There's more there than what he has been as a shooter by his shooting metrics. You expect dudes who shoot as well as he does from the free throw line to improve so hopefully we get some of the fruits next year.
So the coaching market sucks, they're going to have to totally regroup mid-portal season, but they get to be rid of Buzz. Not sure where this lands as something we should be happy about, guess we'll see if they can money whip someone.

Doesn't make it not a troll account lol, wonder if he's "reporting" stuff from Trilly's Discord or something along those lines

Fun literature on him. I don't know a ton about SMU but it sounds like they just want someone who is able to gladhand and be a figurehead that isn't making real decisions. But I do have a bit of insight on the Maryland program and school. President isn't interested in sports, without the AD the voices are Gary Williams (legendary coach but been retired for 15 years and part of why he retired was a refusal to recruit AAU kids so very much a relic) and Kevin Plank. They don't have an Eltife type to rally the money and keep everyone in their places and the money hasn't been able to be successfully rallied ever really.
Buzz would probably do well there given the expectations left behind by their last A&M coach in Turgeon who was basically their Shaka. We should just hope that someone at Maryland is a bit more ambitious and they try for Luke Murray to keep Buzz in place.
Eh, I think it's more that Maryland is an absolute mess currently. Their president is clueless, Willard just forced out a bad AD who way overinvested in a bad football coach and wasn't putting in the resources Willard felt he needed to succeed which is hilarious given his lack of a track record. But desperation is opportunity for a last big payday for Buzz. He probably assumes this team with a senior Wade Taylor was the best he could do.
