Honestly, and this is not a defense just an excuse I guess, between the stop and starts with masks I haven’t paid attention to anything about it— at first it was masks don’t help and save them for professionals, then it was actually masks work, then it was don’t wear masks if you are fully backed because it sends a bad message to recovery, to now back to masks. I’ve just tried to keep it simple: get the vax, wear a mask where required in public, and stay out of the berth of strangers generally speaking.

    Anyways

god you're dumb. You should maybe pay attention to the thing out there that has killed more people than the entire populations of 5 states beyond "masks bad."

It was never "masks don't work," it was "we don't know if this virus is air born, and if it's not, masks don't stop the transmission because we think it's contact to contact, and we need to save masks for doctors so don't hoard them." Then it was "oh shit, evidence is that the virus IS air born, masks work." And it's never fucking changed since.

Like, these are things I learned in the 4th grade.

Rand Paul's wife bought some in February of 2020 and it was something like 16 months before he disclosed it.

    That was redemsiver, not regeneron.

But they still probably have some stock they're not disclosing. Or, like others have pointed out, they're a top donor.

Because fuck you, peon, that's why.

Member of The Party gets: daily testing, immediate access to sledgehammer treatment for COVID.

The schoolchildren of Texas get: good luck, little fuckers!

The MAGA crowd crows against "the elites, who don't care about the little guy!".....and then proceed to rapaciously fellate The Party elites who are openly telling them "I don't give a fuck about any of you!"  The stupidity...it burns.

Literally sending $6000 per shot treatments at tax payer expense (because they have 100% socialized health care) to King Abbott in his literal mansion while children in dallas have to fly to fucking oklahoma to have tubes shoved down their throats.

whats the deal with Republicans and Regeneron? Trump, DeSantis, and now Abbott have all included the specific name in their public announcements. Is Regeneron bankrolling their reelection campaigns?

And why is it ok for them to take that drug but not the vaccines? Such a weird and confusing group of dumbasses...

Because it's expensive as fuck and they probably own stock in the company behind it.

well yea, but what I thought I heard was that truly asymptomatic was only happening in children and babies and teens/adults had symptoms that presented, from the extreme to the most basic that had people assured they were dealing with seasonal allergies or just a headache or whatever.

Yea real question and I'll take my lumps as a dummy and just google it because I'm apparently beyond stupid, but just to try and defend my question:

I had covid-19 (pre-vaccines as an option) and it kicked my butt. I've also been vaxxed around the same time as Abbott with same vaccine. Just curious if you can be asymptomatic and not know it at all. Like, nothing, not even a little bit of fatigue or headache or whatever it is that presents as allergies, etc.

do you know what asymptomatic means? give you a hint, "a" means "without" and "symptom" means "symptom."

My heart absolutely agrees with this.  My head thinks that a highly publicized death of a vaccinated person would be a fucking nightmare for the country.

worst case scenario is all those people not getting vaccinated wouldn't get vaccinated, but abbott, who is polling abnormally high, isn't there for the next election.

    I'm fine with that.

I can't blame businesses like restaurants and bars for not shutting things down again...but I wish they would.

I sure as shit can blame greg abbott for ending PUA early and holding up disbursement of small business disaster relief that was already allocated which forces these business to have to choose between starving their employees, and remaining open, though.

Yea but I would be could rightfully be sued and thrown in jail for that.  Now a lawsuit because I tried too hard to educate my patient about their condition... that one would be fun to participate in.

Do you run a family practice? I read about a doctor in Alabama who announced they will no longer see patients who aren't vaccinated. For the sake of people I know who are, football smack talk aside, sadly deep down the antivax hole, I really wish more doctors would do that.

Yea I am having a very difficult time working up a lot of sympathy these days for the purposely unvaccinated.  The kids, immunocompromised,  and those who can't be vaccinated but have done what they can are a different story of course.  If I run into a patient accusing me of lying that they have covid this will be me after I hand over the AMA form

    stop-dont.gif

"The pulmonologist has attempted to convince patients and their families to get vaccinated, but he’s only succeeded about a fifth of the time. “There's a fair number of people who don't believe they have COVID and that we're lying to them,” he said.  When Dr. Meena attempts to educate his patients, he finds that the process itself can cause his patients to get unstable. “If they get too agitated, then they get more short of breath, then they require more support and then they get intubated. "

Interesting.  I may have to try this out....

They should just give them injections of bleach like they want, it'll be quicker and save resources for people who actually need them.

So don’t feel Like searching so who knows the answer to this.

Texas and ou have been formally invited to the sec so what’s the hold up on paying the buyout or making this our official last year in the big 12? Are they waiting to avoid a year of shit from other fanbases or what’s the deal.

There's always a chance the B12 disintegrates before a buyout is needed.
