  1. Heading down tomorrow for a quick 3 day trip.  It will be the first time the boy will see the beach.  He's super excited.  We are staying at Island Retreat.  The mosquito talk on here worries me though.

    do you even humblebrag, BRO?

I should have said I ordered them and paid the ridiculous shipping.  although the shipping from London wasn't bad.  But from the Netherlands, it was more than the bottle cost.

  3. Not sure on which exact countries get it, I bought the SFTB and the Gold from stores in the Netherlands and London. Thestud got the bottle of Special Reserve for me in Prague.

    Is this stuff even bourbon?

We've discussed Rye on this thread before, so didn't see any reason why this would be different.  We don't have a generic "whiskey" thread so I talked about it here.

  5. So I walked into the living room this morning and found the boy standing in front of the dog laying on the couch.  He was waving his penis in the dog's face.  Jesus, help us.

  6. It's a high proof single barrel from Texas, so you must have paid at least $180. - Garrison Bros (probably)

It was $75. It’s different and better than Garrison IMO. I think it is priced about $20-$25 more than it should be, but I get it...it’s a small operation that hasn’t been in the market very long and they are probably wanting to start recouping some $ ay this point.

  7. It tastes like weller 12 and Blantons had an illegitimate daughter.

With the mash bill it’s no wonder.

    Did I say that right?

    I’d say that’s a pretty good description.
  8. Went out to Forney today and toured Five Points Distillery and tasted their line of Lone Elm Vodka, Small batch Texas Wheat whiskey and their new Single Barrel Wheater.
Single Barrel was good enough for me to pull the trigger on a bottle.
It’s a 4 yr whiskey from locally grown wheat.
Surprisingly very smooth for 109 proof.
