  1. Liucci may be the closest thing I’ve seen to a real life Ignatius J Reilly. He’s totally irrelevant with everything he says. He fake works as a way of life. He says a ton and bloviates as though it’s a source of oxygen. He’s perpetually in cahoots with buffoons. His fantasy world involves him being some sort of omnipotent savant, which constantly leads to wrongheaded idiocy. And he’s trending towards the kind of big, fat ass descriptive of the character. He also has zero sense of humor and yet is the source of continued high comedy for those spectating. It’s kind of fascinating.

  2. See the 2016 loss to SMU, and the losses to Maryland the last couple years... he does have a history of random bad losses.

That shit happens to everyone that has a thin roster. It doesn’t happen to teams that are super talented everywhere and have depth. Those teams have off games but still win. Hopefully Ok State game was an example of us getting to that point.

  3. League has an IR roster spot. Currently have Hunter Henry sitting there. Not a lot of info on how long he’s going to be out. I picked up Mark Andrews when Henry got hurt which was great in week 2, not so much week 3.

Anyway, Derrius Guice is available (supposed to come off IR week 9 iirc). Trying to decide if I should drop Henry and throw Guice in my IR slot. (It’s apparent lots of people in my league don’t understand the IR slot).

    RB situation:

    Zeke

    Chris Carson

    Melvin Gordon

    Tony Pollard

    Wayne Gallman

    Ronald Jones

I’m thinking Henry has more value to me later in the year but my default is to always grab as many good RBs as possible. And I’m worried Carson is going to get benched.

Maybe just wait another week or two and see how Andrews does?

  4. Haven't seen a Milroe update but here's on from OB
Take, for instance, last week … Milroe was pulled in the second quarter because Tompkins thumped Clear Creek 70-21, but his stat line was pretty ridiculous. Milroe finished his night 4-of-4 passing for 94 yards and 1 touchdown. On the ground, he carried three times for 128 yards and he scored on ALL THREE CARRIES. That’ll work.

On the year, Milroe has completed 77 percent of his passes for 774 yards with 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He has rushed for 158 yards and 3 scores on just 10 carries.

He’s got Katy next Thursday. Might have to go watch.
  5. I know he doesn’t interview very much, and doesn’t make much sense when he does, but I wonder what Zach Evans thinks about everything he witnessed yesterday, especially the aggie run game.

    CAR YDS AVG TD LONG
    K. Mond 9 26 2.9 0 17

    I. Spiller 6 9 1.5 0 13
    TEAM 21 56 2.7 0 22

About half their 56 rushing yards came on Kibodi’s 22 yd run on 3rd and ~40.

iirc a while back the OL & OL recruiting was very important to him. If he goes to aggy we will all know why.
  6. It’s great that we can still win with so many mistakes by both players and coaches. But at what cost? If we would have been blowing them out in the first half like should have been happening, how many of those defensive injuries to starters are avoided? This game will likely cost us down the road.

Also, I think it’s time for Herman to start coaching like he has the better team in games like this. That’s one thing that Mack mastered. You don’t have to gamble when you’re the better team. Take the damn points every time.

  7. Best game the defense so far, taking competition into account. But man those long bombs...

Every one of them was well covered though. It’s not like guys were running wide open like we’re used to seeing in the not so distant past.
