Players say they are making 6 figures and aggy says none of it is NIL. That seems like a pretty honest and accurate summary of aggy recruiting.
This is the right conclusion.
Kids got paid to go to aggy, and aggy told them it was NIL. Kid hits portal and say they got x amount in NIL. Portal teams research and find the kid has no NIL deals.
But hey, no lying, cheating or stealing.

For those who love Hawaii but get surly around people and crowds/traffic, Molokai.
Been to all the big 4 several times, Lanai once and making 3rd trip to Molokai in September. Direct flight from AUS-HNL on Hawaiian, grabbed the good seats for only 4K round trip, adult kids in the back of the bus for 479/ea
Puddle jump to MKK for 136 so an extra 2,500 to bring the 4 kids is not bad at all.
We stay in the same couple of condos on the SE side, pretty nice waterfront place thats only about 150/night but would be 3x on Maui.
Coffee and sunrise on the lanai then we head to the west side where the beaches are incredible and deserted to hang and watch sunsets. Actually, all the beaches are deserted. First trip there we saw exactly zero people on the west side. Last year there were consistently 7 or 8 people on a 3 mile stretch, but only one couple one day at our favorite little spot.
There’s an old resort that was deserted the first time we went, last time a few of the units were occupied and we rented one for 60/night so we would have bathroom/shower and fridge while we hung out, plus no issue using the pool. Sunsets are pretty great, then head back, stop at hotel Molokai or paddlers for food and a bar, then back to the East side. Get up and do it again.
Molokai has its own version of the road to Hana, the road to Halawa. It’s about an hour drive and we didn’t pass a single car the last time we were there. When we got to Halawa there was a car there and this kid approached us and asks if we are there for the hike to the falls. We were not, but we chatted for a while while he waited to see if anyone showed up (they didn’t) so we went ahead and made the hike. Apparently it’s a daily occurrence now and someone from the East side ranch just waits around from 8-9 to see if anyone shows.
There’s not a lot to do if you crave schedules and nightlife. Theres a few restaurants and bars, almost everything is closed Sunday, but if you like beach bumming and 4x4 excursions with a Gillian’s island feel to things, this is the spot. Many of the beaches are accessed by jeep trails, and the car rental place has no rules other than bring it back with gas.
Sunrise over Maui
Sunset with Oahu in the distance
our favorite little beach
The 3 mile beach on the west side with its usual crowds
everyone we encountered were great, there’s a slight undercurrent with a few locals though. They like travelers but don’t like tourists, don’t act like an aggy.
and the obvious…

Exactly. Some of us like the distinction between college football and the NFL...what little is left.
It's bad enough the schools are trying to ruin what makes college football distinct from the NFL (jumbotrons, commercials, less band playing and more canned music, etc.), let's not change some of the rules that also provide a uniqueness. With the NIL and the Transfer Portal dramatically changing the makeup of the teams from one year to the next, the distinction in the rules is all we have left of the college football that we preferred over the NFL.
The only NFL thing I want the NCAA to adopt is the replay rules. That's it.
Free agency is what turned me off from the NFL (the strikes didn’t help).
i have no problem with the players getting paid, I just couldn’t have imagined Staubach or Randy white playing for any other team.Dorsett going to Denver and Earl going to New Orleans were just wrong. I would like to see transfer rules in college get scaled back but it’s not a 1:1 with free agency because college is so transient. Players “careers” are only 3-5 years (except for guys named weeden or Martinez, or 5’3” RBs at Kansas state) so you get used to the churn.

The thing is with the amount networks are paying for these rights they're not cutting back ads at all, so anyone who brings that up should full stop.
IMO rule 4 changes the game fundamentally as mentioned earlier. With rule 4 proposal how does that work on long incompletions including with play clocks and etc?
3 is the best way to speed up games without messing up too much of the game. The NFL runs that rule and their games are about 3 hrs to 3 hr 10 minutes, not including OT. It feels like most college games are 3hr 15min to 3:30 min.Speeding up the games also allow the networks to control the windows and such more so than a say game where we play Tech that starts at 2:30 and ends at 6 or 630.
Games won’t be shorter, just look at all the extra TV timeouts they can cut in!
Rule #4 could be helped in that regard if the team on offense is allowed to say we want to use THAT ball. Remember when you were a kid and the long bomb went across the street, down the creek and into the drain pipe and someone had to crawl in and get it? Not the same but it would allow more time for receivers to get back to LOS.
3 most likely passes and has an impact.

Brunch is a combination of breakfast and lunch, where it sits between both standard meal times.
Lunch and Dinner would be some other combination, call it Linner or Dunch, whatever. But what you've done there is somehow combine Brunch and Dinner, while skipping over Lunch entirely despite the fact you'd be well past the Brunch designation, and well onto just "lunch." What in the ever loving fuck are you thinking here?Giant motherfucker from Chicago tried to convince me that lunch is called dinner and dinner is called supper, all while he was smoking “fags”.
i told him to take his dumb ass back to Chicago, so he snorted like 6 lines of meth and whooped my ass. He whipped me so bad he had a heart attack, so really I won that fight because I’m still alive.

