We ran the experiment of “imagine what we could accomplish if we didn’t have to go into the office” and 95 percent of the population chose to bake shitty sourdough, never change out of sweatpants, and get fat while binge-watching Netflix. Spare me the wishcasting of all the amazing things we could do by not going to work and just locking in at home. We are fucking animals and we will choose to consume calories and conserve energy just like other omnivores if given the choice.
100 percent agree that I will assume peiple who demand WFH as their top priority have low ambitions and low desire to learn. I think WFH is an incredibly important flex tool that can be deployed in a time-constrained way but if you’re doing it all the time you’re just a widget.
There are lazy bums that go into the office every day because they happen to be extroverted. Our VP of Engineering is the hardest working person in the company and she lives remotely. It completely depends on what kind of person you hire, the outwardly demonstrative 'go-getter' is just as likely to be a brown-noser yes man than an effective leader.

One thing I noticed watching College Football this year was an absurd amount of gap busts and huge RB runs. You never really seen that on Texas defensive tape. Ant and Liona were rarely out of position. Missed tackle here or there? Yeah. I’d take that over a 50 yard touchdown run though. Those two were apart of some nasty Texas rush defenses.
Uhh, nearly every long run we did concede was due to Lefau overplaying or not reading his keys correctly. He was the weak link in the front seven. I’d prefer he stay but I can’t imagine we won’t be able to find at least a comparable replacement. -

-Expect Tre Wisner back at this time. Simon and Clark are expected to return but not a 100% lock.
-Most likely Jaime Ffrench will be back. Aaron Butler is likely gone. "We’re interested to see how DeAndre Moore’s agent plays his hand."
-Would be surprised if Will Randle returned
-Expecting Trevor Goosby back at this time
-"Very likely" Hero Kanu will return. Watching Melvin Hills for a potential exit.
-At corner, they are watching Wardell Mack, Kobe Black, Santana Wilson and Caleb Chester
-"We believe it’s increasingly likely Jelani McDonald will return"
- Derek Williams and Johnson-Rubell are the two safeties they are monitoring
that all sounds like best case scenario thus far

This is completely irrelevant. "Close" or improbably Wins are going to happen to multiple teams in the playoffs every single year. Looking at post-game win expectancy, UGA could easily be a 3 or 4 loss team, OU could easily be a 4 loss team, but they aren't and nobody is talking about that shit.
it matters when you are trying to justify a team with more losses being in over teams with less losses

Got to mix it up. I think Reed is a 1 read QB. If you give him his 1st read and clean pictures, he will throw for 300+
yeah, aggy is in a lot of ways a better version of the arky offense. Don't give easy throws over the middle, don't lose track of the TEs, and play sound on the edge in the option game.

I actually have the play clipped.
It looks like Cover 1 presnap that rolls to Cover 3 and Manny forgot the call. If it's man, then it's on Taafe. I am only saying Cover 3 based on how the other side of the field played it with the corner digging deep and them passing off the crosser. Fucked up play for sure.

Yep these are them, good catch.
Just way too aggressive and ignoring first responsibilities. Not acceptable from our most experienced DBs.

Yeah, when I rewatched, it was hard to even tell who was busting the coverage. There was a rail to the RB where nobody was within 10 yards of him, as soon as the ball was snapped. Both safeties were on either side of the line of scrimmage. Other times, like when their TE got behind the second level on play action, it looked like we played one high safety but not man? It was very confusing. Almost like we're calling junk defense.

I think it is clear the defensive output has been less than the sum of its parts. The coaching and scheme has been bad at LB and DB. There is a lack of cohesion and coordination between the back 7 that is hard to understand, really. We have good athletes, not good football players. Or at least not improving football players.

This is what happens when you start playing offenses with a pulse. There were warning signs after the UK game.
Texas defense national ranks over the last 3 games:
114th - Points/Game (34.7)
93rd - Yards/Game (408.3)
104th - Points/Play (.458)
101st - Red Zone Scoring (90.9%)
yep. Everybody thought we'd be fine by just getting Taaffe back but the warning signs have been there well before he was out.

Relating to a coach due to his ethnicity is far less important than listening to the coach who has put a ton of players in the league.
Kerry Coombs had no issue relating to players.
The issue is Akina isn't getting these guys ready to play. Not seeing any big improvements year over year other than McDonald and that last game wasn't a great example of it.
D Williams has taken a major step back.
This is how I learned he isn't black lol...that is a very black guy sounding name

Players make plays Hobbes. Mack looked like the best coach in the country in 2005. Kirby's guys executed and ours didn't. We dropped the ball when it was thrown well and missed receivers when we needed to hit them. Of course at the end of the day it's the coach's fault, and that rings true for every team. Even the team who is top 5 every single year but keeps losing to lesser teams while beating the good ones.
So what explains barely beating Kentucky and Miss St then? Do we not even have better players than them? You equivocate so much you end up saying nothing. -
We've lost 3 ball games. Two of them to teams better than us. We lost three ball games last year. All 3 to the only two teams who recruited better than us. We just aren't finding a way to beat teams that are more talented than we are. It's as simple as that. Arch is a 5 star. Well, so is Georgia's QB. Georgia is executing better than we are because they are better than we are. You guys pissed about us losing to Georgia after watching us this first part of the season blow my mind.
So you see no coaching deficiencies, huh? Just a talent difference? Are you that stupid or just being obtuse? -
