The City's ride through, and reaction to winning the 2022 World Series can't be surpassed in any circumstance....maybe equaled but not surpassed.

The Astros' period of sustained success from 2015-forward is unmatched in Houston. Period. End of story.

However, if (and that is a extremely big if, perhaps the largest if you could ever imagine) the Texans ever made a serious playoff run, I think the fever that would come with that would surpass the Astros, but only because football fever and baseball fever differ -- one game vs. five or seven game series. Every football playoff game is G7, and the build up to each game is a week vs. less than 24 hours. Anyone who lived here in the late 70's and witnessed the Oilers' playoff runs can attest to how crazy the City got during those runs.

Let's hope we can have a debate at some point to compare the Texans' parade(s) with the Astros' parades. Alas, I see no way that happens until Bob's widow passes, and Tommy Boy McNair sells the team.

Least populated county in Montana is Petroleum County with a population of 487.  That whole storyline is stupid.

If I had a 700,000 acre ranch, I'd have plenty of places to dispose of dead bodies.  Getting rid of dead bodies has much more to do with who knows than it does where the bodies are hidden.  That part of the storyline makes perfect sense.

This is the fact from which the storyline originates:

The United States District Court for the District of Wyoming is currently the only United States district court to have jurisdiction over parts of multiple states. This is because its jurisdiction includes all of Yellowstone National Park, which extends slightly beyond Wyoming's boundaries into Idaho and Montana. In addition, the federal government has exclusive jurisdiction over the park, so crimes committed in the park cannot be prosecuted under any of the states' laws.

Trials in the district court are normally held at the federal courthouse in Cheyenne, Wyoming. However, the Sixth Amendment to the United States Constitution decrees that juries in federal criminal cases must be made up of citizens who are from both the district and state where the crime was committed. Because of this, charges for a crime alleged to have been committed in the area of the park in Idaho would have to be tried before a jury consisting entirely of residents of that area, and the trial would also have to take place in that area As the Idaho portion of the park is uninhabited, a jury of residents of both the state and district could not be empaneled. As the Constitution guarantees the right to a jury trial, specified three separate times (Article III, Section 2; 6th Amendment; 7th Amendment), a defendant facing any felony or misdemeanor charge, being unable to receive a constitutional trial, could not be legally punished regardless of guilt or innocence.

The constitutional loophole in this area was discovered by Michigan State University law professor Brian C. Kalt while he was planning to write an essay about technicalities of the Sixth Amendment, which entitles criminal defendants to a fair and quick trial. The essay, which is called "The Perfect Crime", was published in 2005 in The Georgetown Law Journal. After Kalt discovered the loophole, he worked to have Congress close it. However, Congress ignored Kalt's suggestion.

So, IRL, there is such a place, but it is in Idaho not Montana and would only apply to crimes committed in the Idaho section of the Park, If you kill someone on the ranch and dump the body in the Idaho section of the Park, you are still getting prosecuted in Montana state court.

A hell of a trial lawyer such as yourself, albeit with unconventional methods, should have known this.

A county with a population of zero, so no jury of peers.

there actually is some truth to the idea but the writers have twisted it pretty badly for the show.

Any legal eagles want to weigh in?

They are using the mark. You can buy all sorts of "Titans throwback" merch on-line. https://shop.tennesseetitans.com/collections/titans-throwback-collection

This one would be my favorite, if it weren't blasphemy ... https://shop.tennesseetitans.com/products/ttannv0430-oilers-earl-campbell-4x6-plaque

    Looch actually gets something? Shocking.

Bullshit. That S.O.B. happily retweeted the Taaffe video and (as of now) has not apologized or taken down his tweet or otherwise acknowledged he was wrong.

That's what I saw.   His head snaps back.  The Texas player was pushed from behind into the dumbass fan.

And he then appears to stop. if he was being malicious, he likely would have kept on running. Without a Zapruder-like analysis of both films by Jerry, Kramer, and Newman, we won't know with certainty about either incident. But neither incident happens if the Tech administrations keeps the fans off the field. B12 should (but won't) fine the shit out of the school.

    ULL in 2020:

Took OT to beat Georgia State

2 pt win vs Georgia Southern

    4 pt win vs UAB

10 pt win against Texas State lol

7 pt win against Arkansas St

3 pt win against App st

Besides having 2 special teams scores and beating Iowa St with only 270 yrds of offense, what am I missing?  Is the hype purely because they have so many starters returning?

Nice G5 vs P5 win; lots of starters returning

10 years of avg Texas teams (including the f'ing Maryland fiascos); Texas hate
