Just one comment and we can drop the derailment. For all the criticism the DNC has gotten for clearing the field for hillary, if only the RNC would have operated that way we most likely wouldn’t be in this mess. Imagine if they had strong armed all but a couple out of the race early on. Trump may not have gotten traction. Hell as it stood, they even had a chance to deny him the nomination at the convention despite his delegate count per their bylaws. More than one pundit on NPR the week before thought they would. But they were idiots and or cowards and here we are
Not to mention the entire reason for the creation of the Electoral College was to save us from just this scenario. The whole system is full of cowards.

Nah, I was enlisted. We were too busy actually doing shit to notice officer politics.

No, it's just a meh island that gained it's reputation through great marketing...similar to Nassau only WAY further away

Pickled pigs feet, anyone?
My maternal grandmother was from Germany, and she loved pickled pigs feet and pickled eggs. Anytime she ate it, I would just stare in slack jawed horror.

Probably because Aruba sucks, unless you like heavy surf, bad food, and constantly being sandblasted because of the crazy wind.

When I was in the Navy I was under the impression that becoming an Admiral was difficult...Ronny Jackson makes a compelling argument against that notion.

Well, I THINK I used the term correctly here. Correct? IQ is based on median score - half of folks score below that median score, half score above it (and, as I understand, IQ tests try to set it so that a score of 100 reflects the true median -- it's adjusted over time, as (hard to believe) we are getting smarter).
You absolutely used it correctly, it just struck me as funny because the literal definition of median for anything is that 50% are above, and 50% below.
I wasn't saying it to be a smart ass, it just made me laugh when I read it...and after a tough battle in the market today, it was just the levity I needed.

50% of Americans are of below-median intelligence
Ok, this literally made me laugh out loud. Thanks Brisket, I needed it.

So Separate But Equal is still good law?
Just to be clear, I'm not defending Plessy vs. Ferguson. I'm merely pointing out that, as David noted, it was never officially overturned.

Fair enough. I'm more a fan of tropical islands, as opposed to Cays.
Off topic, but if you like diving, you should try Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt). Fantastic reef diving.

Grand Cayman is my favorite so far. Nice beaches, solid diving, things to do, and no 3rd world country feel like T&C and others have felt. Stay at Rum Point and avoid the cruise ships and high traffic areas of 7 Mike Beach. We’re renting a house either fall break or Christmas break again this year.
Just curious, where else have you been? Grand Cayman is one of my least favorite Caribbean Islands. I found it to be lacking a distinct culture and way too expensive.

I'm timid to stay at Atlantis even though it seems to be the only good casino.
Not true...Baha Mar is a much better casino...of course I might be biased since I worked on the project for 5 years.
As for other Islands, I really like St. Lucia, Martinique, and Dominica

I'm sure it is, he said all abortions, and they're not human anyway, so why does it need to be more "highly" regulated than any other similarly complex procedure ?
Abortion beyond a certain date in the gestation period is murder, and there's no talking that away by calling a baby in a mothers womb a fetus.
I believe the right to an abortion is valid, but late term for any reason other than the safety of the mother is a monstrous and murderous act.
I hear you and respect your opinion.
When life begins (conception, birth, some point in between), and what constitutes murder (war, executions, justifiable homicide, etc.) is clearly a complicated issue. For these reasons, I tend to be more in line with David...it's between a woman and her doctor.
The truth is there are very few abortions after 20 weeks (around 5k a year) and the majority of those because of health issues of the woman and/or the fetus. If a fetus is known to have a disease or malformation that won't allow it to survive outside the womb, should a woman be required to carry to term? I'm sure that for most women, the decision to abort, especially late term, is not a choice that's taken lightly, so if she and her doctor think it's the best course of action, then I have to respect that decision.

Really ?? Why should they be highly regulated if it's just a fetus and not a human ??
I can't speak for David, but he probably means they should be regulated because late term abortion is a complex medical procedure.

Anti-holocaust folks wanted to require everyone else to abide by their opinions. Bastards.
Wait, what? That doesn't even make sense. Please elaborate.

you ARE allowed to form an opinion on whether or not abortion is an immoral injury to a helpless human independent of anything else.
If it were "just an opinion" nobody would care...but anti-abortion folks want to require everyone else to abide by these... opinions

I know what it means. PP calls itself a non-profit while booking a cool $100,000,000 a year.
No shit.
Do YOU call that a non-profit?
Holy crap, either you're doing some hardcore 4D trolling or you're way out of your league in terms of understanding finance/accounting...well, hell, I should just say understanding how business works.
Wildcat has tried to explain it to you multiple times, yet, somehow, you still can't wrap your head around the very simple concept of how PP can be a 501(c)(3), while not having expenses be higher than revenue.
Do you even Joel Olsteen, bro?

OK, I'll play.
This is an abortion at 24 weeks.
Just for a little perspective, only about 1% of all abortions in the US happen past 21 weeks (~5,500), but 16 million kids in the US live in households without the means to get food on a regular basis. I think you're focusing on the wrong problem.

I think he's talking about betting odds, not odds of success.
On a related note, I heard about this study on NPR...
Black boys raised in America, even in the wealthiest families and living in some of the most well-to-do neighborhoods, still earn less in adulthood than white boys with similar backgrounds, according to a sweeping new study that traced the lives of millions of children.
