The only thing worse would be Mike Stoops calling plays.

We’re likely minutes away from the Shawn Watsoning of this guy’s run as HC at Texas.

Is that what you’re hearing or are you guessing?

What would you think if he was paired with Ansley as Co-DC?

Who are thinking will be the main guys?  Moore, Whittington, and Smith?  Maybe Washington and Omeire if he comes back healthy?

No more Schooler and Money IMO.

    Is Harrison coming back?

Have think if guys like Woodard and Lewis aren't on the 2 deep they may portal out.

Gerry Hamilton said he wouldn’t be surprised if Jaden Alexis came in and made an immediate impact.

It should also be noted along with Tarp saying he was soft when he seemed OU bound that he was replaced as the starter during the year.  Won't stop Looch and aggy from saying how huge a get he is though.

Does anybody have a screen shot of this Tarp post that’s been referred to a couple times now?

  4. I don’t watch much Auburn football but looked at Bryant’s profile on the Auburn website and he has 11.5 TFL and 10 sacks in 49 career games. Doesn’t exactly matchup with the hype on this thread, am I missing something here?

I dont think I was ever too high on Odom but I do have a tendency to indulge on alcoholic beverages so who knows. I would prefer Arnett to anyone currently mentioned besides Boom. He was up for the Broyles award but I think he just got extended by MSU

I know it’s a pipe dream but would Arnett be the best choice if we’re trying to squeeze Tosh and Raymond in there?

    Arnett Co-DC/LB (lead play caller)

    Tosh Co-DC/DL

    Raymond - DB/passing game coordinator

Dallas area sports talk show host for those that dare unfamiliar.

Bryan Broaddus who he’s referring to is an ex NFL scout who writes for DallasCowboys.com now and definitely has connections all over the coaching industry.

Seeing this $12m floated reminds me of what my wife said as soon as we heard Meyer was going change his mind to stay retired for now - she immediately called bs and said Urban was leaking rumors to drive up the price. Her argument was that the wife had to have already come to terms with him coaching again and no way would Urban reconsider. Starting to wonder if she was right.

She sounds like a very smart woman.

I haven't followed the rules changes to the nth degree, but I'm guessing anyone graduating early can still enroll and sign with whomever they'd like, irrespective of when NSD is, just as it was before an ENSD existed. Postpoing an early one would just delay the signings of guys who aren't graduating early.

Although it would make a bigger difference with the non EE kids, would also give the new coach a chance to work on flipping EE all the way up until they enrolled early.

HammLite was fooled by a fake account and posted a story and text that Bobby Taylor had committed to aggy ::

    9930021.png9930022.png?width=600&fit=bounds

He also said the reason he got fooled is because the fake account had a commitment edit he sent to Taylor “just incase”.

    1. That’s weird as fuck they’re making commitment edits and sending them to recruits just in case.

    2. It’s awfully suspicious the edit you sent directly to Taylor made its way to a fake account to post, almost like Taylor is trolling the shit out of them right now.

I hope this means they tapped out on Shemar Turner. Yes, I know they don't play the same position, but nonetheless.

Wiltfong’s VIP note on it mentions his sources say 70/3 Ags for Taleeq Robbins from Philadelphia, which would give them 5 DL commits. Obviously they’d trap door someone for Turner but still interesting.

I've said before -- Jackson is all athletic potential. Not a good football player currently.
ARGYLE has 42 points and 433 yards at the end of 3 quarters.

I’ll be honest I’ve never watched a PG game but you’re really saying a kid with 264 tackles, 60 TFL, 37.5 sacks, 10 FF, 5 FR and 14 PBU in 3 seasons (think he missed half of his sophomore season too) isn’t a good football player?

Though, as @Burt Macklin said in some thread, it's more that he's like the 8th best lineman, and Hand will shuffle things around rather than just promote him if (God forbid) Cosmi goes down.

I think this is correct but also think we should blow UTEP out and this would be a good opportunity to get him live reps. Hopefully we’re able to get him quality reps in 3-4 games so he’s better prepared to potentially take over LT/RT next year.

A good Oklahoma is good for Texas and a good Texas is good for Oklahoma. I mean there are three kind of fluky things that kept the two programs from winning half of the national titles in the 2000-2010 decade.

Jason White gets hurt and can’t throw a forward pass in 2004. OU loses by 7.

Colt gets hurt against Alabama in 2010 after moving the ball dominately prior to injury.

Demarco Murray gets hurt in 2009 on a kick return in game already won that keeps him out of the national championship game. OU has several red zone trips ending in goal line stands by Florida.

Could easily have been 5 nattys in 10 years between the two. Hopefully Herman gets his shit together because it brings more respectability to the conference. Iron sharpens iron.

2008/09 is more like if Texas doesn’t get fist fucked by the media/coaches and put behind a OU team they beat by 10 points.

Looks like aggy went with 2 different types of edits at midnight - this one appears to be the most common style ::

while this one (Ty Simpson here) indicates a bit higher profile or target ::

    Eg1v9XFWsAElmYv?format=jpg&name=large

or this one (in Donovan Green's composite pic) -- which, like the Ty Simpson edit, appear to sell Adidas more than aggy, which is probably smart ::

    Eg1LNS0WoAEqoYI?format=jpg&name=large

I think we did the same thing, with the edit the OL that everybody is bitching about in the 2022 thread being the generic one and the 3 part “Your Texas story starts now” being for the high priority targets.

So did he actually get in? Hell of a job by Charlotte to get him qualified if so.

Not sure when he actually got cleared academically but NCAA doing away with the SAT/ACT requirement might have played a big part for him
