According to the horrible Westlake homer announcer, Drip should have had 2-3 penalties called against them on every offensive play. He’s Stoopsian in his announcing.

    Yeah he’s horrible.

My kids go to westlake and I can’t stand him.

Drip is a damn good team. 28-28 end of 3q

They work about half the time for me. If you open image in a new tab it will do the CAPTCHA and then you can see it. What my really sucks is almost all the gifs these days are on yarn. If you exclude yarn from the search on google there’s not much in the results

Save it from yarn to your computer then upload it here. Save the link to the uploaded file if you plan on using it again.

You should do this for almost any picture you post here as we keep images forever. Nothing sucks worse then finding an old thread that answers your question and someone linked pics from a website that no longer exists and they are all gone.

  3. Sb have you looked where the crossover point is if you wait till 70?

    It's 82.

So if you die before 82 you leave money on the table, even longer if you can afford to just invest it when you get it.

I'm taking it the day I turn 62, I'm not sure I'll live to 82.

When you guys are planning for retirement, are you counting on social security income?

I'm planning on retire in 12 years, and not counting on social security to be solvent. Getting anything would be like a cherry on top.

    yes.

    Why? Because old people vote.

Also if you look at this graph

Population pyramid for the United States in 2020.

I was 50 in 2020. The 45-54 bands are smaller than the 55-64 bands.

As the boomers die off there will be more workers per retiree than there are now

  5. I have an uncle that worked at Ford.

They had a 6 week six sigma training that managers could send employees to. Only shitty employees got sent to it because managers would not want to send a good employee there and lose them for 6 weeks. So when my uncle saw somebody trying to transfer into his group and they had the 6 week six sigma course on their employee record they were an auto reject for him.

  6. I'm fine with Max getting fucked by the vsc, he deserved it after getting the advantage by going off in turn 1.

Did fuck mercedes, allowing Ferrari to pass them in the constructors.

  7. He's Duane's youngest son.

My kid is on the JV team and they lost to LT 21-0. LT's JV team has a defensive end that was unblockable by the name of Brian Orakapo. I asked my buddy how he was not on varsity and he said because the ones on varsity are way better. He was right.

Interesting paper published by Anthropic about a tiny sample size of documents being able to poison ANY size LLM

    https://www.anthropic.com/research/small-samples-poison

Very interesting considering that there's a shitload of scraped info from github, reddit, and blogs in general. A person could concievably seed in just a few hundred documents with trigger words and set up unintended behavior in the LLM. What's wild is how scalable the attack vector is, you need proportionally smaller sets of "poison" documents the larger and more complex the model is.

Larger models are effectively more vulnerable, because they take in geometrically larger sets of documents in training and need a linearly increasing set of "poison" documents. "Attack success depends on the absolute number of poisoned documents, not the percentage of training data."

I know political campaigns are already planning on trying to seed the AI engines

particularly given that we (eanes) have already beaten aisd to the punch on consolidation. we closed one of long-standing six elementary schools (valley view) between last year and this year.

yep. That was my kids elementary and now my hood is split and goes to a couple of different schools.

Valley View was great. The principal was amazing. It was a night and day difference how much better run it was compared to Casis.

Austin letting go of the tax base west of Mopac is a pipe dream, of course, but I've often wondered if there is a way for homes west of 360 to figure out a way to get rezoned to a different school district, as AISD never saw fit to build any schools out here where a bunch of kids live.  I know that will never happen, but a guy can dream.

Eanes has a pretty liberal transfer policy and once you're in you can stay through 12th grade.

My kids have several friends that live in aisd zoned areas that go to westlake.

  11. before I got to the second line of your post moonshine popped into my head.

Anytime I've had coworkers come from out of town we've gone there and they've handled groups from 10-20 without an issue. Great appetizers to share and a diverse menu that everyone should be able to find something.

I say the same thing about Schmidt's in Bee Cave.  There's never more than 1 or 2 cars in the parking lot.

It's horrible. One time the brisket was 75% unrendered fat, the other time it was like a mushy pot roast. Never went back. I heard it is closing.

Wasn’t able to make it this year but did anyone have trouble with squatters in your seats, that shit drives me insane especially when they argue with you or try the ol’ someone is in my seat. No they’re not, you don’t have a ticket, and if they are tell them to move. I almost got in a physical altercation because of this shit and questioned whether it was worth it to come back. Fuck it, hopefully I’ll be there next year, I promised my daughter.

Yes. I had seats 17-20 but was thinking it was 15-18. Someone showed up that had 15-16 so I looked and saw our tickets were 17-20 and there were people in 19-20. I told them they were in our seats and needed to move. The lady moved immediately but the man stayed in 20. I asked if he was going to move and got a smarmy yes sir. My daughter could see I was about to start a fight and got between us, sat in 19 then every time we’d stand up/sit down would move over a few inches and eventually had our seat back.
