I am curious to see if KC's legal team tries to lean on the victim's family and attorney to try and get them to settle and sweep this under the rug.

you are about fifty years behind the times

it's much more likely the Chiefs do everything they can to co-opt her sympathetic public profile by embracing her

People actually play the game as Notre Dame?

Probably a lot, it's still a pretty popular brand. But I think for the vast majority of players, the utility in having Notre Dame in the game as Notre Dame is so that when you beat the fucking piss out of them 69-0, you get the satisfaction of seeing TEXAS 69 NOTRE DAME 0 on the scoreboard.

I don't see how a regular season win makes or breaks him. It's going to come down to the tournament.

I agree with this-- unless it went Challenger and we finished the COVID-truncated version of 8-20, the regular season wasn't going to get him fired. If we lose out and finish 14-12, that obviously should be enough but I'm not optimistic.

But I don't think the tournament can break him, either. I think it can only make him. We won't be a high enough seed that a first-round loss can be considered (by itself) a disaster. He can certainly reboot the "Shaka Smart is a tournament genius!" narrative if we make a deep run, though. If we get hot (we have the talent) and make the Elite Eight, we'll get a lot of "see this is why we hired him!" garbage until about 12-15 games into next season when it becomes obvious he's going to be let go.

Don’t lie, you used to eat at the Thomas Buffet there next to the hobby shop.

I did eat there once! THOMAS SUPOR BUEFFET! Our little group of tech bros used to see that place and laugh at it and we finally decided one day to try it, almost on like a frat boy dare type thing.

It was everything you might have expected. I don't remember it well but I'm pretty sure they had a bin of ravioli and a bin of "fresh" shrimp right next to one another on the buffet.

  5. "Les Miles offered a secret settlement an LSU student intern"

she's missing a word in this sentence and it changes the meaning dramatically

if he offered a secret settlement TO an LSU student intern, that's one thing

if he offered AS a secret settlement said intern, well.... that's human trafficking, brother, and KU wants no part of that

but check with Baylor, you never know
