Hope Kerstetter comes back.  Would give Majors anothet year to learn/get stronger before taking over as a RS Soph.  Okafor?  Who knows.  Maybe Jones comes back.

Kerstetter, Okafor, TQ Graham, Chris Brown and Jacoby Jones are 5 I think that are all fairly realistic and could help quite a bit next year.

Have to imagine they’ll suspend the 85 rule for a year at least.

The real question is would Ehlinger come back for another year even if he plays 10 games this season? That would be crazy. He could lay claim to just about every UT QB record if he did that.

    holy. fuck.

LET'S GOOOOOOO. Fuck a Redshirt. Shipley eligibility for EVERYONE!!!!

Also, how in the world are they going to handle the 25/85 in 2021 with 2022 kids, etc?

The way I’ve interpreted it is that it will only apply to people on their final year of eligibility and you would still have to stay under the 85/25 for you incoming class and any non seniors.

Do we need another QB if Sam comes back for year 5?

It’ll be interesting to see what Sam does with this, I imagine a lot will depend on the season. If we do what we’re supposed to and win the conference I imagine he moves on. I think the bigger impact it could have is bring Okafor and possibly Kerstetter back which would be fucking huge for 2021.

It hasn't come to nut cuttin' time, yet. Pussy still been around. Now she's going up to Methlahobo, which is still a hittable distance, but it'll put in prospective for our young prospect just how much further those legs will close when he's laying his head down in Austin.

I really hope she's a terrible person because I'm rooting for this relationship to fail.

or he comes back to Denton and starts hitting all the thots at UNT and TWU

I can't debate ratings. But if you watched TXHSFB the last two years, who would you want as QB on either of those HS teams? Not even close.

I think JQJ is a stud but “Not  even close” is ridiculous. Lake Travis runs a great system with excellent coaching but Duncanville is a talent factory with 3x the amount of D1 guys during the last 3 years. Card dominated at LT just as well as he would have dominated at Duncanville, 68% completion 3,543 yards 50 TDs 4 Ints 619 yards rushing 9 TDs as JR.

A couple of recruits were laughing and poking fun at having Banks in the dream 2022 class edit.

Genuinely curious are you talking about the most recent dream class edit from a fan Instagram account that Ewers shared or is this a different instance? Also I know we’ve been plagued with the “dream offer” bullshit but hasn’t Banks been quoted in articles that he grew up a Texas fan possibly in a pro Texas family?

The way I look at it I don’t see the point taking a high floor/late rising 3 star guy. The way things are currently shaking out his main value would be as an emergency backup (3rd string or possible 4th string depending on Thompson) in the 2021 season when he would be a true freshman and probably not ready to help much anyway.

Teams have seasons where they have to dip down to 3rd and 4th string qbs on occasion but I don’t think putting in a moderately talented true freshman would be any better than one of our preferred walk-on that has been in the system a few years or throwing RoJo back there. A grad transfer who would be ok with a backup role may be a different story.

I think a lot of people looking at the pro’s of taking a guy that’s a high floor career back up including myself will point to Clemson winning in 2018, without Chase Brice coming in and saving the day when Lawrence went down they probably don’t win it all. Also I’m not just talking about 2021, this includes 2022 and possibly 2023 as well because it’s going to be hard to land another elite before 2024 with Ewers on board.

I don’t expect James Brock or Milroe to play any meaningful downs at Bama in their careers. I don’t think they would’ve played here either. 2020 is fucking wild.

I hope neither transfers out before we go to Tuscaloosa to push their shit in

I agree. It reminds me more of that time when we were going to have to figure out who to turn away from the LB haul of Baron Browning, Dylan Moses, Anthony Hines, Levi Jones, and some other cats.

It really reminds me of the time we were trying to figure out who to turn away out of Sterns, Foster, Overshown, Green, Cook and Jamison...

that's what we did with ash and case. that shit didn't work out. recruits players like they are going to see the field.

Like I said I’d love to have Drones but the odds are he’s going to look at the situation the same as Milroe and say thanks but no thanks and it’s going to be just as difficult to get a stud in 2023 following Ewers.

A David Ash level prospect would actually be exactly what Texas could use this class, I believe Ash would have been a solid starter as an upperclassman if not for the injuries. Texas needs to do what Clemson did and find a Chase Brice that’s willing to come in and sit for 3 years develop and hopefully grad transfer because we landed another 5* in the 2024 class to take over after Ewers.
