So is Foster and Ibraheem ( unless I missed it ) the only 2 in-state guys for this class that we really like that aren't coming?  The local kid committed to Bama'?

Roach has Ibraheem on his list as well as Jordon Thomas for the poster below.

I think so, but Wells just tipped Earle or Coffey, so I'll replace my third with one of them

That’s not exactly what he said, a poster asked if one of Earle, Coffey, Neville or Tunmise could be a surprise commit and he responded with maybe.

He also ruled out Clayton Smith as a possibility to commit this weekend.

Even better, they have two freshman qbs. One is highly recruited Jack Sears and the other, Clovis, a 3*. Helton has tied his job to Clovis and the 5* hit the portal already. Just brilliant maneuvering.

Sears isn’t a freshman, 2017 class, he’s actually already graduated from USC and planning to grad transfer now.

Johnson is more of a 15-20 carry workhouse type runner with 4.42 forty speed ( Opening result ).

Campbell is is kinda' an APB back type.  He's got some impressive camp numbers, especially a 4.07 shuttle.

Campbell seems to want to be at Texas, but the staff may see what happens with Johnson and Wheaton before taking a commitment.

Nahlin keeps hinting that he thinks the staff could get Johnson to shut it down this coming weekend if they want.

I know we have Collins in the calculator, but I think the fallback option if disaster strikes is the DL from Missouri, Redding.

If some crazy shit happened and we missed on Collins I’m pretty sure we’d just stand pat at 3 on the DL unless somebody blows up on senior film.

After Eaton, Jordan, probably continue to work on Collins, see if Jaxon wants to flip and focus on winning football games.  If we spank LSU, we may flip Josh White and that would be our target.  Apparently Orlando still trying to get Flowe to come.

    Remaining uncommitted guys:

    Eaton - Friday

Ty Jordan - sometime before end of Aug.

Alfred Collins - calculator but nobody knows when

    Javian Hester - who knows

Levon Bunkley-Shelton - Look good here but won’t decide until after the season.

Flip candidates were still working on:

    Jaxon Smith-Njiba - Ohio State

    Lathan Ransom - Ohio State

    Bryson Washington - OU

    Chris Thompson - Auburn

    Jahari Rogers - Florida

    Josh White - LSU

Appreciate the reset.  What's the consensus on the timing of Eaton's announcement?

Roach said he’s had Eaton on commitment watch since Wednesday so any time and Wells also said this morning Johnston was likely today.

Perroni says aggy leads for him.

However, no crystal ball and he usually jumps to put one in on stuff like that.

Thomas definitely gave one of the Ag sites quotes recently that they were leading, I still think he ends up in Texas class when it’s said and done.

Yeah, they sold that loss like it was a super bowl win. And largely seemed to succeed.

Was he truly at aggy? I thought he just lived in the land of the lost.

Does anybody have the screen shot or list of guys Perroni/Wiltfong crystal balled coming off that Clemson list, obviously got Demas coming off the high but I’m pretty sure they largely struck out after that, Broughton, Collins, CTJ were all part of the run they put in picks on directly after the loss.

Just to clarify the cryptic post was literally Wells saying “Just give me Jaxon Smith-Ninja” and a link to his highlights. Then a bunch of posters making the assumption that he wouldn’t just post that out of nowhere for no reason.

I’m sure this will come as a shock to everyone, but they they have 15 commits, only 5 of which are on defense and their top 4 commits are all offense.

They’re a top 5 team in the country in terms of offensive talent. Defensively, I’m not sure they’d crack the top 20.

They really aren’t in on any other big targets either so it’s not going to get much better, lucky for them Texas and A&M are going to fill up so they’ll keep Ryan Watts.

would we really take three corners AND three safeties? I thought the goal was 5 DBs for this class, including safety, nickel, and CTJ's box safety/hybrid LB.

It’s still early but 2021 is looking very thin at DB in Texas with us only having 1 real target each at S and CB currently.
