Yeah that was similar to the ass rapings Bob gave Mack.  It means a lot to you.  But won’t kill recruiting or the team.
And on the national scale the only talk is how great LSU is.  Not how badly they raped a half strength OU D that was average before the losses.
But please gloat.  And this is the recruiting board.  A whole different animal.  I get it.

Yeah and those rapings were fucking embarrassing. I, for one, wasn’t going around two weeks laters saying “oh well OU is a really good team so it doesn’t look nearly as bad now.”

Gloat? All I did was point out the facts of the game, and told you it was a bad, bad loss. If I wanted to gloat I would’ve pointed out how tickled I was watching OU put together the most embarrassing post season performance I’ve ever seen in a big game (to be fair ‘04 USC and the epic UGA comeback are right up there).

Regarding recruiting, I don’t think it’ll affect you guys too much - though it would be interesting to know how much the loss played into the 5* GA QB decommitting. Until a team steps up and keeps you from winning the conference yet again, recruiting won’t be a problem.

Yep. That LSU loss doesn’t look nearly as bad after they depantsed Clemson.

    LO-fucking-L.

They were up 49-14 at HALF. They scored touchdowns on 9/11 drives and set multiple records in doing so. The game was over 6 minutes into the 2nd quarter. Don’t kid yourself, it did and still looks very  bad.

So any Baylor recruits that didn't sign early that we want, now that it looks like Rhule is going to the Panthers? Didn't we have some flip from us  to them late in the process? Any early signees that want to petition for a release from their LOI?

Gotta think it helps with Princely. Wonder if their signees will be released from the LOIs with impunity. Maybe we make another run at the CB from Austin?

Average team recruiting rank in the 12 years (2006-2017) since the greatest game ever:

     USC #5.1

    Texas #8.9

I’d say a team in your state has done worse.

You could say it, unfortunately you’d be wrong.

    Conference Championships

    Texas - 1

    USC - 4

    Wins
    Texas - 116

    USC - 129

That’ll happen when you stack 3 consecutive losing seasons though - thanks Charlie!

...Dorbah should fit the hybrid role he describes for Ossai here, and it should be noted that there isn't much depth behind Ossai now, except maybe Vaughns.

Vaughn’s coming back? Had a glance at his twitter, very little Texas content and location is Forth Worth. I don’t make a habit of Twitter so can’t speak to whether that’s changed recently or not, just found it interesting given his getting sent home from the bowl game.

Jimbo is a master of inflating his recruiting rankings by taking kids he knows will never play an important down for him. The mercenary approach can only work for so long, before the wheels come off like they did at FSU. Georgia is successfully navigating the mercenary approach, but I find it troubling for 2 years in a row Georgia's best players prefer to sit out rather than play for Kirby.

Exactly my thoughts last night when they were going through all the UGA gets not playing— That’s what you get when you buy players who’s main loyalty is to the dollar.

  7. I don’t really think the kid had the intentions of committing to Texas just to boost a GoFundMe page. Regardless in the end he comes off looking like a real jackass after all the publicity he drummed up talking about his mom and how important she is to him. But I’m sure he won’t regret moving halfway across the country from his ill mother in what very well could be the last months of her life.

Rakestraw just hurt his knee, so cross him off.

Weird looking injury, nothing dynamic about it that you’d think would lead to an injury..

Dont think we’ll offer regardless, but hoping the kid is okay - I’d bet he’s P5 bound if it’s nothing serious.

This seems a bit cumbersome to put up on the side of their stadium but I’m sure they’ll find a way because, you know, Aggie engineering.

Imagine being such losers that you feel the need to brag about the SPREADS of games - not actual results, not predictions, lines designed to get even money on both teams (and most bettors are dumbasses who overrate SECSECSEC). Pretty sure I’ll be betting a fair number of these games.

Oh they'll be in the playoffs without a doubt. That doesn't mean because their D got better this year that it can't be figured out. Ohio State would stomp ou right now. Clemson, too, I believe. Not sure about Bama. They seem sluggish, plus like us they're playing a ton of freshmen because of injuries.

Damn - maybe I’m a masochist but this OU team in not that good. We should meet them in the CCG again and have a great shot at beating them.

  11. Drop today hurt, but not ready to write him off yet. Reality is he didn’t get many carries today and the only one I remember was him ripping off 7 yards followed by shack shitting the bed with a bad snap. Roschon balled out today but IMO we really didn’t get to see enough volume to make a judgement either way. Both dudes have had their days and I hope Roschon can still make a run at QB

Just from the top of my head:

Dede Westbrook(Jaguars) No.1 target for that team.

Hollywood Brown(Ravens) No.1 target for that team.

Sterling Shephard(Giants) Top 2 targets for that team.

Kenny Stills(Texans) No.1 target behind Hopkins

Like someone asked you to, take a break.

Chark is far and away WR1 for the Jags.

    Brown/Andrews for Bal (both OU)

Engram is no. 1 for NYG followed by Tate. Shep is a JAG in NFL

    Houstons no.2 is Fuller, Stills/Coutee is 3.

Riley is good man. Also, do you fantasy?

  13. We played like reheated dog shit and kept that score within 7 against a legitimate contender - that’s the positive.

We continue to get out-recruit yet get our performer at the positions that’s require the most development (OL, DL, LB) - that’s the negative.

All this to say, I really don’t have a fucking clue but I hope we play these pussies agains because they’re not any better than us.

That post was actually fair as painful as it is to admit.

Absurd as it may sound, I think you could make the argument our D outperformed theirs today give them the field position. And Dicker is (still) nails. Return game - kickoffs and punt - is a fucking joke. Is that still “Enola Gay” Warheim?

to bring it back to recruiting (and because I’m watching am-Bama),  sure would’ve been nice If we would’ve dropped a bag for Waddle or Wilson. Excited we’ve got Bijan in the pipeline.