Game notes:
Casey Cain lands like a wet noodle. But his hands have been good so far.
Bijan wants to play and he can’t stand it. We have some good young backs but they aren’t bijan.
Our TEs are spending all their time blocking, not an offensive threat thus far.
QE still has the yips, hopefully the off-season helps him heal and overcome his issues.
Sark looks like an OC who should be sitting in the booth instead of squatting on the sidelines. He’s hanging in the rafters, his ceiling is probably the highly paid OC somewhere.

Jimbo FIsher and Co. are in the midst of yet another strong close, flipping four prospects previously committed elsewhere over the past couple of weeks, highlighted by El Campo RB Rueben Owens. But we've known for a while that momentum in '23 hasn't come close to matching what the Ags had cooking on the recruiting front last year, That said, the Ags are likely to wind up with a top-15 class following a 5-7 season and, with a couple of late adds, could push for top-10 honors and will do so with a couple of monster signees headlining the list. From there, you'll see Fisher and his staff aggressively attack the portal from now until mid-January, which will probably feel like a second Signing Period in and of itself.
So as we sit here around 10 pm on Tuesday night and the A&M coaches tirelessly work the phones, let's take a quick look at what's still out there for tomorrow in terms of remaining targets not currently committed to the Ags.
As of tonight, I"d say there are two prospects who are legitimately worth watching, Louisiana OT Caden Jones and Alabama five-star corner Tony Mitchell.
Jones told us this week he was planning to wait and announce later in the process and sign in February, but it's one worth watching because the Ags knocked his weekend visit out of the park. Now, Caden could ultimately turn out to be a guy who signs early, keeps it quiet until his announcement, he could wait things out as originally planned or could end up signing somewhere and letting it be known tomorrow. Regardless of how, sources in College Station and Gainesville are aligned in terms of believing this one has a lot of Maroon & White momentum to it.
Tony Mitchell was a one-time A&M lean and is a longtime Alabama commitment. However, recent buzz has had Hugh Freeze thrusting himself into the mix and Auburn suddenly becoming the most-likely destination for the lockdown cover man. However, as of this evening, the Ags were still very hard at work and chipping away at a young man who has always had quite the affinity for A&M and who Jimbo and D.J. Durkin have prioritized from wire to wire. I wasn't feeling great about the Ags' chances following his weekend OV (it went well but the behind-the-scenes buzz was saying Bama and then, over the past couple of days, War Eagle) but this one has the feel of a wild ride to tomorrow's finish line. Stay tuned, as momentum here will likely flip several times between now and when Mitchell signs.
And by the way, can we retire 'FlipSZN' and 'HIM' already? Two of the most overplayed, 'look at how cool I am on social media' phrases in the recruiting industry in years and I'd love to them go away for good in 2023.
Edit to add I still feel great about A&M's chances with both Oklahoma WR Micah Tease and UNC transfer corner Tony Grimes.I think I hit bingo after the second paragraph, I blacked out my whole card before I was half way through.
I guess he doesn’t care if older Aggies get wise to his shtick as long as their acceptance rate continues to look like an MLM scam.

I don't know shit about volleyball but that first set was TENSE.Beard should have ben hanging with Jerritt Elliott, hell, most of our coaches should spend more time with him.
if Beards GF is a 6 or better as some of the thirsty surly believe, then Jerritt landed a 12. He’s a great coach and he’s a closer, and makes <1/10 what Beard makes.
he’s won 14 of the last 16 conference titles, been to the final 4 10 of the past 15 Dudes legitPete Carroll tried to get him to quit VB and go coach football for him as an assistant when he was at USC.

Alright I don't even give a shit about what happens to Beard or what UT decides to do but as a father of daughters I probable should get some legal clarity on this from you legal types:
1. If I wake up in the middle of the night and some guy is in my house, and in my daughter's bedroom, without my permission or knowledge, would it be legally better for me to just shoot him versus getting in a physical altercation?
2. If I catch a intruder in my house in the middle of the night, am I in legal jeopardy if I physically assault him? As a follow-up, if my minor daughter (who does not own my house) declares some guy her "boyfriend", does this give him some legal protection to now break in to my house?
3. If my minor daughter can give someone permission to break into my home without my permission, can she also give her permission for her "boyfriend" to take my car? Furthermore, if he does take my car, can I shoot him now?
In summary, Any advice on when I can shoot my daughter's boyfriend would be appreciated.
I would just sit on the porch under the big zapper light with a 30-30 in my lap. I got a reputation, but boys would have the daughters home by 9:55 if the curfew was 11.
pretty sure one of the assholes wrote a song about it.

I've heard horror stories of guys defending themselves from drunk girlfriends and being hauled to jail. Honestly the optics are so bad he's probably going to be fired no matter what the facts say, so he's gotta go.
On the specific topic of whether he "tried to strangle someone to death" I agree with the posters saying let's wait for the facts to come out. I want to hear more facts before I say he's an attempted murderer. But right now it doesn't look good at all.
Crazy GF in college, one drunk night neighbors called cops and when they got there she tried to fight the female officer and went to jail.
fast forward a few months and add mushrooms, she trashed my place and cops came again. This time it’s 2 guys, she started bawling and saying “I don’t want to go to jail” so they picked me.
It does happen, but he was charged with a FELONY. I was never charged and went home the next morning, so I would say there’s a 100% chance he did something bad.
i saw the craziest shit that night…
