Forgive me Surly, for I have sinned.  It has been seven years since my last guitar-purchase confession.  I coveted a guitar I have lusted after for many years.  I succumbed to to 0% financing and will pay $40 per month for a relatively short period of time.  In penance, I shall perform 20 rock-god stances and 15 guitar faces ever day.  I will light candles and incense.  I will howl at the moon.  Amen.

Tracked some drums this past weekend at the studio. Lots of fun mic’ing it and recording (with a pro actually calling balls and strikes). Got a good sound. Pics look a little weird behind the kit due to “cleanup” mode to protect the innocent session drummer. 17 total mics, lol. A little bit of preamp, one parallel compression on the kick, and toms/snare through a Bricasti M7 (erotic).

Did you get a new kit?

We've had this convo before, SF/SO pedantry aside, there seem to be a fair number of borderline or outright psychopaths among their ranks.*

So in my experience, it is really dependent on several factors. I've had many friends/acquaintances among the SEALs, most people know I'm from Virginia Beach, and know what is based here, and I can tell you it's runs the gamut from totally unassuming family guys to outright psychopaths.

I've also seen some guys who were truly gentle souls be broken by the work.

One of my neighbors is a finance bro.  I had to stifle an audible chuckle when I saw him a couple weeks ago wearing the white button down with the puffy vest.

    A meme at this point!

    SIR, THIS IS A WENDY’S

Ironically I'm flying today. Not wearing a suit before anyone asks.

One of the funny aspects of the big tech world is how baseball caps, ironic shirts, and beards became the new costume for wealth.  If you show up to Google in a suit, people are going to ask what you're selling.  My firm actually got negative feedback because one of our project managers wore a tie.  It's just another stupid, arbitrary dress code.

Don't forget the finance bro and the Patagonia vest

Maybe secretary real world should demand his colleagues (other than whiskey pete, who seems to know what tailors are for) get news suits from somewhere other than the 3 for $99 store

Also true except Kegsbreath looks terrible too. Or at least color blind

Why?  Like construction crews, baristas, artists, fast food cooks, dairy milkers everyone?

Because the suit is more aesthetically pleasing.

    But no not literally everyone.

I have it on my Vibroverb and its the tits.

All this Super talk has me looking at Supers though.  And it seems you can get a vintage one for about the same price as a new one.  That seems odd to me.

You would be surprised how many amps are like that. A clean vintage one is going to be a little more expensive, but not tons. My '62 was 3,400 or so IIRC. But I feel this more mean that old ones are better value for the time, and also the will increase in value.

Marshall sells reissue JCM 800s and 900 that cost as much if not more than the vintage ones. And sells the shit out of 'em.
