They are attributing the quote to him with the tag for a video he's in
  14. https://www.mlb.com/news/rule-5-draft-prospects-protected-on-40-man-rosters Julks, Jayden Murray(Siri trade), and Cristian Gonzalez need to be protected for the Astros
  15. Here's a stupid idea I just had. Bring back Correa to play third and move Breggy to first base.
  16. Maybe he's a solid bench coach and the players like him. That would be my guess at least
  17. If veterans want to start taking pay cuts to come to Houston to chase titles like the old Detroit Red Wings let's get it but idk about Mancini
  18. I know what you're saying but it's still a good data point
  19. Well seeing as how a team with less than 90 wins in a full season has only won it all 5 times I would say that typically that's an accurate barometer of a very good team. I mean literally the Phillies had to fire their manager they were so bad at one point. They did also lose their best player for a good bit of time.
  20. It's $13 million for Smith with a $1 million buyout. I would pay the buyout
  21. Stanek doesn't need to be brought back. He has one year of arbitration right?
  22. Also in regards to deadline deals from Click, I'm still surprised Odorizzi wasn't traded for a prospect or prospects.
  23. His ERA+ has gotten worse the more innings he pitches though minus his first year.
  24. I thought for luxury tax purposes Bregman's number doesn't change
