I’ll throw in a quote from wiki about The Pretender since it’s FF and felt like it was played every 15 minutes for months that naught both support and then negate its nomination.

I honestly forgot that song existed.

    Speaking of forgiving a clunker...

I used to laugh about the backing vocals on this track.  It sounds exactly like a backing vocalist learning a song they've never heard and fishing around to find the harmonies.  Except in this case, they used the first pass on the record.

Turns out the vocalists in question was Stevie.

In fairness to her, Stewart hits a few clams himself.  The first syllable of "shower" at 1:00 is off by at least a half step.

I was under the impression that in 1979, cocaine gave everybody the energy to work hard and get it right, but maybe not...

Yeah I like to imagine she was blasted out of her mind and they just chucked her in the booth and said have at it. I will always listen to this song when it comes on because it has the perfect hilarious/awful/awesome balance going on. I almost can forgive Stewart for being in the Kingston Trio. Almost.

I don’t think there’s any evidence besides “ attractive woman” to support the idea that she might not be the engine and main creative force behind the Taylor Swift empire.

This is the main thing I think people gloss over, subconsciously or not.

The other thing is the notion that any mega artist made it just because of musical talent.

I just don’t think it’s as organic as most people think

I'm not sure you are using organic in the correct manner here.

I'd also not use Stevie Nicks of all people as an example of singing on key, and I say this as a Stevie Nicks fan.

I’ll fight anyone I don’t give a fuck. I legitimately like Taylor Swift and have mad respect for both her talent and her work ethic, and I think she gets way too much shit for dating like 7 guys in her twenties. My daughter loves Tay Tay and I think she’s a great role model.

her cousins got her this shirt and I’ve tried really hard to explain how badass of a gift it is -

her loog is in her closet and I heard strumming and singing - “Disney WOOOOOrrRrrRrLD! Disney Woooorld, oh Disney…..

    WORLD”

I talk to her about how her songs are great and that she can write songs and sing them on stage like Daddy or Taylor Swift if she keeps it up.

I'm not a big fan of her tunes but I also have immense respect for what she's done. She's A OK in my book.

Plus I love how she riles up the olds.

I love pastel fenders. It’s silly that I have … 7 of them and they’re all natural/blonde sunburst or black.

So one of the things that suckered me into this was the color, my first Strat was a Daphne Blue 57 MIM reissue. The nostalgia bit got me. Plus the guitar was almost 700 of retail.

I have to say the Pure Vintage '65 pickups in this thing are really fuckimg good. I was fairly surprised. I'm thinking of putting some in my Strat Plus.

The neck is a little chunkier than I like but not anything crazy.

You just know the Saudis are cheering this on, I can guarantee they made the case for it.

The biggest single issue is, just like the last 20-30 years, we don't KNOW where their nuclear program "is at."  Even if it is currently destroyed, I'm guessing we gave them a huge motivator to start it right back up, and apace this time.

If you think this is some kind of final solution to the Iranian nuclear problem, I think you are deluding yourself.

It's honestly wild to see some of these people not learn a single lesson of the past 150 years.
